Loving this build!!! New to PvP and struggled with DPD builds. This is helping me learn the world of battlegrounds.

Had to comment. I scrounged up the gear and leveled some skills yesterday, got used to it by crashing dolmens in deshaan, and took it out for a spin in some BG's today. It is a LOT of fun to play. I think your comparison of a mosquito buzzing around is an apt one. Those streaks and negates annoy other teams, and you are going to get focused regularly. However, the ability to splice 3 streaks in a row and still have magicka in the tank, plus some pretty beefy heals from the matriarch does a lot to keep you alive. I still need to figure PVP out, so my damage is abysmal, but I'm staying alive, getting the occasional kill and assist, but most important, I'm having a ton of fun playing this. I'll probably have even more fun as I figure the build out. Thanks for sharing--can't recommend this one enough :D

I'll be honest, when I saw 'Sorc Healer', I thought to myself... "meh". Super glad I watched this though; the build looks like a total blast to play, and is also pretty accessible. Can't wait to give this a try :D

Wow, just played it and helped my team destroy the other team. This build is a the "healer's revenge." Also gives me a chance to practice streak. Thanks... Is there a way to see your BG stats after you leave the game?

Hi Dooma. Question about the attribute allocation. The video states 42M/22H. The written guide states 64M. I usually defer to the written guides as they come out later, but not having some points in health leaves the health pool criminally low for PVP. So I am assuming that the video attribute allocations are correct. Can you confirm?
    Thanks!

@@DoomaExcellent! I have the build done. Now to practice piloting it …. I’m missing my Pariah w/all Impen and tri stat glyphs, but it is time to learn how to avoid damage, not face-tank it.
      No training wheels!

I love it, you got this! It may be a bit bumpy at first but keep at it. Focus on mobility and when you are in trouble just keep it simple for now with steak, bird spams, and keep your hot rolling. I’m happy for you trying it out!

Hey Dooma, by any chance do you have any healer builds for Cyro? Thx

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Hi ACR, any of the builds where CP is listed means you can play them in CP content. Just about all of them work well from my experience and the feedback from players. It just important they are used in the manner explained. For example, if it's stated a build works best in a smaller group, it probably wouldnt be a great zerg healer build, etc. This build has been the most popular healer build on the channel and website for a while now. I recommend it: th-cam.com/video/-WLi62DclNA/w-d-xo.html&t

@Dooma thx again, my dad made me that build 3 weeks ago and the videos I've recorded + screenshots are incredible. #1 in almost every BG, 2 mil heals, 6400 scores and in Cyro upholding defense even against a zerg! Easily my favorite char!!!

You have made some mistakes regarding the seducer to wretched calculations. You're not taking into account buffs to recovery like for example your major intellect 30% from potions minor intellect 15% from oakensoul. 4 pieces of light armor also gives another 12%. Capacitor passive as sorcerer gives another 10%. if you choose to run purge then you get another 10% from Magicka Aid. overall this adds up to 67% or 77% increase to magicka recovery. This means that Wretched actually provides at least 866 recovery (at 67% increase) which is equal to 433 magicka per second. That is still less than 568 which is actually 655 taking into account buffs to recovery. But you would need to sit at around 45 apm to be equal to wretched which is a very high apm. This does not count ultimate cast or stamina cast as well. There is still a difference at high apm but not near twice as much as you show in the video.

Hi there Heals! This wasn’t a mistake, it was intentional. This was showing the sets strength in a 1:1 scenario comparing specifically, set to set. Of course it's going to get wonky post-buffs. There are thousands and thousands of exact values that could have been shown by adding in a random amount of recovery buffs on one side of the equation and changing spell costs on the other.
Just like I show baseline values of builds other elements, not juiced by all the aspects of the build when things are rolling, which can be highly variable depending on the quality of the build, player ability, content, etc. Same thing applies here.
Just for perspective, you are tacking on recovery percentages based on player assumptions on one side of the equation until it eclipses the other to make a case. Same can be done on the other side of the equation by simply choosing higher cost spells.
All the messy math aside, here is the takeaway: Outside of moments where it’s necessary to spam high cost abilities, sustain is mostly a non-factor. In those moments when you have to spam your high cost abilities (the high apm window you are referencing) is when Seducer shows its value, which you are perfectly emphasizing the point of why Seducer is chosen. And I do disagree with how wide the gap is between the two in those moments for many players.
For context, I want to compare it with your example. Some of the items you listed are:
      -major intellect 30% from potions
-4 pieces of light armor also gives another 12%
-if you choose to run purge then you get another 10% from Magicka Aid.
What if they don’t roll potions well? What if they don’t have 3/3 medicinal use from alchemy? What if they used the extra heavy armor piece like I suggested lowering the light armor amount? What if they arent using purge? What if they have missing passives? (very common) This doesn’t even count for all the uncountable variables such as more proficient players not rolling pots and saving them for stam and health to prevent a death, etc.
To expand that further, but on your side of the fence: What about the flat amount returned from potions in a x use per y time example? Base recovery? Food? CP? Race? Etc.
Or in the middle: What about quality of gear changing values +/-? Same for enchants, # of CP, and all the elements that have sliding scales.
Its very easy to misrepresent a comparison, intentionally or unintentionally, in this regard.
There are also obviously times where factoring the buffs IS the better idea to demonstrate a point. But not in this type of case.
You don't know what is being brought to the table on the other end from the player. There are countless variable combinations. It’s a good idea to try and present as close to a 1:1 scenario for players in these examples and provide them with the tools in the build to make whatever you are presenting work.
Thank you for having an interest and taking the time to share your thoughts! I took the extra time to be thorough here because I value your intent. Don’t take this as being salty at all, I love these convos and I am glad you have this interest. I checked out your channel and gave you a sub. I hope it takes off for you. We need more players thinking about the underbelly of builds like this to help lift the whole player base.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to share your thoughts!
