    I just think this line is cleaner than boston with a better touch on the drum. just my opinion. Also that traditional drums to the box thing is so hype. Wish more groups would still do that.

    Boston is incredible, but they don’t have the same tone quality as SCV during their faster passages. They tend to lift their hands and play with the tip of the bead to push out all the notes, which at that speed you almost have to do, but it definitely effects your ability to play all the way through to the snares. It’s crazy nitpicking one of the best lines in the world, but BC is so good you have to.

    • @awefi
      @awefi 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      There are nits to pick with Boston, but sound quality isn't one of them. Clarity remains the biggest challenge for Boston with a very dense book. SCV doesn't get the same volume output per player but they're just cleaner.

    • @Wzd1213
      @Wzd1213 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You switched em. Boston plays way more through the head than SCV. The clean you’re hearing is tuning preference. Listen to both at 75% or 50%. SCV plays a lot of easy stuff really grey. The basses are not even close to playing in time. You are hearing snare wetness and equating that with clean. It’s ok to prefer a sound. But don’t say things you don’t really know about.

      @@kingofrats9311 not really that wild of a take. Listen to the other basslines by themselves. The rhythmic accuracy is just not there for SCV. Simple rhythms like triplets and sixteenths are inconsistent, 3s and 4s don’t have the same rhythmic integrity. Watch Boston, Crown, BD, Bluecoats, etc. just basses. Slow down the playback. It’s not the same. And also he said up is down, war is peace. This is the correct response. Not aggressive, just explained thoroughly in a way that works in a TH-cam comment. If he wants to go to lots and see the difference for himself, that’s fine.
