I have a brand new x160 with a 48V battery and after reviewing your other video where you put a 60V battery in it, I went out and bought a brand new Segway x260 battery for my x160. I've running it for about a 2 weeks it's been running great. I get a lot more range and speed increased by about 7 mph. I have the stock 58 tooth sprocket it came with. Keep those videos coming.
@@proxyhx2075 I just upgraded to 58 tooth on my x260 and I like it a lot more than the 48 tooth, wheelies are alot easier, considerably faster acceleration on tight single track and hill climbing is a big increase
@@jkendrick63 In many cases, nobody would use a bigger tooth sprocket higher than 54t. That's the perfect balance between torque and top end speed for a stock LB-X or X260. Any higher and it might cause even more stress on the stock controller than a lower tooth sprocket which is usually the opposite. You'll take a significant hit on top end speed as well.
Very interesting. Do you have any way to measure the motor phase inductance and DC resistance Phase to phase on the X160? I have published a video on the 260 measured specs but having info on the X160 would be great too!

Lastly, I've got a suggestion regarding a "shunt" style mod. Could it be possible to dig the inductive current sensors out of the controller and replace them with others that supply half the signal readings. Or maybe even jump around the outside of the inductive sensors with a length of 10 or 8 gauge wire? I've jumped around the outside of the sensors on my Sabvoton 72150 and it gave me a huge power jump. Some of us ebike junkies need to see more videos of the "tear it apart to mod" rather than the standard "bac bolt on" stuff. Again, thanks!
Can you tell if the x160 and x260 controllers / tune are the same? It seems like the performance difference of the x160 @ 60v that you showed in the last video could be a result of the motor differences alone.

Or this could even be just a rare occurrence. I wish we could get clarification on this and how to know which comes with what for sure before buying.

how did the X motor break? don't the magnets need a high RPM to break? when you have extra power you can lower the gearing if you want more top speed without anything
I knew they would be different! Why would they waste materials on a cheaper model if they didn’t have too? I think the wire gauge would be a good indicator on what motor you have, maybe the older ones came with 260/X motors and the newer ones have a cheaper motor as production boosted and why not save in costs where you can? Less power less materials needed in this case! Hope no one got stung buying a new 160 wanting a big power up grade🥲

But with the boom in Surron sales, production might have expanded allowing them to create a slightly smaller version of the Surron motor for the light bee S and x160?

I’ve been running 15kW 600PA @ 60v in my X160 & a customer 15kW 600PA @ 72v for a few months now without any issues. There’s a noticeable power difference (Torque Mostly) compared to its bigger counterparts. If I blow the X160 motor I got a spare (;
@bigtitmaster there is one on the wire harness on the controller end not the battery end like a surron, however with the x160 controller cutting it does nothing, if you had a surron or x260 controller cutting it would do somthing

I have a upgraded x160. I run a bac8k @ 14kw for close to a year. No problems whatsoever
@@gritshift it’s not about the power itself. The issues are either overheating (prolonged high amps) or extreme RPM.

I ran my x160 at 72v 100 amps for 3 months straight. It burned out at 120amps for me
that's really weak. stock surron X runs at almost 100 amps

I had it happen to me, if you got the battery used check the voltage I got scammed for a bad battery and it ended up being that
