The run was ruined in the first 3 minutes. You rolled into abyss demon causing 3 damage. Literally unwatchable at this point.

@@lawbro4261 the insta kill fall distance is the same, but you can fall a fair bit farther in elden ring before you take nonlethal damage

I think royal rat vanguard is one of the "bosses" where soul vortex is actually a better option than soul spears or soul geyser, at least until the "real boss" shows up...I mean, it's royal rat vanguard so it barely qualifies as a boss in the first place, but yeah, just vortex the horde

Every time I see one of these runs, I am shocked by the difference in poison damage for 1&3 compared to 2
it's the same really, more damage less time in 2, more time less damage in 1&3. The total is the same.

It was so good in ds2 I used to run a poison only pvp build with manslayer, poison arrows and poison mist. It was so goddamn broken.

To question at 2:45:52 " Can you headshot " answered with "I don't think so , no." By dist
You CAN headshot. You can headshot any uniquely aime or thrown source of damage In Dark Souls 2. Even spells. If an enemy can be headshot, initiate unique headshot damage state , or otherwise take increased or heightened damage if it is damaged directly on the head it can be headshot! Possible sources capable of such: Spells , Throwing Knives , Urns , Arrows , Bolts!
Invalid sources NOT capable of such: Melee Weapons , Shields , Ranged Weapons used to bash, Fall Damage , Deflection or Parrying , AOE damage if hits portion of body not set to be the head. *note AOE damage can be valid but almost uniformly Is not legitimately Possible as the AOE would need to spawn and come from within the head to benefit from such and As is not possible this is functionally impossible.
However that only counts towards enemies capable of and being under the umbrella of being Headshot-Able. Many enemies and entities are not capable of being considered such and often times it Is something not determined by having or possessing a head. Many times Even if visually and represented as Taking damage squarely to the head/face it FUNCTIONALLY Is the same as being hit on any other part of the body with no preference positive or otherwise in account.
One such enemy being The Last Giant and Giant Lord (the former being fought at the time listed herein) so if this question was specifically about if The Last Giant can be headshot the correct answer is NO. If the question was if headshot is possible with spells or in general the answer is YES.
Kinda uniquely/ surprisingly despite Last Giant/Lord being the bosses and largest head proportionally he is immune to headshot increased damage and unique headshot state but the regular enemies are not protected and take heightened damage/ and are put into unique headshot state , even possessing a fully Wholly unique plunging attack state which triggers If a falling strike is death DIRECTLY to their heads! Neat huh?!

hey distortion, bright bugs and magic unleashed can probably stack, you just need to use magic unleashed first, then eat the bug. Sacred Oath and Bright Bugs can stack, but it's a similar thing. If you eat a bug then use SO, you overwrite BB, but if you cast SO then use BB, you get both.
The Taurus Demon was mad cause Dist be hitting his balls with magic all the time.

I seriously don't get it it was really good especially hosting fight clubs and fashion shows was great the community was so chill. I would use shotel in 1 hand black crypt sword and butterfly wings and cheese people on that bridge over lava hehe

People just act like ds1 was some masterpiece at launch when it was full of bugs. It took a bit before the game ran well.

The reason why people tend to hate the second one is of course releases, and disappointment in graphics because the trailers at the time seemed promising. Many people felt scammed because of the graphics. The game is also easy. Personally, I loved dark souls 2 because I think it has more content than both dark souls, ds3, and bloodborne and it actually made me want to explore the lore and story. It has shit ton of weapons to use, bossess to kill, outfits to wear, and places to explore. The fact that it was easier also helped me because I didn't have to be stuck in a single boss. Unlike other souls game, you have the choice to alter the boss battle too! For example, if you have a trouble fighting a headless woman in a pool of poison? Then you can drain the poison by lighting the windmill on fire. Also, the game itself is great for people who're just getting into ringsoulsborne series! I hope that they remake ds ii because it deserves another chance. It is an amazing game ever made.
@@VioletPrism There were a lot of changes, some small, some large, between DS1 and DS2, which means you get people who strongly prefer one or the other. The people with an actual considered opinion of the games tend to have their preferences, I personally think that the DS1 crowd is larger because DS1 has more consistent/smoother PvE.

I actually had a really fun time with DS2 sorcerry run, it never was overpowered like DS1 but by the end of base game it was still pretty powerfull. I also liked the variety of spells that you have to make use of when you don't glitch the cast number. Made it really fun to use different spells to do good damage in specific situations instead of just spamming soul spears like DS1 and 3 eventually become. But the only issue was the dlc, every single boss had way too high magic resist for it to even be fun anymore so I just switched to moonlight greatsword at that point.
Also just wanted to say that yeah it sucks for a trilogy run though because it just takes twice as long even with major glitches so I get why its the least favourite magic game😂

Probably the funnest run I’ve ever done in dsR is when I did a run where I soul duped, got max Int and Max attunment but didn’t level vit or any other stat (to try to make it somewhat a challenge)and did a pure sorcery run like this, so much fun

Why NEVER kill Smough first? I don;t have as much experience as Dist (don;t know exact hours as i played on the accursed game for windows live at first but ill guess about 500 to 800h for me in ds1) but i found super Ornstain far easier for me to fight.
ornstein is a fast moving stick while smough is fat and slow, so he's overall easier to target

It didn't. It started in Demon's souls, they dropped it in DS1, and brought it back in DS3. Demon's Souls is the first game (not necessarily canonically, but by release date), its a quadrilogy.
