My sister had triplets and had massive troubles getting good sleep. I remember her talking about needing to sleep on her left side also. My heart goes out to each who's struggled to sleep while pregnant.
So I’m 6 weeks pregnant and slept on my bak bekause I looked up that I kould kause it still first trimester but now I’m konfused bekause my right side was in pain when I woke up like twixe ? I’m super skared that I kan suffokate him I don’t wanna hurt my son please kan someone answer this quik please I’m freaking out krying kause idkkkk if I been hurting him I don’t want a still birth nor do I want him dying hella early this is my first time being pregnant.
You so lucky to have had the pregnancy pillow my sides are sore and I keep waking up due to that but unfortunately I can't afford the pillow. Best of luck for all those pregnant ladies. I'm now 38 weeks pregnant
20 weeks mark for me yesterday and have been sleeping on my LEFT side, but the last 3 days I been uncomfortable and have mild pain laying on my left. Laying on my left now I wake up numb which never happened in my early pregnancy. My right side is now the best option for me I get more comfortable but I try to just endure being uncomfortable and pain just to lay on my left make it comfortable for my baby. Earlier on my pregnancy my husband bought me a pregnancy pillow and it is sooooo comfortable.! Helps ease the pain for me. By the way exercise helps me sleep good.
i dont know anymore. it is 5am and im still searching for tips on how to sleep fast during pregnancy. nothing works for me now that im on my third trimester
Girl, same 😭 it’s currently 3:30am where I live and I’m trying to find the best/easiest way to sleep but sleeping on my side is just so uncomfortable and I just cannot sleep on my back 🤦🏼♀️ I’m a stomach sleeper but obviously can’t sleep like that lol ugh 😩
Waking up every hour, my left side is screaming "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE 😫 " my body itches all night, my head feels light and heavy at the same time from not getting any sleep. Edit: gave birth to a beautiful baby girl she has had 2 operations 1 @ 11 days old another @ 42 days old she an obstruction in her intestines thank God she is now very healthy 🙏 she will be 4 months at the end of this month (may, 2021).
@@joycegabriel3573 have you tried sleeping with a belly band? that did wonders for me...also, when you turn from side to side, make sure you move both legs at the same time, like you're a mermaid, so you don't pull your muscles and cause a strain.
Great information, one humble recommendation-slow your speaking pace down a bit. When speaking to an audience that isn’t as familiar with a topic as yourself (especially with trying to compact as much info as you are in this video) does make it a bit challenging to retain what was said 😊
Am 10weeks & 2days gone but finds it difficult to get a sleeping position, most times I feel comfortable sleeping at my back with pillows on my both sides.. Each time I sleep mostly on my left, its hurts around my hip down to my leg.... My first appointment is in 5days, I pray everything will be alright.. God strengthen all mom to be
I’m not a woman so this doesn’t apply to me but its still pretty helpful, something i can pass to my pregnant sisters to watch. Must be nice for the women that are already side sleepers but it must be hard for women that sleep on their backs to make that transition. Very helpful and informative👍
Sleeping on your left side after the 20 week mark is the best for pregnancy, good to know. Great information to share. Thank you for sharing all the many things that affect sleep :)
Sleeping on the one side area can really strain my hips and that is very painful but I will definitely buy the pregnancy pillows to give me the comfort that I need
I was never a side sleeper and sleeping on the side has a been a huge challenge, so I got the U shaped pregnancy pillows and after a while I had shoulder pains so I played around with elevating my head pillow but then soon got hip pain due to a new pressure point..it's a total nightmare! I shift in bed about 30 times a night and I barely sleep :(
I recommend a memory foam mattress or topper. These do absorb body heat though, so I recommended layering a comforter or 2 over it it. Idc what they say about staying cool, they all get hot, too hot, unless moving about enough to let the hot spots cool back down. Getting the right memory foam mattress or topper can eliminate having pressure points.
