C- I love how you call Mazoku Yusuke the OG vasto lordes, because as a huge fan of both series, if we be real, vasto lordes vs ulquiorra is literally just remixed Mazoku Yusuke vs Golden Sensui
If it makes you feel better chuck genkai has an entirely different view on what luck is than anyone else in the series. She states most of it is your spiritual awareness and the rest is your willingness to take action and having a good heart. The author even goes out of his way to show it again in the second to last chapter when yusuke picks the blue button thinking of keiko. Yusuke makes his own luck the entire series and genkai actively rigs the lottery in phase 1 of her trails.
I find luck to be a redeeming quality, like the protagonist of rokka no yuusha said, the greatest man isn't merely the strongest one, but also the one with the greatest luck.

Yusuke is definitely a top tier shounen protagonist and one of the greatest anime protagonists of all time. He is clearly timeless and such a brilliant character overall. Yu Yu Hakusho is also one of the greatest anime of all time and does justice to every genre and element it has.

I mean HxH is the spiritual successor to Yuyu Hakusho... there's really nothing left for Yusuke to do other than live a normal life.... thats the whole point of him losing the final fight... If he would've won he would've had to stay and rule over demon world and then he wouldn't have gotten to be with Keiko... basically they just lived happily ever after, the end.

The fact that all of the strongest combatants went all out in round 1 so they all got eliminated in the second round is actually really good story telling 😂

It mainly came down to him wanting to end it at Chapter Black but Shonen wouldn’t let him or something so he tanked the last 10 chapters so Shonen Jump would drop him from the magazine. Health issues, he said he was getting about 5 hours of sleep at night and started to worry he could legitimately die at the pace he was working at stating he’d rather do manga for fun and how he wants to in his image, it’s why he fully owns the HxH IP. And he felt he took the characters in every direction he could and wanted to deconstruct them but his editors wouldn’t allow it. A good example of what we could’ve gotten is something similar to Gon in the Chimera Ant Arc where his entire character and faults are put on full display. Fortunately the anime adds a decent chunk of technically filler when finishing the series. For example Yusuke vs Yomi is just stated to be 60 hours in the manga and that’s it, no fight whatsoever. Sorry for the rant but the circumstances regarding the final arc is just kinda sad for Togashi and fans. Sure there’s always that small margin % of hope Togashi would add the smallest bit of YuYu Hakusho content like a one shot chapter, but I also believe he stated in his letter he’d rather just shut the door on YuYu Hakusho due to his bad memories when working on it.
I would love to see a writer fix what happened to kuwabara so that he properly end up doing crazy shit like summoning black holes and cutting people from anywhere with dimensional powers while being refined.
I thought Yusuke’s friendship power ups were valid simply because Genkai says he keeps a 10 inch thick wall of bullshit inbetween him and his actual emotions in case shit doesn’t work out which is why she tells to commit to something ALL THE WAY and he chose his friends, this is all shown in the dark tournament arc
So glad to see some YYH love. Everyone talks up HxH but I genuinely think that both of Togashi's works are deserving of love. My favorite character is Hiei but I think that a more interesting video would be Kuwabara. His spiritual awareness and his role in the Chapter Black arc would honestly make for very good TH-cam Content.

I’m 22 and when I tell people yusuke is my favorite character of all time they get so surprised , I love everything about Yu-Yu , I watched it for the first time when I was 21 and it was like finding a part of my childhood I never had

Exactly. The dub and the anime did so much damage to him. Most of Kuwabara's fights sucked so much and he was screwed over so hard that people don't realize that his "weakness" is mainly the facts that he was never trained properly. He would have been so good if he used his time properly training under Genkai during the three kings with a writer that's willing to not do this character dirty.
@steve McLovin I don't think the dub did anything to distort what was displayed of him originally in the sub. Most of his battles show him being more of a brawler and is usually only successful after being creative with his powers. Btw the sub is fucking terrible compared to the dub, like objectively it is vastly inferior. YYH wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable if it weren't for the dub.

Yusuke had reached an incredible strength level by the end of the series ( upper S class ranking), he had an interesting personality and had impressive fights throughout the whole series. YYH is a top tier quality anime show and the 4 main cast members have incredible personal abilities & this show deserves more attention/ public recognition.

My second favorite anime of all time. It freaking Rocks! Dark tournament is one of the best arcs of any anime ever. Yuske, Kuibara, Heia and Kurama are all so bad ass.

FINALLY I love Yu-Yu-Hakusho so much, it's my second favourite anime series and used to be my most favourite for my entire life. I'm so happy and glad that you made a very long video on him, there's seriously not enough videos on how powerful the characters are and this is probably going to be the best one.

Yusuke is amazing protagonist he was the first protagonist I had ever liked! in terms of destructivity. During the Chapter Black Arc: Yusuke fires a spirit towards Sensui a second time he blew up the entire mountain. The amount of spirit energy and demon energy he had recovered is INSANE. According the Genkai, she wasn’t lying when Yusuke could destroy the planet. His battle with Yomi he battled him for over 48 overs NON stop in the manga. Yusuke’s overall stamina is ridiculous. I would love to see Kuwabara.
I'd like a Younger Toguro breakdown, before and after his transformation, to see how strong becoming a demon made him. You could then see what would happen if Kuwabara or Sensui got it. Would be pretty cool.
I grew up with anime in the 1990s and round early 2000. I still watch anime. Those were the legendary days back then. Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Ronin Warriors, Tenchi Muyo, Gundam Wing 00 and G Gundam, Pokemon, Digimon, etc. It's not the same anymore. As for power levels in anime, I always said Yu Yu Hakusho characters were right below Dragon Ball characters. Any one of them will solo all of the Narutard/Naruto characters by themselves. But who couldn't? hahaha
@@gammafrost Its been well over a decade so don't quote me but i distinctly remember him being considered comparable to a higher ranking s class demons at the end of the series in the manga or perhaps an interview (one or the other) and he is officially the strongest living human being on earth, MILES above anyone else and beyond what even sensui accomplished. So while he's not yusuke tier, he's way up there and would probably even place reasonably well in the demon world tournament before losing to the top of the top.

