They are being born in the city and suburban areas here in Southern CA. They are not bothered by humans or our loud sounds from buses, sirens, or loud music. It's insane
The high shrill screaming prolonged the attack, which is what all species of victims do. HOWEVER, the dad's DEEP VOICE of AGGRESSION is what STOPPED it. STILL, the coyote was ready to ATTACK AGAIN if the resistance had waned. IF THIS CHILD DOESN'T GET RABIES SHOTS, SHE CAN DIE. IF AUTHORITIES can't catch this animal, she'll HAVE TO. IT'S OBVIOUSLY MORE of a SERIOUS AND DEADLY problem than just noting their presence as an annoyance. COMPLACENCY and denial of responsibility "like everybody else" is an easy and yet deadly place to go.
@@cristinaramirez3552 If she was left unattended the way she was, chances of her even having snacks very unlikely. She's probably malnourished...lol That dad was stupid for letting her out of his sight...AND he was slow as hell. 😂
A coyote will be euthanized for this behavior, but actual humans who murder children, won't get the same? Just a thought I'm pondering on at the moment.
This would be a good example to use, when commenting on videos about the death penalty. Voicing your opinion about the death penalty on a video of a kid getting attacked by a coyote, maybe not so good.
If you know there are coyotes in the area, parents need to keep there children within arms reach or things can go real bad if they're more than one coyote.
💯💯💯💯 I think it's the dad's fault for letting baby girl walk away by herself. If it wasn't a coyote it could have been a man run up grab her cover her mouth and throw her in the car. He would have been standing there like the slow piece of crap dad that he is going: " where's the baby?"
Amen. Why the hell was she unattended near a street in the 1st place? Regardless of coyotes. She's a toddler? Keep her in the car till you are ready to hold her hand and take her inside. This attack could have been prevented.
Dad's response time was a little slow but at least he pulled through. The toddlers scream was chilling! And the coyote was dragging her on her face, she definitely would have broken her neck or worse.
@@fourfortyroadrunner6701 if you watch the video closely the coyote was able to get a second bite in the toddler before the dad even did anything. And then flinging the toddler like a rag doll when he was throwing rocks at it.
Happens quite often especially when wild animals are forced out of their natural habitat. Side note dad was moving too slow for me! 🥴Glad his daughter is doing well.
Yup I completely agree!!! He took waaaay too long to get his big stupid goofy ass over there to rescue bbgirl. Plus she could have been hit by a car! Lol 😂😂 if the coyote wasn't there to bite her and get dad to pay attention to her, lol it could have been worse.