this sleeping pillow is a nightmare, my ear hurts and my neck gets numb making my arm swollen. I acutally prefer sleeping on the left side on my orthopedic pillow. I put that sleeping pillow into the crib for the baby, will use it as crib borders
I miss sleeping on my tummy, sleeping on my left side causes me pain in the rib area, sleeping on my right side is the only option and I just wish I could sleep on my back 😪
Sleeping on my left side causes my left arm to go numb and tingly, kinda hurts abit and is bothersome, I sleep on both sides but more on the right due to that problem with my left arm
This really helped! I’m on my first pregnancy and it’s been tough, especially the sleeping part. I roll about 25 times every night and I can barely sleep it’s a nightmare. The back pain I get is awful and I get this cramping sensation in both my buttocks and it’s also painful especially at night. I’m only 15 weeks and I got a lot more pain to go I’m sure lol
Bacause of a pain dunno where comes from, i can only sleep on my right side. And now my right shoulder is dying. But still i think I'm lucky that i sleep OK. 4 weeks to go!
I usually sleep on my left side (sometimes right) with a pillow between my knees and slightly bent. My arms and every now and again my feet go slightly numb... I wake up and have to stand and walk around otherwise I worry something may go wrong. I’ll have to ask my doctor about this, but it really worries me sometimes 😰
I have a system worked out already LOL. I didn't want to get a pregnancy pillow, so I am using a plump pillow between my legs, another pillow on either side of me to rest my arm on while the bottom arm is stretched out (my arms are falling asleep otherwise. Not fun). And if it gets too uncomfortable sometimes, I put one more pillow behind my back so I I'd be laying halfway between my back and side. I get up to pee 2-3 times a night, so each time I get back to bed, I change my sides. That was working wonders for me! BUT lately I have an awful hip pain if I lay for too long on my left side and nothing helps except just keep on sleeping on my right side. But then I wake up with a squished ear LOL. Hope some of my experience helps!
I cannot comfortably sleep on my side. It KILLS my hips and sciatic. I tried regular pillows and prego pillows. Just not enough support. I was a left side and back sleeper BEFORE but now I can only sleep on my back with my adjustable base on Zero gravity.
Its been 4 months sleeping on a sponch only cuz everytime me and my sis thinks of buying a bed we have to make sure my mom is cormfortable and has money for the month...but maybe this month we will finally get a bed weve been saving as for the pillows i wish ive been forsing sleep so i can be fresh for work the next day...its not easy but with God on my side everything is posiible...i just hope i dont squash my baby sometimes. 4 months more and it will be over just need to hang in there
This is excellent information that will certainly help a lot of people. I have no plans to become pregnant, but I kinda like the pregnancy pillows - they could be of great comfort when you're sick and have to sleep upright.
I have hip, knees, and back pain since I started to use c shape pillow 🙈. I normally sleep on my back, but now no matter how I position myself I wake up around 4 am with huge pains. I am testing now this elevated position, seems to help me a bit, but my bum feels bit squashed after putting most of pressure on it. Sleeping while pregnant is horrible 😔
Dear ladies.. Don't be stress about sleep.. I have a tip that take a glass of worm milk with sugar add 5 r 10 strings of saffron.. Before going to bed.. It really works.. Thank you
Think about my boyfriend and space in bed? He’s lucky he’s not relegated to the floor or couch. I’m going through hell and back with sickness and not eating, not sleeping etc and you think I’m going to accommodate him? I’m the pregnant one he can sleep on couch if a pregnancy pillow is too big hahah. He sleeps on couch sometimes anyway so I can get a good night. He’s so cute lol. Great video thank you!!!! Xxxx

I'm 26 week, I'm trying to sleep on my left side since the beginning, it happened that I slept on my back. But most of the time when I woke up from my left side overnight sleep my hips hurt soooooo bad.
