@@melindamurray295 i had a blast! The food is okay. However, i don't like that you have to go to the restaurant you want to eat at and stand in line at 6:30pm to get seated. It's first come first serve. Once the 6:30 seats are full they start giving out buzzer for the 8:30pm. Other than that you will end up eating at the buffet. Food still not bad honestly. One other issue is. We stayed in tje junior suite with ocean view. That is in the villas. They don't tell you there is no elevators! It's 3 floors and we were on the 3rd floor which they consider to be their 2nd floor. The app is going to be your friend because they don't have any signs telling you where anything is at. We didn't figure out where the rumba classes were until the day we were leaving! We just kept walking next door to the family side. They are lit over there! Getting your towels early and putting them on one of those huts they have out there is a must! You need to get it and go put it out there otherwise you won't have a shade seat. You can walk the strip it is less than 5 mins. They call it south beach. Very cool... directly across the street there is a windmill that lights up. They party over there at night. Besides the hiccups i mentioned. I loved my trip and will come back again. I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip! I also have a youtube Channel. This video will be up shortly. Pls swing by and check me out. Ohhhhhhh i almost forgot. Leaving the island is a nightmare! Give yourself more than 3 hrs to get there. You go thru us customs now in aruba which is awesome so you won't have to when you get back. Unfortunately, it's still very new to them so the lines are extremely long. We got there 3 hrs early and it took that long to get us thru it all. I have global entry but there are no signs telling you where to go. I didn't know until after i got up to the custom dude. Lol

Hmmmm, do you prefer Riu Palace Antillas or Riu Palace?? Antillas room looks more modern. I'm planning vacay for my father who's turning 65 soon, so trying to narrow down something relaxing but still fun.
The Riu Antillas was recently renovated. We prefer the Antillas adults only.. if you want really relaxing and a little more quiet you can always book the villa suites but I don’t believe they have double bed rooms. We also find the food a little better at the Antillas and you don’t have to deal with children splashing in the pool.. you can also check out some of the Divi all inclusive resorts on Aruba, they maybe a little more quiet but they are not on Palm Beach. If you are specifically looking for an all inclusive resort on Palm beach for your father, I believe the Antillas would be our choice.

I believe the price for a day pass to the Riu Antillas is about $135 usd.. which includes all drinks, and the buffet restaurants but not the specialty restaurants… I believe you can also go over to the Riu Palace as well, but you should check with the resort.. you may have to book the day passes before you get to the resort.. you can take a cab to the resort, I don’t know the price of the taxi ride. There are so many activities around the Palm Beach area. We have some other Aruba videos that show the beach activities centre and what is available.I did not see Basketball courts but there is a pool table located at the Rui Place next door.. @@PerpatowithNV never saw tennis courts but there is so much to do tennis can wait Different pools you have access to both hotels with adults only band on food is fantastic rooms are great have to have them put gin and tonic in room bar was there 2018 had so much fun going back to learn more disco is upstairs we didn't find out till last night we were there but night life is good too go galivanting across the street
Hello, there is lots of free parking at most of the hotels along Palm beach at the hotels. The only place you may have a hard time finding parking is in the evening along the strip of restaurants and bars.. but parking is available behind the plaza that has the Salt and Pepper restaurant. This video convinced me that this is the place for me! Never been to Aruba but going in August- was up in the air on where to stay. Do they offer transportation from the airport? Don’t like to dress up to eat- would the buffet be good for a 4 night stay? Also what’s the tipping policy? Like to be prepared and don’t want to offend if not allowed.
Wonderful to hear you are going to Aruba!!!! You will have to get a taxi from the airport but it is only around $30 . The buffet is great for all nights, we do have a video showing all the food at true Antillas as well… you may tip , and it is encouraged… the service is wonderful if you tip or not. We would love to make an updated video on the Riu Antillas and Riu Palace in Aruba. But on our recent visit we wanted to stay at the Embassy suites by Hilton and made a video on that resort… from what we have seen at the Riu Antillas, not much has changed since we made this video.. thank you for watching!
You get all good at the buffets and specialty restaurants, all the alcoholic and regular drinks you want.. they also have a fridge in your room that they stick with water and soda daily, plus alcohol in your room as well.. for me it really is the best way to vacation as you don’t have to worry about paying for anything else while you are there.. thank you for watching and make sure to check out my other videos… they will give you more information..
Nice video. Regarding the construction. Was it noise also when you were there? I'm asking because we're travelling begin of May and have now concerns that it's annoying by noise and dust from the construction workers, in particular buidling site is growing over the time.
We did not have any issues with noise or dust…we heard some hammering when at the pool during the day but the music does well at masking it… we did not find it a bother at all and we really did not notice the construction… thank you for watching
Yes we did push the beds together but they do have king size beds as well in the other room categories… either way the hotel is amazing and so was the view.. thanks for watching!!

We have stayed at the palace as well.. but we like the fact that the Antillas is adults only so you don’t have to worry about having kids around… and the best thing is you can use both hotels.. including the pools, bars and restaurants..the rooms at the Antillas are all fully renovated and they are working on the Reims at the palace… you will have a great time.. please comment back after your trip and let me know what you thought…

Q: the lounge chairs are "free" but I heard they're first come, first serve, and that people race to claim one as early as 5-6am. Is this true?
We always found a beach chair but yes I have heard that some people do reserve them early in the morning

We heard the banging from the construction next door during the day but with the music playing at the pool it did not bother us at all…

I've stayed at the Palace once and the Antillas 3 times. You have access to both but the adult-only feature of the Antillas makes it much better.

You can not smoke inside but you can smoke outside
Is this a Junior Suite?
Yes, I believe they call it a ocean front junior suite.. But some travel companies call it by other names... It can get very confusing..
