They could easily add "Always-On" and "ProMotion" to the non-Pro models, but if they did, a majority of people would never buy the Pro models. It's all about sales pretty much.
RIGHT!!! I mean these super cute pastel colors are reminiscent of the iPhone 5c in a way when colors started to be the thing. But the pastel is even more fun, uplifting, bright, cheerful and slick.
Agree on the reducing numbers of iPhone models. Just have 2 iPhones in different sizes that's the best iPhone every year, but also have one iPhone SE for people wanting a cheaper iPhone.
So I think that should happen from iPhone 17 onwards since they’ll be bringing the 120 HZ refresh rate on all iPhone models. Now refresh rate, camera and processor are among the major distinguishing factors between the pro and base models. Once you solve for one, the others will follow. Let’s see what happens.

I agree with you about just having two models. On another video I posted that I would like pretty colors on the pro model and people were not very nice. I love the better cameras but I preferred the colorful models.
I've had the 15 PLUS for 6 days, first time did NOT get a pro, save $500.00 and I just love this phone battery life is amazing 10 hours . . . speakers, dynamic island, weight, brightness, speed f'ing @amazing❤❤❤❤❤
I have the 14 plus and love it the big screen for less money. Yeah I don’t get all the extra camera features but I am not a photographer so it doesn’t bother me the cameras are already great. My phone battery lasts 2 days which is insane for a iPhone. The 15 plus does look nice my wife likes the pink color this year. Looking forward to your tests of batteries and speed and all the great stuff you do to compare the models from previous generation to this generation.
@@mig5law nope it stays perfectly cool and I have a MagSafe otterbox case the same color of the phone the blue one. I use an off brand MagSafe charger and I charge my phone every other day or course depends on usage but I get well over a day use with medium use. I don’t play games so that might affect the battery and how long it lasts but I watch TH-cam videos text surf internet etc. on it and it is plenty fast. The only thing that some say are a downer is the 60 hz screen but I don’t notice I came from an 11 so the oled screen looks amazing to me.
Completely agree these base model iPhones are so similar to the Pro models that Apple should get rid of the Pro line and just make one iPhone with a regular and plus size with all the features. I’m sure I’m dreaming here but if they did that then they could bring back the mini as a more cheaper entry model. To me that makes more sense because then you have 3 different sizes without having Pro duplicate sizes.

Device shouldn't be considered as precise/professional but it gives understanding of PWM level.
9:50 - this is the wrong way of checking for flicker leading to totally misleading results that your TVs and electric lights should not be used because they're flickering too. BTW there are dark stripes on the pro model screen - that's fickering too.
Great video as always, Aaron! I’m going to stick with my iPhone 12 for now. Still works perfectly for all my needs, although I wouldn’t mind the better camera on a 14 or 15 Pro. Keep up the great content!
I would have loved to get the 15 plus in Product Red, but it wasn’t included this year, so I got the black one. Setup was easy, but I did have to call AT&T to have them transfer my number to the new phone. Overall, I am happy with the 15 plus. I had no need for the Pro model.

As a Realme user (Chinese Android brand) I believe that the best iPhone 15 model is the Plus. Yeah, you are missing the AOD and other Pro features, or 3 cameras, but you have a huge battery and a huge screen, and the phone is powered by the processor of the iPhone 14 Pro, which means you still have a Flagship Processor plus a very big battery for several hundreds of Euros less than the 15 Pro Max. This is why I believe the 15 Plus is the best. The Pro Max is also really good, but too expensive, and makes no sense to spend 1500-1800 to 2000 € just to have those 3 or 4 features you will use twice in your life. Design-wise it might be better, but if you want an iPhone with a long lasting battery, and a huge screen, but you don't want the pro max, the 15 Plus is the right choice in my opinion. Unfortunately, my parents won't let me buy an iPhone, even with my own money (that's why I use Android on a Realme 11 Pro Plus, which is not a bad phone tho). But IF I had to buy an iPhone, I'd look for sales or deals and buy the 15 Plus for 700-800 Euros. Idc about the triple camera or the AOD, all i care about is screen size and battery. Oh, and you also have the dynamic island and its correlated features, except you spend 800 for the 15 Plus and over 1500 for the Pro Max. It's a 700 difference, which might be really relevant to some. The 15 Plus is the best.
You talked about updating iOS on the new phone. You definitely need to do this if you’re planning to restore an iPhone 15 from an iOS 17.0.1 backup on your Mac. I tried to skip the update, but I got a message saying the backup was incompatible with the new phone. After I updated the iPhone 15 Pro Max to iOS 17.0.2, I had no problem setting up my new phone from my old iPhone 12 backup.
I’m sure within the menu you can now limit the max charge to 80% this may prolong battery life life..great comparison..was going for the pro now I think it will be the 15 plus.

I feel like the blue version of a newer iPhone resembles the purple version of an older version. The blue 15 reminds me of the purple 14 and the blue 14 reminds me of the purple 11 & 12
Slow mo video does not always show PWM, best way is to use a camera with shutter speed set to 1/1000 or faster, on Android you can use camera set to photo in pro mode.
They absolutely should go down to two models. The way Apple is limiting features such as the new optimized battery charging limit option or always on display just to create differences between the models has grown tiresome.
I am considering upgrading from iPhone 11 to either 15 or 15 Plus. Can you compare the sizes? Can you make a "sandwich" with the 11 between the two 15s and show it from all directions? Thank you!

I got the iPhone 15 Pro Max last week and I love the phone. I got it in the blue titanium. If you going to spend money on a new iPhone go with the Pro Max it is a few dollars more but it is worth the money. It is better to have features and not use them than not have the features and wish you did. GO WITH THE PRO MAX. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
Hey Aaron. When is iOS 17.0.2 expected to drop for the 14 series? 17.0.1 is really laggy, animations are bad and overall it doesn’t feel like a 120 HZ ref refresh rate device.
I am just into my mid 60's and my iPhone 6s is having issues. Due to an unfortunate death in the family, inherited a 15 Plus the is on when you touch it, but not English. These are on different networks and re-set to factory settings. What do I do to change it to English and "Then" transfer data? Contact my carrier first to transfer SIM card, then ? DK
Absolutely the biggest Pain to transfer from 14Pro to 15Pro. Easy transfer would never connect via Bluetooth. Finally gave up and used the MAC restore method. Transferring Cell with ATT was also impossible, and finally went to an ATT store. I’m sorry I got the 15Pro.
went to the apple store hoping for a smooth transition of phones but nope, i had to walk across the street to at&t o get my esim transferred and then walked back to apple. All of that couldve been avoided with a physical sim lol.
Coming from android, I waited a lot to make the switch to iphone. I m wondering should i get a new regular iphone 15 or get an used or refurbished iphone 14 pro max (assuming apple will be sell them) . I m on a tight budget so price difference is as important as the specs and future proofing

The regular 15 is already small enough in my small hands, no need for a mini
They are all just white. The blue to me in person looked grey or silver, white with a little blue tint in the light the whole back just looks white
I haven't seen the iPhone 15 in person yet but in videos the green one is definitely my favorite.
