Make no mistake we are still hard at work on the railroad, and we will be putting down our first bit of track in the near future. ALSO, the discord server is now live as promised. Feel free to click the link below and go through the joining process. Thank you all for watching and we will see you next week!

Hey all! We have a poll up on our community tab where you can vote on the coloration for our speeder car "Buzz". Let us know what you think! This poll will stay open for the foreseeable future until further notice. So, go ahead and cast your vote! We look forward to see what everyone thinks 😎

Yeah orange & black will look good on the speeder and paint the front & back ends in the D&RGW style with the diagonal black V stripes style. Keep the vertical framework black and make the main color orange to highlight safety and also add in your detailing in black letters like "MOW" and "Safety Furst" and "Max 2 Persons", etc.. Maybe add your own RR Logo on the rear on the wooden box? Just make sure when you choose the shade of orange, that it stands out like a pumpkin, tangerine, safety orange or even a neon orange if you are running in a low light condition like dusk time. For sure black & orange match perfect. Also use a glossy orange and a matt black finish, that will show more contrast.
I do hope you have plans to expand your trackage. I don't know how much property you have to utilize, but if you could make a longer run maybe into and through the woods and cross a trestle or bridge and maybe a homemade tunnel like using a ballon track while still using the original loop. Also building an Armstrong turntable would be cool and kids could gang up on it to help turn the steam loco. 😜
And as an afterthought, eventually you will also need to repaint all of your passenger cars and since kids all have their own favorite colors, I think you should mix them all up, red or yellow caboose and then some other bright shades of colors so that kids can pick "I want to ride on that one" type of situation. When kids get to pick what color of car they ride on, that makes them feel in control and it makes the parents job easier to get them onto the train. 👍And when everyone is happy, then you get the bonus as a business.

I hate to disagree with Paul haha, but I think I agree with this. Also @Sugarmountaincondo, they have big plans to build over 1mile of track around their property, and that's what this is all leading up to. They are trying to build a tunnel feature also. But hey a bridge idea is something to consider in the future for them I bet! In fact, it might be a good idea in some spots.

While at a swap meet (boot sale?) in my neighborhood this week I came across a pocket book of “The Standard code of OPERATING RULES - BLOCK SIGNAL RULES - INTERLOCKING RULES. This small book was written by the Association of American Railroads, Operations and Maintenance Department, Operating - Transportation Division Operating Section. It’s noted as, Adopted March 1949, and is 124 pages. It is 100 x 146 x .5 cm. I have read the book and thought you may enjoy owning it. It involves the rules for railroad track switching. I would mail it to you if your interested. Do you have a PO Box number?
    Regards,
    Gary

From experience, even a standard gauge velocipede will quickly derail in reverse. Something about the geometry of the outrigger.

It's definitely one of the scarier pieces to run out here next to our fairmont speeder 💀

Gotta side with your wife on speeder colors. Definitely orange with black detailing. I used to have a Bangor & Aroostook speeder in those colors. Definitely looked good.
I've derailed a velocipede before. Wasn't fun. Broke off a piece of tge wooden rigging. Do yourself a favor and add some lead weight to the outer wheel.
Love what you guys are accomplishing. Keep up the great work!

I could probably be wrong, but the color scheme on that beautiful old Loco 😜 is sorta like the old Chicago and North Western color scheme...
    Very much cool 😎
You know, somewhere off the track or one of the future tracks anyways, a really nice compound bow 🏹 range set-up and maybe a similar spot for the local families to come and sight in their 12 and 20 gauge shotguns with their nice new rifled slug barrels and scopes on them and a spot for building their Ruger 10/22's up with their slings and bypods and pistol grip stocks etc...
Who knows, perhaps the great white buffalo 🐃 Ted Nugent might pop on down for a visit and bring his beautiful M2 Browning 50" Cal on the tripod and pop some blanks off. Ya may have to chip in for the ammo though 🤔...
Suzuki Quad territory and 500CC MAKO RIP IT UP AREA.
JUST LIKE WILD WORLD 🌎🌍 OF SPORTS I USED TO WATCH AS A KID IN THE EARLY 1970'S...
    Endless Possibilities Guys 😊

It's funny you mention an archery range the property next to mine has one and I've been trying to negotiate adding some acreage to the railroad. We have lots of plans for this thing once it's done 😎