The same is happening in the inner cities like I've said before if you're gonna tear all the trees down and build in the wooded areas where all these WILD animals live where do you expect them to go?? It's unfortunate this keeps happening and thank God they are unharmed but the fact remains, All these cooperations are building everywhere and leaving wildlife no choice.
50ft from my codo entrance is all wooded with coyotes and foxes praying they relocate some where else they are tearing up the woods that's been there for over 100 years to put a walking trail park
I live about a mile away from the beach and i have seen at least 5 times coyotes roaming around the street at 5am with a couple of times in packs of 2. There is 3 major freeways in between inland and mountains with thousands of homes in between. So yeah. These coyotes are being forced out of their habitat
This has literally nothing to do with development. Coyotes live all over Los Angeles, even in neighborhoods that were built 100 years ago. They are incredibly resilient opportunistic predators and scavengers and would continue to thrive in urban areas even if you stopped every single building project in the country.
That coyote just put an example a person could kidnap your kid that easy because the parent reacts when she screamed if it wasn't for that he'll never noticed unti later.
Either stop desamating wild places to build your home and making the existing homes for millions of animals disappear or move to a condo and deal with human predators in our filthy drug infested cities or simply avoid living with wildlife if you are too ignorant to learn how to coexist with them after making them homeless and starve them or you can simply build fences and secure the land you stole Watch your kids my friend s baby was kidnapped when baby was 2 meters from her lucky thet tackled the bastard one hr later is now out again of jail....it happens we have to be extra alert always I understand kidnappers are after children s organs for transplants precious kids kidnapped! I feel bad for the little girl I honestly do I also feel bad for the wild animals that the humans keep building and building places when there's so many places to rent or buy in town and the more people build or the wild animals live the more they will come down into town for food and water everybody knows that anybody with a brain knows that and it's quite funny how people get so angry with the animals for attacking it's called stop building homes and taking up their homes I see people complaining about animals coming down to town will stop complaining and leave their habitats alone but honestly I do feel bad for the little girl 100%. It's sad and I feel that the Dad should have been a little bit quicker
I spoke with wildlife about that years ago and he said the only thing you can do is kill the entire population because they pass their learning on. Let’s eat cats, dogs and children and now it is a learned behavior and will only get worse. He said they have to hire an urban coyote Hunter to wipe out the entire population.
The coyotes are being born in the area. It's the same over where I live. They aren't afraid of humans or the loud sounds of suburban/urban life. But damn! Walking off with children now?? 😮
@@lindacerulli797 OMG!!! That's insane! People definitely need to be more diligent and alert. I had a coyote encounter a few months ago while walking my dog. My fault because I took the dog out at dusk.
Not trying to criticize the dad but being this close to the rd the dad wasn't even watching his child .even if it wasn't the coyote the little girl could have ran out into the street and got hit by a car...first bring the child into the house than get the rest of the stuff...poor little girl this was heartbreaking to watch...
🙋♂️ I’ll criticize that dad! I’ll even share how I believe his lack of awareness while his toddler is that close to the road is borderline neglect. With how many nearly silent electric cars there are nowadays. This dude leaning into the car messing with who knows what. All while the kid is on the roadside of the car. What if instead of a coyote it was a roaming Tesla come to snatch your child. It’s not the animals fault. Blame the humans.
Gosh, he is just a young Dad. I am quite sure he realizes how quickly disaster can strike now. This was a horrible wakeup call though. These coyotes are even in Florida now in neighborhoods that have been there for decades. Overpopulation, new building and deforestry causing problems.
Seriously who would expect a coyote to attack a two-year-old during the day and try to drag it off like a little baby is some kind of rabbit.. perhaps the coyote neurotic or has rabies
Everyone is bashing the dad like they are some star athletes and would of jumped over the car to save the day lol! He responded as quick as he could like you would of in that situation. Thank God the child is okay
Cancel him as a Dad, he was assuming the gender of the coyote, he calls him daughter a girl, she might want to identify as a cat but he never asked, and lastly he hasn't met his quota of black friends, it's 2022 MY FEEEEEEEEEELINGS ARE HUUUUUUUUURT
The not bashing the dad they just saying he was in the other side of the car . You have to keep the child in your eye sight all the time anybody could walk up and took off with the child .
Happy the father saved that toddler but people have common sense they continue to build places where coyotes or other animals are around. We get mad at them but we keep invading the territories and they're hungry. Where are these animals suppose to go.
@@DaliaRose1990 You are so right but again we're invading their territory they're hungry they're looking for food it's like as humans if we didn't have food we'd go out there looking for something to eat.
When you build on land that animals have inhabited forever they are just supposed to disappear, like the homeless people no one wants around, lowering their property values.
Coyotes attack out of desperation. When they remain in an area that was originally their natural territory, they will remain and hunt but as time goes on, their natural food sources disappear. One is making these poor animals into the evil ones. With their territories shrinking, they are desperate. I live in an area where we have open spaces and in 20 years I have seen wildlife disappearing. We used to have prong horns. No more. The deer population had shrunk. Constant poisoning and/or removal of prairie dogs further shrunk their food sources. Same for owls and hawks. We are the vermin. I am one of many who took their habitats.
Thank you for explaining. I was wondering what provoked it to come and attack the kid. They usually don't attack unless threatened, but what you say makes a lot of sense.
Coyotes have always come around the areas inhabited by humans. They are not just predators. They are also scavengers. They smell food, they come around. They see livestock, or pets, (easy prey) they come around. It was like this back in the 1800's when we first built houses, and farms, in these valleys. It was like that when the Indians were here. Coyotes would come around their camps and villages.
I have seen wildlife disappearing also it's just sad. There's only a small pack out here now. I used to watch them in the early morning hours roam in our fileds. There just beautiful animals. Never once I felt hreatened when there close and yes they close withing 50ft. Sure my mom used to rush us in when you see the eyes but that was for safety and the door wasnt to far away when we watch the stars. Just the other day saw one across the road my dog was barking at it at first I didn't see it until I put him inside. Didn't give a damn about me just went back down the ditch.
Go back and really watch the timer. there's about 6 seconds of reporter slow motion reporting in between. That dad was on it it about 4 seconds from the other side of the car. Go look
Thank GOD the baby is ok, he bless it wasn't a big coyote and it run off with her, that's why we have to be careful when it comes to letting these babies out the vehicle and not pay attention to them, Thank GOD she is safe
@Daiana Xi thank you we must work together to avoid complete extinction od all wildlife if you think you are too small to make a difference try to sleep with a mosquito in your room
@@Brian-rj5rl true, but coyotes are opportunistic I doubt it was hungry enough to jump even a four foot fence. Also, the fence isn't to keep animals out, it's to keep the toddler away from the street where getting smashed destroys her life and the unsuspecting driver of the car who hits her.
;...and someone called this guy a "Hero". Christ almighty. It seems like everyone is labeled a hero nowadays. What does that make the guys that charged Normandy Beach? This guy did what EVERY SINGLE Fathers would have done. Period. There isn't a single man that would do what this guy did. So stop it already with all this Hero crap. What next? A Disney movie about him?
This has become a problem with all the new building. Every space that was open before has more and more homes being built. It wasn't a problem until they moved people into their hunting grounds. Where are the animals to go with all the new homes and businesses sprouting up and taking tremendous amounts of acreage that was once theirs? We used to go on scenic drives for fun and now all we see are amazon buildings, warehouses, and new homes.
Even then with the kid so close, it would be a second or third option to shoot it. It would be better to just go up and kick the coyote hard in the torso or just use both hands and grab it around the neck. Even an out of shape man can easily strangle a coyote with both hands. Shooting is all fine but with the kid that close there are other safer options.
Yeah. Ok. A wild aggressive coyote is just going to sit there conveniently for you ,macho man, and allow you to strangle it. You’d probably end up getting your hand bitten off. Then the beast would run off of with your kid.
Easier said than done. Until you've had a two year old, you have no idea how literally impossible your standard is to keep. Speaking as a grandfather of four at this point.
The toddler should not be allowed to leave the car by herself, she is so small girl. The busy street is right foot away... If father bother himself get the child off the car in his arms, chayote will not have so easy "access" to pitty child...sweet little girl...

