When I was a Boy Scout we carried US Army entrenching tools, the little picks and shovels, I camped with a good friend, we set up our pyramid tent and immediately trenches it to run any water away, we used candles for. cutting the chill and providing light. then we built a raised fire stand and a bench. The "Peoples Republic of Minnesota"
can get some wet summer weather so a tool bag, plastic ten mill sheeting and a stapler is a good idea, hammer and roofing nails and ten penny double headed spikes, a short crosscut wood saw and you are set.
