  • Our crew took a trek down to Anza Borrego state park to explore the abandoned rail line that leads to the Goat Canyon Trestle. This is the largest wooden train bridge in North America and was built in 1933. The rail line its self starts in San Diego and goes down to Baja Mexico and then back into the US to Arizona. This was originally completed in 1919 and was last used in 2008. It was called the "Impossible Railroad" due to the extremely difficult terrain it was built on.
Join us and my 1987 Land Cruiser FJ60 for the adventure!

Great spot. We'll have to check it out when we're down there next.

Check with the ABD State Park - think this road was closed a few years ago.

Dude, this is sick. I think I'm gonna do this with my friend soon.
    I have a high clearance '97 4runner, but it's 2WD. Should I be worried about the off-roading portion?

Definitely recommend 4x4 especially for getting back out.

Just wondering where the campsite was at? Looking to do it with my family.

Officially, it's not a campsite, but we camped there. It requires hi clearance 4x4 to get to (or hiking). It's along side the tracks about 2 miles NW from The RR Water Tower at Dos Cabezas.

Thought the road was closed by ABDSP?