He doesn't know where is his child for a long period of time untill child cries...the victim is only the pity child who has such Careless father....the chayote is much more attentive than so called father...may be this way of being a parent is familiar with you that's why you are l.icking father's a**hole...bon appetit..
A parents job is to protect their children, especially if they’re very young. She should have still been strapped in her car seat with the door closed, until he comes around the car to take her out and into the house. Protect your children AT ALL COSTS! Hands on them until they are totally out of harm’s way!
True. According to the reporter, the chayote knocked the toddler down . Did it bite the toddler? The baby is not food. She said it her favorite animal ... No way.
Why in god's earth would the father have a toddler near a road unattended? He was on the complete opposite side of the car. He didn't even know his child was in danger till she was already attacked and bitten not once but twice. This poor child will be traumatized for years and have nightmares. She should have NEVER been left unattended PERIOD! As a parent this is infuriating.
Maybe he was getting out and the child was in the car but he didn't realize she got out. You can't jump to conclusions and assume he put her there, you weren't there and don't know what happened you just saw a clip, you don't know if he opened the door before on her side of the car to reach for something and go around or if he told her to stay in the car and she got out so pls stfu with that non sense
Jesus, this is what you took away from this!!! You've never turned your back for two secs to maybe get groceries out of your car? The problem is the coyote! It's not a friendly pet,it's an opportunist hunter and kills to survive! They should be trapped and exterminated! High and mighty probably don't even have kids.
So if you killed the coyote you will go to jail but most states, if you feel threatened for your life, you can kill human beings but will probably go to jail if you and your child feel threatened. What’s wrong with this freakin world
No, Dad just became her hero that rescued her from the big bad wolf. Her wounds will heal and she'll forget all about this ordeal by the time Xmas comes and goes.

