Gisele went to several French doctors complaining of blacking out, brain fog, pain etc etc... not one of her doctors noticed anything wrong with her. they did not pick up signs of poisoning, drugs, SA.... nothing. The gynecologist did not recognize signs of SA which is gynecology 101. I hope she sues the doctors for incompetence and malpractice.
Doctors ignore and fail to adequately treat older people. In particular as a woman, symptoms that indicate something atypical are too often ignored. Doctors now are little better than those a scant century or two in the past who bled patients to rid them of ill humors; they just have better toys and chemical pills but the same flaws. I'm not surprised they ignored this older woman instead of determining the true cause.
Apparently, the rapists even gave her several STDs, but even though she must have been utterly perplexed, and expressed that to the doctors, no-one took her seriously. It is terrifying to think that women who suspect that something has happened to them, but understandably fear being called a liar or a drama queen, cannot even rely on their doctor to help them. Where can we turn?

The police say that there were approximately 80 men on the videos but only 50 have been arrested. so another 30-ish abus3rs are running loose. Why didnt the police arrest all 80 men seeing as they had the documented names and dates + video ??

Having lived in France and many other European countries I can attest to the patriarchal mindset. Many men, without ever questioning, act as though it is their 'right' to have, do, and demand whatever they desire from women. If a woman makes a stand, she will be subject to physical and verbal abuse. This is why this case is so critical. It is shedding light on what has always been there.

This is so needed. I grew up in and live in France. The culture of misogyny is so, so embedded in society here. I mean all countries have issues but people think of France as this civilised and enlightened country, which it is absolutely not. sadly in majority of cultures - mother by over sacrificing to families teach that women should not be respected. Too many women lie to protect their families, and even abusers. Too rarely women support each other in harsh cases.

Especially those that worked in the concentration camps. Most of the time, those people had no idea what their father or grandfather did. And they would be 'punished' by the public by losing their jobs, kids would be bullied at school, and like I said, some very physically assaulted.
I don't think anyone has sympathy for these men but I agree that these men's families, particularly their children, should be protected as much as possible. It's not the children's fault that their father's committed this crime.

In Europe, the laws are often outdated. They don't practice "common law" whereby it is the spirit and principle that matters, and rulings can become precedents which add to the laws interpretation, making the laws in sync with modern times. Instead the exact defintions in the laws practically limited the applicability. In the day and age of fast changing technologies, the lawmakers and courts just cannot keep up with time.
In the US, on the opposite, the Constitution is a prehistoric relic that is totally outdated and has rules made for a totally different context. And the Supreme Court is practically free to decide how it should be interpreted in today’s context, with an extremely partisan view and numerous corruption and other scandals with its lifetime appointed members. I just want to say for any woman out there: I’m 39 and have never woken up not remembering what happened the night before. If you sometimes experience that, I would suggest there’s something going on and maybe you need to see a doctor at the very least.
If you ordinarily would be at home asleep, there is less reason to be surprised at not remembering than if you were drugged at a bar and the last memory you had was at the bar.
