    Few manufacturing companies use space here and that is one the great way to set preload or end float because one has nothing to do as everything remains within the predetermined setting.But in conditions like this without spacer great tutorial by the experienced guy.

      We did that in my apprenticeship in the shop but the general opinion now is that it doesnt help. But in saying that Im sure it wouldnt cause any harm either.

    Seen a few comments on the discs used to insert the races. Did mine at the weekend and panicked when I didn't have anything to drive the inner (larger) race home. Not sure if this is by design but the hub-caps worked perfectly - exactly the right size and the threads don't touch the race! Your mileage may vary but it worked for me!

    I have a bearing packer with which you use a grease gun to pack the bearings, but I find it's much quicker and easier to pack them by hand, as you did. Often times the old way is the best way.

    I watched this then went out and stripped the hubs off to inspect the bearings and adjust the slack, these videos take out the worry of tackling a job you've never done before with a degree of confidence, thanks Lance. one thing I found were my bearings remained in the hub when i removed it, is the normal yours seem to have separated when you pulled the hub from the king pin?

    What is its end float setting by manufacturer?

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  ปีที่แล้ว

      They just give a torque on the nut, so no end float or a torque wouldnt be possible.