Where I live Wildlife is everywhere especially Deers and Raccoons. My former employer has a site named "Deer Park" because of all the Deers that live in the area. Every morning when we leave around 5:30am the parking lot is full of Deers. I'll be driving and Deers will bound across the road, usually in pairs so if you see one, you wait to see if another is behind it. Raccoons are in our dumpsters at night, snakes have been found in apartments. Turtles crossing the road and frogs, Humans took the animals home. Their roaming is what they do, a solution to get the animals a better place to live is what needed, not Euthanizing the animal.
I completely agree with Desiree. Happy the girl is okay. Wildlife keeps getting land taken away from them. Hope they figure out a solution that's beneficial for both the residents and coyotes.
@@danchristopher7957 you are absolutely right. Without coyote population control, you will be over-ran with coyotes very quick. Not sure how many pups are in a litter, but it won't take long to be out of control.
My dog and i get trailed quite a bit by a pair of coyotes if were out after hours. Theres a small patch of woods nearby where they hang out. Theyve never gotten close though. A few big dogs in a neighborhood will do alot for keeping certain animals/pests in check, coyotes, raccoons, etc. They eventually just avoid the area. Thats pretty aggressive behavior to try and snatch a kid though. Im surprised dad didnt hear it trotting up.
You're surprised it wasn't heard? They're pretty good at surprises...They don't stomp when they come at you. They weigh next to nothing. Because they're not as big as wolves. You don't usually hear them unless it's too late...but you'll feel them. Lol Also the dad was too slow and stupid for leaving her by herself. It's HIS fault, not the Coyote's.
I dunno. Im surrounded by coyotes, gators, various snakes, hawks, etc, and we all get along great. Im certainly not mad at this critter for being hungry. But it is unusual for a coyote to approach humans in broad daylight and snatch one up. Dad here has absolutely no sense of awareness and needs his dad card revoked for a bit. I do recall a similar situation a few months ago at a beach with a coyote/toddler. It took waaay too long for the parents to even notice what was happening. That i just dont get. And yeah it’s unfortunate what happens to animals during progress, but it certainly happens to people too. People scream for utopia but forget it has to be built.
This is why bleeding hearts of caused a real problem, especially idiot to feed the animals including raccoons in the idiots like the ones on TikTok, etc.
You'd be surprised what animals can recognize. Maybe they don't understand it the way we do, but I think you'll find a lot of animals at the very least don't like the sound one can make.
He should have put his child in the car first. 🤦🏻♀️ That was very irresponsible of the father, she could’ve also been hit by a car or taken by someone while he’s fiddling with the backseat.
If only there was some sort of tool, that could be used to stop and eliminate predators from short distances. It could even be portable and fit in some sort of quick access case on your belt. Hey we could call it a pistol and holster!
EXCELLENT AND VERY REASONABLE SOLUTION. OR...K-9 MACE. OR A WILDLIFE DIRECTOR WHO ISN'T CHOOSING HER SELF-DECLARED love for her favorite species...coyotes, not baby girls or others' precious pets...as an obstacle to using her brain in taking care of the problem...DEADLY SEASONED PREDATORS breeding practically in our yards!!!!!
Glad the baby was safe but for people to get upset at the animal when we have literally taken over all the lands around here and then get mad because animals come out where they used to live
There are people blaming the dad for the attack. They were in their driveway to their home, they probably unloaded the car many times without incident. There are people saying the dad was too slow to respond to the attack. Really??? There was a reporting comment and slow motion replay in about an 11 second timeframe, attack, reporting/slow motion replay, dad stops the attack. Go back and watch it carefully, dad was about 3 or 4 seconds from the other side of the car from the time of kid scream, that's not slow for all you would be Olympians. The people go in about how we encroached on the coyotes territory. Well maybe, but if you look at the design of the homes, maybe 50 or so years ago. Coyotes are similar to dogs in gestation.. they can easily have 2 litters a year, and possibly 3. multiply that by 8 or 10 pups in a litter, maybe half females. if one female can produce up to 20 ups a year, if half of 2 litters are 10 that's an additional 200 pups a year, plus possibly another 20 from the original mother. Try and figure out the exponential rate for about 50 years of breeding, just from one pair of healthy coyotes, and their timeline, that's about 10,000 pups in 50 years. Say you have 1000 mating pairs in the state? 10 million The only way to prevent this from happening, is to hunt them and keep their numbers in check, but the people in California don't want you to hunt anything, and let mother nature go wild. but just like their piss poor forest maintenance, they're not thinking clearly.
They lived there way before you all did. You can't build a house in the middle of coyotes and others wild animal land and expect not to be bothered by them. That's insane 😳

