Kevin Costner's film debut was Malibu Hot Summer (1981), However, Costner was uncomfortable with this movie because of its sex scenes.
This movie began Principal photography on August 18, 1986, one year after Costner's big break came when he played Jake, a cowboy in the western film Silverado (1985).
This film was an awesome acting match between Kevin Costner (played Eliot Ness) and Robert De Niro (played Al Capone), truly a classic crime movie.
