- Take a ride on Tomb Blaster at Chessington World Of Adventures in our on ride POV. This interactive dark ride underwent a refurbishment for 2020 with a new soundtrack, lighting improvements and other changes throughout the ride. Tomb Blaster opened in 2002 with the ride system built by Mack Rides dating back to 1987.

Although I've never been on it or seen a POV before, it looks like they've done some fantastic work to it over the closed season!
They have indeed, story is great!
So happy that they've finally pumped some money into this. It was in a particularly bad state last season! It'll never be as good as Terror Tomb but this is a definite improvement. 👍
Its really good the changes they ha mve done to the ride as was really getting tired last season. Glad they changed the soundtrack plus updated the features that set the storyline. Glad they put some money into this.

I live pretty close to chessington, and while it’s closed they turned it into a free test station that NHS workers can go to to get tested for covid-19. Very helpful if them to the community.

i have been on Tomb Blaster a lot of times and i really enjoy it everytime,my favourite things about the ride is the music and animatronics
Its one of the best rides in Chessington World of Adventures in my opinion
1:34 I once got stuck on that part, my friend got over 200,000 points because of it. About 15 minutes later we were evacuated off the ride. Apparently it was due to an electrical problem.
We were going to go on this ride today but it was closed, we aren’t sure why but we were disappointed

Anyway, it looks like there has been a refurb.
They'll be opening a drop tower in it's place next year!

I don’t like it since they changed it, it seems way darker in there and I really miss the old soundtrack, the hiss of the snake at the end is horrible now that there’s no music I’ll have to wear headphones next time cause I can’t handle that sound, whyyyyy chessington whyyyyyy plz just bring back the music 😢