She called it a dog... yes, the species is canine, but so is a wolf. Calling this wild coyote a dog is like calling a mountain lion a cat. They are not on the same playing field as a family pet. I'm an animal lover, but I believe in hunting as a humane way of population control to preserve the species as a whole. Humans are the top predators now. Either we introduce more wolves, bears and mountain lions to the area ( bad idea) to naturally control the coyote population, or we start hunting them.
Finally! a sane, thinking and informed person. Just saw this youtube through our local NEXT DOOR. .A bunch of terrified people who came to live in the country, freaking out because there are coyotes around. And Dad..wake the F up!

100% agree. I feel guilty 😔. I walk the open spaces built for us and I think what have we done to the wild life. I see coyotes and a couple have followed. I am always alert. Last year, a coyote successfully brought down a yearling deer. I never heard an animal scream in terror for its life. Both ran past by me and my dog. The coyote won . We used to have prong horns. No more. When I drive to the airport, the wild animals are gone because of more and more housing. Bears are euthanized because people don't bother to bear proof. Never saw them this far down. They are hungry. The only thing I can do is donate to the wildlife center here in Colorado. They moved to a larger enclosure for all animals who can't be released. This is the least I can do. And don't get me started on the Prarie dogs! Used to poison them. Now they vacuum them up .
Mom's move at 10x speed when they hear their child make that sound. This dad just mozies over and casually assesses the situation before picking up the kid. Doesn't even comfort her... it was weird. Sad sad but we humans are also encroaching into these animals natural forest(homes) inform of development large tracks of virgin land is being cleared living them with nowhere to go
This attack was caused by people deliberately feeding coyotes and inaction by officials to respond appropriately. Wildlife Emergency Services was there, on scene, the following morning. We conducted our on investigation and found at least two people, living out of their cars, had been hand-feeding coyotes a block away - for months. The church, a stone’s throw away was also potentially culpable as they had hired a trapper to kill coyotes, which may have resulted in orphaned pups without pack leadership. More importantly, calls expressing concern were unanswered. For months, residents called on officials to help, but they did not respond, which allowed the problem-behavior to escalate. This could have been prevented. We are calling on LA City to adopt a humane and progressive response plan to ensure this does not happen again.
I'm so happy that the father was there to save his daughter. The hell if I built in on his territory. It wouldn't have made it out of my yard. In that situation.
You build houses where coyotes live and expect them to not be around…. If the coyote didn’t pop up then some stranger could drive up and snatch her. Hope she’s okay! Parents are oblivious though passing on blame. -___-
Unfortunately, not that we have much choice but we've brought this on ourselves. We keep expanding into what was first their territory. Maybe we should set aside a million acres somewhere that these displaced animals could be relocated to. Idk just a thought but we need to put some thought into the problem. We're taking their homes and feeding grounds and not leaving them with a lot of choices. That being said, I'm glad the little girl is fine.

