Because no matter how popular Acceleracers is, the series still under HW (as the company that made Acceleracers). If Acceleracers too popular, the die cast car still come from HW. Not from Matchbox, not from Mini GT, etc. So yeah, they (HW company) still got the money from selling their toys.
Yeah I always found that it was such a stupid idea that they did this. How in the hell can Acceleracers become more popular that a old man franchise in the matter of a year and the toys still come from Hot Wheels. It was just such a stupid excuse.
I literally shouted "W H A T?!" when i heard the reason for the cancellation. No matter how crazy or how famous Acceleracers get their roots were and will always be Hot Wheels. Its like the Grave Digger Monster Truck, its famous, sure, but it will always be known that it all orginated as a mud bogging truck.
Apparently it was going to be revealed that alongside verts dad, Alec, Dan, Banjee and even Esmeralda were part of the silencerz. The plot twist was basically that the silencerz were members of world race. I think when Lani said those things to Kurt it was foreshadowing the ending. When it comes to Esmeralda one of the producers actually said that she might be a silencerz too. Banjee we all know about his silencerz toy lmao.

And then i got dissapointed even more when i couldnt find the 5th movie. I have been searching almost every one or two years the whole internet since then , and nothing official ever comes up. At first i heard that hotwheels sold acceleracers rights to mattel( correct me if im wrong) Now this theory that it was becoming more popular that hw it self, i ve been hearing that the last year. So i dont know. But if hotwheels releases cars for unleased with acceleracers liveries, and even writes twittes like this, maybe just maybe there is a slight chance a small sequel might emerge someday, or at least some official answers about the actual ending. But yeah i havent lost hope in the last 12 years and i dont think i will. I believe that someday we might get the sequel we all deserve.
I hope you are right, Acceleracers was a part of my childhood - it would be awesome to see it finally get an ending. I think if they were to ever bring back Acceleracers. I'm guessing they will 'reboot' it and it will start from the beginning again but with modern CGI graphics and new voice acting + it will probably be on Netflix.

I still can’t get enough of the movies, but I’m also just a bit glad they never made 5th (hot topic, I know). My reasoning behind this is that it leaves what the ending will be like up to the end user to make his own understanding of how it all unfolds. But the writing and screenplay in this series was just so good it really does deserve a proper ending.
The dumb reason that acceleracers was cancelled was that the marketing team thought that Acceleracers would become more popular than Hot Wheels. Back then when Acceleracers was only aired in Toonami, not Cartoon Network, Acceleracers wasn't popular. Also, it's Toonami's fault that they didn't include Hot Wheels. And the employee that sent that email probably was lying because it wasn't popular until 2016, so he probably hiding something mucj bigger than "it was too popular than hot wheels."
It’s similar to why Chowder was cancelled. C.H Greenblatt stated that there were new people in charge of Cartoon Network. Because of this they wanted all new programming. The network felt the series did not fit with their image or the older boys demographics.

Actually, the movies were popular, but NOT the toys They were not evenly distributed due to the limitation of technolgy at the time, and many places didn't have the cars. And the main reason why? The CoMold wheels. They were very expensive to produce, the CM5 wheels even existed on the REGULAR treasure hunt back in the day. Did they ever try the CoMo tech again? Yes, on the Bullet Proof. But it also didn't work due to the disgusting cost. Last but not least, it really seems like the HW community has an intense hatred toward track cars and fantasy cars. Probably even the brand itself knows it. Sure there were real cars that work on tracks, but...that's it. The newest Corvette C8 isn't track-ready, NOT EVEN A SINGLE ONE OF IT, ironically, the C7 and C2 are wonderful track cars. Even many classic cars are orange track cars. Irl vehicles made specifically for track usage are just collectors' cars in HW, they are completely orange track-incompatible, can't even go through a loop. HW cars are meant to be played with, and it's also the whole purpose of the track sets. And well, here we are, trying to literally make any other car Acceleracers by Tekuize them or Drone-ify them. Therefore, Mattel was too dumb at that time. The worst thing they've done, is the overpriced track sets, CoMo wheels is just next to it.
Thats probably true, without those rad CM wheels, the cars in Acceleracer, including some from the World Race, they would have been forgotten in which they did when they got retool and looked like turds 🤣 And about die cast version of real cars, not all of them can survive on the track sets, also its not that Mattel cant do anymore CM wheels, it just that they invested them onto HW Exclusive cars, aka the RLCs and Car Cultures
@@hybridShinx the CM tech required a lot of things to get done actually. Casting a metal body is somehow easier. If you're talking about Synkro and SpecTyte, the retool was understandable. Their spoiler usually deform after a certain time of abusing, and they sit higher than the hard top, making them pop wheelies when passing through top-side boosters. At least be somewhat grateful, Spine Buster almost got discontinued because there was quite literally no way to retool it.

He went from being irresponsible and selfish to selfless, and adopted many key values of growing up. It was like seeing himself in the mirror when he saw his father, signifying the lessons learned and the series at its end. “Wisdom is a circle, what you receive, you must give back” That was it. No further story was needed seeing cuz seeing his father on the other side was like the confirmation of the two of them working towards the same end as he has become like his father. Maybe another good topic for a future vid?