Im thinking Genkai meant that Yusuke could destroy every living thing and country on the face of the planet... not actually destroying the planet itself

I love yu Yu Hakusho. You gotta make videos on all their demon forms too and a bunch of the villains like team toguro . Honestly team toguro was such an intimidating team of villains they are some of the best in my opinion.
My only experience with Yu Yu Hakusho is when I was flipping through channels as a wee lad and came across it on Toonami. All I remember is that they were fighting some guy under the restriction that you couldn't say "hot" and after a while Kuwabara loses after saying "together."

About time someone put some respect on Yusuke's name! Prolly my fave shounen protag, his journey felt real and the progression was smooth, even if the personal stakes never really got near anything existential or complex.
22:18 It was implied that Sensui could have been sealed, but thats what he used Gamemaster as a pawn for. He knew Koenma would be too good a person to pass by Gamemaster and not revive him. So he planned for him to do that so the Mafuukan would be just weak enough for Sensui to break. Even in the anime they say that was Sensui's plan to weaken the Mafuukan.
Yes, Sensui stated before he died the only thing stopping his plan was the Mafuukan and the only thing he was afraid of Hence he set up Gamemasters death, knowing Koenma wouldn’t pass up his death due to being Koenma’s fault everything is happening. Sensui used Koenma’s guilt

Compare his fight with rinku in the original Manga, that whole stupid shit with him arguing with a unconscious yusuke didn't happen, he simply lost because he didn't get up in time. I prefer the manga Because the anime doesn't know when to stop.

Yusuke had reached an incredible strength level by the end of the series ( upper S class ranking), he had an interesting personality and had impressive fights throughout the whole series. YYH is a top tier quality anime show and the 4 main cast members have incredible personal abilities & this show deserves more attention/ public recognition.

My second favorite anime of all time. It freaking Rocks! Dark tournament is one of the best arcs of any anime ever. Yuske, Kuibara, Heia and Kurama are all so bad ass.

I'd definitely like more of this, I'd say do Kuwabara next, as he's another seemingly-ordinary human who ascended to demonic levels of power, and of course the OG rival/friend character.
FINALLY I love Yu-Yu-Hakusho so much, it's my second favourite anime series and used to be my most favourite for my entire life. I'm so happy and glad that you made a very long video on him, there's seriously not enough videos on how powerful the characters are and this is probably going to be the best one.

Yusuke is amazing protagonist he was the first protagonist I had ever liked! in terms of destructivity. During the Chapter Black Arc: Yusuke fires a spirit towards Sensui a second time he blew up the entire mountain. The amount of spirit energy and demon energy he had recovered is INSANE.
According the Genkai, she wasn’t lying when Yusuke could destroy the planet. His battle with Yomi he battled him for over 48 overs NON stop in the manga. Yusuke’s overall stamina is ridiculous.
I would love to see Kuwabara.
Yu Yu Hakusho was one of the 4 shows that got me into anime. Still a top favorite to this day over 20 years later.

I grew up with anime in the 1990s and round early 2000. I still watch anime. Those were the legendary days back then. Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Ronin Warriors, Tenchi Muyo, Gundam Wing 00 and G Gundam, Pokemon, Digimon, etc. It's not the same anymore. As for power levels in anime, I always said Yu Yu Hakusho characters were right below Dragon Ball characters. Any one of them will solo all of the Narutard/Naruto characters by themselves. But who couldn't? hahaha

@@gammafrost Its been well over a decade so don't quote me but i distinctly remember him being considered comparable to a higher ranking s class demons at the end of the series in the manga or perhaps an interview (one or the other) and he is officially the strongest living human being on earth, MILES above anyone else and beyond what even sensui accomplished.
So while he's not yusuke tier, he's way up there and would probably even place reasonably well in the demon world tournament before losing to the top of the top.

I would like our boi Kuwabara to get some respect next. I personally believe that his Spirit Sword was strong enough to kill Sensui. I remember Sensui always dodged Kuwabara's attacks, but decided to tank the others.

My only experience with Yu Yu Hakusho is when I was flipping through channels as a wee lad and came across it on Toonami. All I remember is that they were fighting some guy under the restriction that you couldn't say "hot" and after a while Kuwabara loses after saying "together."

About time someone put some respect on Yusuke's name! Prolly my fave shounen protag, his journey felt real and the progression was smooth, even if the personal stakes never really got near anything existential or complex.
22:18 It was implied that Sensui could have been sealed, but thats what he used Gamemaster as a pawn for. He knew Koenma would be too good a person to pass by Gamemaster and not revive him.
So he planned for him to do that so the Mafuukan would be just weak enough for Sensui to break. Even in the anime they say that was Sensui's plan to weaken the Mafuukan.
Yes, Sensui stated before he died the only thing stopping his plan was the Mafuukan and the only thing he was afraid of
Hence he set up Gamemasters death, knowing Koenma wouldn’t pass up his death due to being Koenma’s fault everything is happening. Sensui used Koenma’s guilt