No, people just need to watch their children closer and not leave them unattended like that stupid dad did...coyotes were here a long time before humans were.
By the looks of it the coyote would have attacked that little girl whether the dad was there or not, get real. They seem to be putting small children on the menu and that's a big problem.
I'm glad she's okay but seriously these people move into areas where there are coyotes and then they act surprised when they encounter coyotes. It's like the people that move into farmland for the "county life" and then get offended by the smell of cows and pigs on the neighboring farms.
Coyote's habitat is being taking away from them. With all the building of homes & businesses going on. I'm sure there not out to hurt intentionally. This is there instinct when their hungry. I hope the little girl is doing well.
First off the state is requiring cities to build more housing in already developed areas. Second the coyote population is exploding because they have very few predators and unlimited food and water in cities. Animal control suggest hazing to scare them off and not feeding them. I don't know anyone that feeds them and they are not afraid of anything!
Coyote wasn't scared either, he sat there for a while why the dude yelled
They are being born in the city and suburban areas here in Southern CA. They are not bothered by humans or our loud sounds from buses, sirens, or loud music. It's insane
The high shrill screaming prolonged the attack, which is what all species of victims do. HOWEVER, the dad's DEEP VOICE of AGGRESSION is what STOPPED it. STILL, the coyote was ready to ATTACK AGAIN if the resistance had waned. IF THIS CHILD DOESN'T
GET RABIES SHOTS, SHE CAN DIE. IF AUTHORITIES can't catch this animal, she'll
HAVE TO. IT'S OBVIOUSLY MORE of a SERIOUS AND DEADLY problem than just noting their presence as an annoyance. COMPLACENCY and denial of responsibility "like everybody else" is an easy and yet deadly place to go.
If there were 2 that attacked, the hunt would have been successful.

This has literally nothing to do with development. Coyotes live all over Los Angeles, even in neighborhoods that were built 100 years ago. They are incredibly resilient opportunistic predators and scavengers and would continue to thrive in urban areas even if you stopped every single building project in the country.

There’s one problem it’s an anomaly normally coyotes absolutely do not do that😊
I spoke with wildlife about that years ago and he said the only thing you can do is kill the entire population because they pass their learning on. You are so right but again we're invading their territory they're hungry they're looking for food it's like as humans if we didn't have food we'd go out there looking for something to eat.

They are not just predators. They are also scavengers. They smell food, they come around. They see livestock, or pets, (easy prey) they come around.

It was like that when the Indians were here. Coyotes would come around their camps and villages.

Even then with the kid so close, it would be a second or third option to shoot it. Shooting is all fine but with the kid that close there are other safer options.

