Dereck said, "...Here are these forces of chaos and selfishness, and greed continuing to win out. It sucks to see. "
Very true words from a wise person. Thank you Dereck.

Good morning Derrick. Send me some positive vibes. I'm nearly over the covid fog. These bodies of ours are semipermeable. I keep forgetting. All news needs weeding by literacy, not conspiracy making. Peace to you. You are a fave artist of mine.

I didn’t know about that Album , buyers market , Albini made for Sotos. It’s apparently a controversial friendship coming back to haunt Albini’s rep. I still love Albini and will miss him.

Have you seen the Ken Burns doc on the boxer Jack Johnson, unforgivable blackness? It’s so good. He was a badass. Total badass and sadly almost forgotten

Thanks for being Authentic my friend. If we all agreed on everything, Life would be boring. I actually enjoy some smooth jazz and new age artists. Mostly because it calms my soul and shields me from the negativity. I especially got into it last year after the loss of both of my parents. I love your shares and honesty, my friend. Btw, I really enjoy "Interlude". Most of the music I'm into now is strictly instrumental, which allows me to go to places deep inside and create a special reality. Take care Dereck and God Bless!

I’m quite fond of that Cat Mother album. Great version of “Been All Around the World”; I’ve always wanted to do that arrangement but set it in 5/4 time. Regarding playing music samples, I think it has loosened up in recent years. In the earlier days of my channel, I tried to include some clips (Lovin’ Spoonful, Bonzo Dog Band) but got warnings that my videos would be blocked. So for years I didn’t try it again. But recently, after seeing how some other channels always include samples, I’ve been doing it myself, and so far I’ve been getting notices that say “The copyright holder allows this content to be used.”

I'll keep that in mind regarding playing samples.

Hey Dereck, thanks for the video. If you have one, what is your favourite Ninja Tune release?

I often wondered why you stoped playing music in the background of your older videos. I suspected the very reason you gave. Peace

Smooth jazz ? Is the person that asked you the question serious ? That genre of music should be renamed Jazz Veneered Elevator Music .
