Massive, massive fan from India. Me and my friends used to copy his bowling action. And probably had the best yorker in the 90s after waqar...swung in late at 90 clicks! And entertaining batsman to boot

Yes.. Easy copiable side on action.. Robin singh, When Srinaths action pulled off rightly then I always feel a yard quicker.

As much as I love Gough's bowling action, I love listening to Butcher's commentary.

Wasn’t Gough the bowling action animation of the 99 World Cup? Loved his action as a kid

I'm not sure about bowlers stuck in the nineties considering the skill and variety we get from most good bowlers we get these days, three types of slower ball, knuckleballs, off/leg cutters fast and slow bouncers, all disguised (speaking of pace/seam bowlers), too many to mention from today's game - but us see Jasprit and Shamsi from the test series bring that T20 / IPL skill under pressure into the red ball game. In the Vitality Blast we have seen similar levels of skill re: variety in most seam/quick bowlers, look at Jordan or Tyrone MIlls, ALL of the NZ bowlers Jimmy Neesham, even someone with De Grandhomme's pace (spelling) you name it. Otherwise .... Dazzla was spot on, the thought process at high speed decision making forced on the bowler v batsman. Fascinating, great little article, thanks to Goughie, Butch, Nick Knight.

I love Darren. One heck of a swing bowler he was. But the scene stealer here is the Masai walking sneakers he is wearing. Epic

All emerging fast bowlers could have one session with him. (if possible) I believe it definitely change /improve their career in so many different ways

This guy will make an excellent limited over bowling coach.... not to mention what a fantastic cricketer he was in the 90s..... skiddy and had some real wheels, and could nail those reverse swinging yorkers.

Asain bowlers are good death bowlers coz they have been conditions where conditions dont suit fast bowlers. , so they developed many variations too early, also many bowlers bowl below 90 mph so they need other variations than convetional variations.
Also dew factor is in asia , needs more control

Bowling under pressure is like saving a penalty, you have to wait the last movement of player. As a player in under pressure you have to be very calm.

Because the large majority of batsmen are right-handed, and it's easier to understand.

Darren Gough is possibly one of the worst commentators on the radio... he was a good cricketer but hasn't got the IQ or vocabulary to be on the radio.