That lady ,doesn't have to think about bringing that coyote down ; it taste human blood * why she thinks that coyote is a friendly animal ! Is mind boggling
Agree 👍 she looking for advance as to why the potential dog should be newanize ????? Craze, did he bite the baby
Glad the daughter is safe but if you live in a area with wildlife do your due diligence, be aware of your surroundings and always look out for your children or small pets...
Exactly
Predators habituated to people is more than a “due diligence” issue.
OMG, I think it was going to take her in the woods and eat her.
Ya think?
It wasn’t playing, these are not domestic dogs!!!
Got it in one. Note how at first it only stepped back a few feet when challenged and didn't run off immediately. It was still looking for an opening to drag her off and eat her.
Yeah, wild dogs don’t actually raise children.
Lmfao, champion of the obvious
Thanks God the little girl yelled...otherwise I don't think that her so called father will ever notice that something is going wrong...He had more important things to look after...
I thought he behaved cowardly. It seems to me he should have done more to chase the beast with something more than throwing a bottle . Weren't there rocks or something else around?
@@MrCJ-qz9dl So he's supposed to leave his hurt child alone while chases the coyote? Noooo. Quickly throwing anything handy to distract the coyote long enough for him to rescue his child was the right thing.
@@roseb3164 But he had already rescued his child after a long enough pause.
@@MrCJ-qz9dl Yes, he had pulled her from the coyote, but for complete rescue, he still needed to get the child inside to safety. That takes precedence over chasing the coyote and finding more and harder things (rocks) to throw at it. He sent it packing far enough that it didn't attack again; he didn't need to further engage with it.
@@roseb3164 But the coyote looked as if he wasn't going anywhere at first. Believe me; it will return with an even greater hunger. When you are defending a loved one you do whatever it takes.
Yes the coyote attacked an unsupervised toddler. Sad. She also could've walked into the street too. Watch your children!
EXACTLY 💯
Well it's horrible that they're attacking humans but it's even more horrible that we just keep taking more and more of their homes and putting ours on top of it and destroying everything that's been there was theirs and will always be there first
Bet you weren't thinking that way when you bought your house.
Coyotes 1, humans 0.
Bruh
What about your house? Maybe go live in a tree. Oh wait!! Then you will be scaring away the birds. If we lived by your logic, then we wouldn't have homes
This is MANS fault NOT the coyote. The area is called Woodland Hills. It happened because man went in and destroyed the coyotes home to build places for MAN to live. What did you think was going to happen? You destory all this woodland... Where are the animals supposed to go?
He's so lucky that there wasn't a pack and that it was hunting alone.
Us Texans don't seem to suffer from this very often but the men here have testosterone and 1911s
just looked up "coyote attacks in texas" and it turns out you're full of shit XD big surprise there lmao
LMAO
They still eat steak...almost everyone in California is vegan. 😂 So their muscles aren't as dense as the Texas men. Lol
Texans are the weaker version of northern midwesterners, but I can't disagree.
Testosterone and 1911's huh, more like just a bunch of cowards to me
That is not odd behavior. Feed them or not coyotes are wild animals, they are not domestic. Carry a weapon.
This is happening in more urban areas too, not just in Woodland Hills and similar places. Best take care of your little ones, because our "leaders" can't be bothered to do anything more than put up signs.
Should we kill off certain animals by certain political party states?
Ludicrous blaming this on Democrats when you have wild bores, grizzlies, wolves, snakes, alligators all roaming around attacking children in Republicon states. Hmm how about those shark attacks near Florida Beaches. You ever get out in the ocean and hunt them down? What good all those AR-15s y'all have? Only used for caged up school kids?
Fox channels filled with maga tears are the only channels where they try to eliminate opposing comments with false TH-cam reports of breaking the rules... What goes around, comes around.
@@Trump.Musk.Will.Destroy.U.S Huh. You assume I am a frothing Republican. You do understand that Democrats or non-Republicans can be critical, even VERY critical, of Democrats, yes? Unlike you, I actually live here in California in a city where I have personally seen coyotes following kids as they walk home from school (yes, they are looking to pick off a straggler; it's what they do). We are not allowed to do anything other than call the police... *unless somebody is IN the coyote's mouth.* Then you can be "heroic." It's okay to hold accountable your party when it pushes laws/policies that *enable* these attacks to happen. Do so in your own state, as you say everyone should.
Well... The Coyotes need to know... They won't get fed... That's why they are going to put Up Signs... SO... THEY KNOW THAT THEY WILL NOT GET FEED...