pauline makesse girl, I’m here to tell you that you need to get yourself an SI belt. Your hips and lower back are hurting because of your SI joints. My moms fiancé is a physical therapist and he recommended it to me and my life has changed since
I get tired of sleeping on my left side my hips and leg start to hurt so I switch to my right side then that side tends to hurt and I catch my self laying on my back for a few minutes which takes some ache from my sides but overall I cannot sleep 🤦🏻♀️ I use to sleep on my stomach and that was my comfort position and I miss it my body pillow sometimes doesn’t even cut it I usually sleep in the morning/day cause at night it’s just a no no for sleep or getting comfortable
@@hennythingwithgina6244 girlll yes lol I’ be reminiscing like ugh I miss my old life ( going out , drinking , smoking some weed fucking sleeping on your stomach/ back )
Always been a side sleeper that randomly will roll on my back. It's tough to stay on my left side all night since my hip takes all the weight and I wake up with it hurting while using my U shaped pregnancy pillow. I will turn over to my right side and by the time I wake up to have to go to the bathroom again my hip is better on my left side and I can turn back over. It's been tough since before pregnancy I slept straight through the night without issue and now im averaging waking up around 4-5 times a night.
Not sure I'm pregnant yet but I used to be able to sleep on my stomach and now I'm finding it very hard to sleep that way. I would be 8 weeks if pregnant, do you know what pillows and position would work best for me?
Thanks love this video this is my first pregnancy I have a problem with sleeping on my left side it sucks 🤣 arms and legs falls asleep but I been looking at pillows so I won't mess around an sleep on my back
when i try to sleep on my left side i always end up on my back and i just wake up sore with back aches. but i can sleep perfectly fine on my right side :( i was a stomach sleeper but i immediately stopped that because it was just uncomfortable i could barely breathe and my boobs were sore
Same here....im a tummy sleeper and cant taje sleeping on my side. The left side is the most uncomfortable as i have meralgia paresthecia on my left leg. I just cant deal
I'm struggling to sleep and I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I normally sleep on my left side but now, I cannot sleep at any positions at all. My lower back aches so bad. I bought a U shaped pregnancy pillow but still not helping. I'm so tired..
I am 35 weeks I can’t sleep on either side it seems I get sore from it and now I know why it doesn’t feel right sleeping on my back . Miss my pregnancy pillow I moved and it got left behind I bet it would help me so much
Is it normal to feel pain on one side of groin area? I felt this when I hit 4mos,I'm on may 21wks and can still feel pain...the feeling is like my muscle beeng torn or pulled apart
Sounds like round ligament pain, I get it when I bend to sit or when I stand up too quickly. I hope it gets better for you soon, it’s no fun and hope you have a healthy baby, delivery and recovery 😊 good luck
Thanks for this video! I have really bad sciatica so find it hard to sleep on my side (it’s so painful!) - which pillow would you recommend for me to sleep on my back safely? I don’t mind being very propped up! Also which wedge pillow do you like best for reading etc?
My left side is so uncomfortable, my right side is the only way I can truly fall asleep. But I do switch back and forth during the night. I try to do a 20 angle with my pregnancy pillow for half my back! So I’m not completely on my back and it helps!
What type of pregnancy pillow would u recommend for pubic bone pain ? That’s been my biggest issue pregnant so far I’m almost 32 weeks and the pain is insane especially at night
First pregnancy and the heartburn is what’s really really kicking my ass. I pretty much have to sleep sitting down, it’s been awful. I’m on week 37, so I’m almost there but the last few weeks have been awful 😞
I can relate I sleep sitting also coz my hips and upper back hurts when I sleep on my left, then when my head isn't elevated I cough the whole night and can't breathe properly
Janice, me too for all of my pregnancies... even before the 20 week mark. A gel/microfiber mattress (like Purple brand, Casper, etc.) helps cushion and support, too!
