Track Tour 2021: Action 500 Montreal

- The main location and first of the Action 500 Karting tracks to have opened is this one located in the Mercier - Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood of Montreal. It's a rather large building with a high ceiling. I used to come here way back in the days when it was called Circuit 500, and I've done countless races here called the Super Enduro 500 and Challenge 500. Nowadays they use Sodi RSX electric karts, so this place no longer has that headache-inducing and eye-burning after effect from the days of their gas-powered karts. Out of all the electric karts that I've driven so far, this chassis is my favorite.

Thanks, however I do not know what my times were, I never checked or took note of it.
I just did 23sec566 tonight I weight ~ 180lb there was a bit of traffic
I wonder from what point it is considered as a « fast lap »
I got half a second of the track record on my first time at action 500. Fun track but small

I couldn't tell you, was recorded three years ago. I don't even think I checked that day either lol

which do you prefer, the action 500 experience or kart o mania? Trying to decide for a bachelor party event..
I'd say Kart-o-Mania, some would say I'm a bit biased as I used to work there a long time ago but it really does have a nice atmosphere and we always took care of those kinds of parties pretty well.

@@TheEmperorOfMan the karts at Action 500 handle better but they're electric so they drive very different than gas-powered karts. I prefer the feeling of gas-powered. In terms of the track, I also prefer Kart-o-Mania because it's more slippery which means you need to be smoother and it shows who the best driver really is. Teaches good kart control.

@@TheEmperorOfMan It's slick so smoothness is key. The less you slide the faster you'll go, so don't overdrive the kart in the corners. Keep it as tidy as you can and you'll be quicker. If you see Tom or Nadia on your day, say hi for me ;)