Little concealed carry action would take care of their coyote problem.
It's not a coyote problem, it's that humans keep on movie more and more to their home
Well if we stopped taking their homes away by cutting trees down I'm sure they would leave us alone I'm praying for the little girl I hope she makes a full recovery
I highly doubt that's the problem. Probably left too many trees up. They would leave if it was less hospitable.
@@aaronadamson7463 well let them take ur home n then maybe u would realize without trees n woods there is really not much place for them to go but in neighborhoods like this so go talk junk to someone else
More like: 'Coyote knocks tiny midget over from sheer curiosity only to get screamed at and runs away' Thank goodness the news is here to sensationalize everything.
That’s what happen when city officials and developers don’t have any consideration for what happen to the wildlife when you built and built without any thought on these beautiful creatures who are being extinct because of the human race no place for them to call home or hunt cause the forest and way of life is rapidly being taken away
Even the coyotes are crazy in California
Thank goodness the child ok. Toddlers should never be out of arms reach outside the home.
After that happened to my kid I'm hunting for coyote
Mom's move at 10x speed when they hear their child make that sound. This dad just mozies over and casually assesses the situation before picking up the kid. Doesn't even comfort her... it was weird. Mom would have had the kid scooped up, cradled, and the Coyote booted into the next century all in one swift motion.
I just got done visiting LA from Portland Oregon and everybody talks crap on Portland being terrible.
I got to tell you Southern California now is a third world country. Things that go on there that shouldn't happen, and it's all due to the citizens laziness and inability to vote good people in the office.
Maybe Bob and Alley should get together with neighbors and set some traps?? Oh no, it's the city's problem. 😵💫😂
2022, Did she just said, "she had to look for the evidence!" The evidence is the coyote attacked the child. The coyote would have taken that little girl to its pack. Hello!
This is because of hippies and vegans. The time has come, open season
My dog got attacked this year. Right outside my front door. He survived. But he was lucky. 30 second fight pinned down. He was able to survive until I got to him. The coyote was huge. Bigger than a German shepherd
The largest coyote apparently ever recorded was about 75 pounds. In all likelihood the coyote you saw was not bigger than an average German shepherd.
Cap (bigger than a German Shepherd) 🤣

Coyotes have gotten bold. I’ve seen them at 10 o’clock in the in the morning, which is unheard of in broad daylight in the open

The animal conservationist was more concerned about the coyote than the baby
Me too! Stop making more people, period. We're stealing non-human animals' homes and destroying their way of life. The kid isn't gonna be murdered by the authorities, the poor coyote will.
Dad come on!!!! Move with some purpose and urgency. Weak response
Sad sad but we humans are also encroaching into these animals natural forest(homes) inform of development large tracks of virgin land is being cleared living them with nowhere to go
EXACTLY, i dont know why everyone is so shocked and mad that a coyote is being just that. its humans fault at the end of the day
This attack was caused by people deliberately feeding coyotes and inaction by officials to respond appropriately.
He acted as fast as he could though so I give him that forsure BUT why would you leave your 2 year old unattended on the sidewalk.
If the coyote didn’t pop up then some stranger could drive up and snatch her.
Hope she’s okay!
Parents are oblivious though passing on blame. -___-
Poor baby hope she's doing good
Wtf do u expect humans are invading their territory..
I completely agree with you. They make it seem they're coming out of nowhere. Saddens me that these animals get displaced but I'm glad the little girl made it out safe.
I watched this woman in an interview. She was smiling and chuckling the whole time she was talking about this. I will never understand people who can smile while talking about something horrible, especially when it's their own loved one. Weird.
Looks like Somebody needs to do a cleansing in their area. It's scary to think that the coyote would have definitely killed the little girl and eaten her.(ps) they are not your typical little pooches they are wild vicious animals.
No, people just need to watch their children closer and not leave them unattended like that stupid dad did...coyotes were here a long time before humans were.
By the looks of it the coyote would have attacked that little girl whether the dad was there or not, get real. They seem to be putting small children on the menu and that's a big problem.
Open season on coyotes in that neighborhood
So stop feeding Toddlers to theCoyotes 😮
😂
Need you to feed them instead
If there is that many around, they need to have an open hunt on them to get them under control.
What do you expect when we keep taking their homes away from them. I'm glad she's ok!
They have homes? Give me the addresses, I need to speak to them!
Exactly!!
Well... They are hungry and you are in their territory. Have them trapped and relocated.
I'm glad she's okay but seriously these people move into areas where there are coyotes and then they act surprised when they encounter coyotes. It's like the people that move into farmland for the "county life" and then get offended by the smell of cows and pigs on the neighboring farms.
That Dad took way too much time to react, he needs to work on situational awareness and just being a man in general
Nothing a Good Hunting party can’t take care of!
