It's seems the cement she chose has a rougher grit if used alone and if you want it to be smooth you have to add smaller particles. Experiment with the cement in your local area and see what you can do to change the texture.
I will leave the question here, maybe someone will find it useful in the future. Cement and concrete are different things. You need to add sand to your cement (+ water of course) to make concrete. And cement alone is not hard or durable enough.
How do you prevent cracks using only cement and sand? I've tried countless different ratios and my planters always end up with tiny cracks as soon as I put soil in them
It can't prevent, I guess it will crack because cement, sand and water isn't enough to make it strong it has always to have another compound to put that mix stronger
You should skip the music and talk. This should be a how to video. Your description said beginners. We would like to know about materials used, where to get them and Much more. Sorry for the thumb down but all of these video for beginner is not that.
It’s very simple, you could google all the items she used, which are just a few, and voila. She might not want to talk in this video and nothing wrong with that. Sometimes there’s too much talking.. and not enough showing.
Great video, watching and learning without too much talking is great ..❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

What is better for concrete Gypsum or white cement?
Depends on your use case. You can use gypsum only in interior; cement is suitable for both inside and outside.

Cement is the byproduct to make concrete. Portland cement on its own is very weak by adding sand or other stuff it turns into a mortar mix
Can i ask you why did you add the sand and not use just concrete? Is is to make it stronger?

Are they water proof?
Concrete is not 100 percent waterproof. Consider using a sealer to make it water resistant.