When I lay on. My left side and right side my ribs hurt n start to feel sore and plus I’m only 22 weeks n 3 days so it’s hard cause I can’t get comfortable I have 3 pillows on my bed so I really don’t kno wat to do please help
Kisha Pettway 11 same I’m 32 weeks pregnant and I can’t sleep on my left side my right side to me is so comfortable I feel so much pressure on my right side while sleeping on my left side 😩
Hi! I’m only 16 weeks pregnant and having such a hard time being comfortable while sleeping. I’m normally a stomach sleeper and haven’t slept on my stomach since I found out at 7 weeks. I do have a pregnancy pillow but it is so stiff and uncomfortable it just doesn’t work for me. I do tend to be more on my left side but my hips and lower back are in so much pain I’m constantly moving around. Do you have any pillow recommendations that aren’t super stiff and help with hip/back pains?
I’m on my second child it is way more pain ache on my right side n I’ll be 19 weeks I keep ending up in my back in middle of night and wake up to turn and my preg pillow isn’t helping me stay on my side
I'm 40 yrs old and I'm having my baby in 20 days. I have not been able to sleep through the discomfort of being pregnant and my belly feels difficult to sleep on either side. I have had to sleep sitting straight up in bed. I really need help finding a good position
I was eating chimichangas the previous night and out of nowhere my stomach said "no, ma'am". I loved chimichangas, so it was strange. Next day, bam! Found out I was pregnant lol. Other foods I loved, I now despise and the foods I wouldn't eat, well...I eat them.
Sometimes when I try to sleep on my left side I have difficulty to breathe properly. so what should I do.? I used 2 or 3 pillows still nothing, without pillow nthg I feel better when I sleep on my right side
I am not a side sleeper at all. I use extra pillows and C shape pregnancy pillow. My baby is about 8lbs at the end and.. man woahhhh! I move a lot of an angle still hurt my stomach. Not to mention many trips to restroom like every hour
My left side is so uncomfortable.. I sleep better on my right. I switch probably 10 times during the night between both sides , but right feels best. I have a pregnancy U pillow, two pillows under me, one between my legs, one under my head and I’m still in pain 😩
Babu6 was mostly on my rifht which meant sleeping on my left caused an uncomfortable gravitational pull downard which was almost painfull to tolerate . I switched to my right, would elebaye myself tobrest on my back and also spent time on my left side.. I figured it was not for baby to be in paon. No matter whichbside I slept on. I have a pregnancy pillow samenas baby bub but ordered from Amazon. It ws good at forsf but I strted to feel like i was just preasing my bump into the firm Pillow which was also uncomfortable.
That pillow is the most expensive one I've reviewed but it's pretty amazing - it's the Oggi Elevation Wedge-Based pillow and you can check out my review here: www.mattressclarity.com/pregnancy-pillow-reviews/oggi/
Im 26 weeks now and so comfy on my right too and back sleeping with a little elevated head when sleeping on my back. Pregnancy pillow helps me alot during my 20 weeks til now,
Hi there, I'm 18 weeks pregnant and already have that J-shaped pillow you showed in your video. However, I'm not too happy with it, it doesn't give me the proper support, it became flat after only 4 weeks of using it. Now my tailbone is in pain and I have no idea how to help myself :( and I spent 60 euros on that pillow.
I woke up one night sleeping on my belly at 5 months. Terrified i squished baby to death. Painfully and no movement after for almost a day, which was normally an active baby morning and night. Scared the heck out of me.. glad though I've fealt it moving after again. My guess is baby must have gotten moved to a different position. Bathroom breaks at night definitely are a thing.. or horrible leg cramps. But Bananas peanuts and magnesium help.

I'm 26 week, I'm trying to sleep on my left side since the beginning, it happened that I slept on my back. But most of the time when I woke up from my left side overnight sleep my hips hurt soooooo bad.
me too! My hip kills me if I sleep on it all night. I now sleep elevated, helps a lot
Saaaame!
pauline makesse girl, I’m here to tell you that you need to get yourself an SI belt. Your hips and lower back are hurting because of your SI joints. My moms fiancé is a physical therapist and he recommended it to me and my life has changed since
I’m also 26 weeks pregnant. I thought I’m the only one. It hurts so bad.
