  • In this video I replace the front wheel hubs, fit new wheel studs and fit the new wheel bearings and adjust them.
    There is a link to the driver disk kit I use in Amazon here: amzn.to/3usiMW1

    IMAO for the backyard DIY type there is another method if you do not have the bushing drive pucks to set the bearing cups. Place the cups in the freezer and warm the hub. If the temperatures are good the cup might just drop in place.

      Yes I have heard that works but Im usually in too much of a hurry or not organised enough th heve it ready.

    I've never seen a grease nipple on a tractor wheel cap. You would think it would get rubbed or broken off, that could be called operator abuse I suppose lol. good video Lance. Keep smilin

      They are sort of in a deep recess, probably only good if you get the wheels in deep water.

    Thanks again for another fantastic video lance 👍 and of course the motivation to get mine done 😬 I'm always doing bit's and peices and the latest was replacing the cork bush on the throttle assembly. A rather difficult thing to do but got there! ( maybe a video of ?) No special tools in my shed apart from improvisation and that's where people can get lost in thinking they have to have that because a manual might refer to them !

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah there is a lot of improvisation needed to keep costs down for a one of job. I will get to the cork when I work my way back to that area. There will be no bolt left alone, lol.

    Careful with the sparex ones, the holes are ever so slightly smaller. Cracked a hub pressing the studs in.

    Hey Lance, another cracking video.
    See for your video on the bushing can you demo on how to reem them? I know you said they are a good fit with the sparex but it would be much appreciated if you were to explain the procedure🙂 and what tooling would be needed.
    Keep up the good work Lance

    Thanks for the videos. I bought some aftermarket wheel bearings, a spindle, and bushings for my mf65. Everything seems just a bit off in fit. The spindle is 5/8" longer, the bushings seem a bit too big for the casing and a bit too small for the spindle. Is it possible that somebody swapped out the steering gear from something else?? Any ideas?

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is possible, I found in the past that some brands of bushes did need reaming, but the Sparex ones were the correct fit. If you don't get them square to the bore, they need reaming but fit them straight and they go straight in. Im not sure why the king pins would be longer though.

      @@BundyBearsShed Thanks for answering. I think I found my problem. I checked some other spindle information and I seem to have a transplant in part of my front end from a mf35. The diameter is the same but it is about 5/8" shorter than the mf65. Also there are some minor differences in the bushings - enough to cause trouble.

    I know its kinda a big ask but I've been wanting to hook up a front mounted Hydraulic pump to the front of the engine for a loader. I can't find any videos addressing this on any Fergusons. Im sure you have knowledge in this setup. It would be great if you could show us the proper way to do this.

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look for a Massey 40 or 50 backhoe set up. They drive from the front of the crankshaft.