Can you recommend me what pregnancy pillow should I get???
I get tired of sleeping on my left side my hips and leg start to hurt so I switch to my right side then that side tends to hurt and I catch my self laying on my back for a few minutes which takes some ache from my sides but overall I cannot sleep 🤦🏻♀️ I use to sleep on my stomach and that was my comfort position and I miss it my body pillow sometimes doesn’t even cut it I usually sleep in the morning/day cause at night it’s just a no no for sleep or getting comfortable
I’m dealing with the same can’t wait for this to be over
@@hennythingwithgina6244 girlll yes lol I’ be reminiscing like ugh I miss my old life ( going out , drinking , smoking some weed fucking sleeping on your stomach/ back )
Always been a side sleeper that randomly will roll on my back.
What about sleepping pregnancy for twins? I'm confuse how to takebthe position because 2 babies inside
good info. very useful for pregnant ladies.
Glad it was helpful!
Sleeping at the sides at the 6th isn't comfortable, cause I feel baby kicks at my sides, what should be done pls, Tnx

My left side is so uncomfortable, my right side is the only way I can truly fall asleep. But I do switch back and forth during the night. I try to do a 20 angle with my pregnancy pillow for half my back! So I’m not completely on my back and it helps!
I sleep on my left side and find myself waking up from my right hand side 😅😅😅
Hello please how do I get the pillow?
Suggest me where can I buy pregnancy pillows & which one?
Sleeping on my left side got me through my pregnancies.
Didn't your side hurt after them nine months?
Maybe you can try to get some of the filling out of the pillow? Or try putting a normal pillow in your back while you are sleeping on your side.
o0HelloKitty19850o my issue isn’t my back. It’s my sides.
I’m on my second child it is way more pain ache on my right side n I’ll be 19 weeks I keep ending up in my back in middle of night and wake up to turn and my preg pillow isn’t helping me stay on my side
Thanks for this 🙌🏾
You bet!

My left side is so uncomfortable.. I sleep better on my right. I switch probably 10 times during the night between both sides , but right feels best. I have a pregnancy U pillow, two pillows under me, one between my legs, one under my head and I’m still in pain 😩
We are experiencing the same things.
Same here
What is the big blue pillow shown when you're laying on your back ??
Babu6 was mostly on my rifht which meant sleeping on my left caused an uncomfortable gravitational pull downard which was almost painfull to tolerate . I switched to my right, would elebaye myself tobrest on my back and also spent time on my left side.. I figured it was not for baby to be in paon. No matter whichbside I slept on. I have a pregnancy pillow samenas baby bub but ordered from Amazon. It ws good at forsf but I strted to feel like i was just preasing my bump into the firm Pillow which was also uncomfortable.
What s the reason for backpain?...is it affects normal delivery!...what should i do for normal delivery?
Hi thanks for the video. May I know which is the best pregnancy pillow do you recommend if your right side (back, hip, and shin) aches?
Hi, what brand is the blue full body wedge pillow that you have which can prop us up especially for backsleepers? Where did you buy it from?
That pillow is the most expensive one I've reviewed but it's pretty amazing - it's the Oggi Elevation Wedge-Based pillow and you can check out my review here: www.mattressclarity.com/pregnancy-pillow-reviews/oggi/

Sleeping on my left side is more trouble for me. I am more comfortable in right side what to do? Any help guys??
Hi there, I'm 18 weeks pregnant and already have that J-shaped pillow you showed in your video. However, I'm not too happy with it, it doesn't give me the proper support, it became flat after only 4 weeks of using it. Now my tailbone is in pain and I have no idea how to help myself :( and I spent 60 euros on that pillow.
Have you tried a simple belly wedge with the J pillow? The one I had looked like a piece of cake.
Can you link the big dark blue pillow that you’re using when you talk about heart burn please
Omg thank you am 11wks but CNT sleep
Like I already sleep on my left side but sometimes every thing just hurts
