I have a question re film, I sold all my film cameras years ago, because in Devon I could not get any decent processing and scanning done. Any prints were diabolical. Where can you get good scanning done . I’m thinking about getting a Nikon f4 to use alongside my d7200. Thanks
Hi Sean. The easiest thing to do is to process your own film. You don’t need a dark room to do this - just a few basic pieces of equipment. However, if you didn’t want to do that, there are a few places which you can send your exposed film to in the post. I don’t think you would get comparable results on 35mm to your digital, so only do it if you enjoy the challenge of film. If you want great results from film, then you really need to go to medium format. Then you’ll get far better quality than you will be getting on your digital camera. As far as scanning goes - 35mm is a bigger problem than any other format, as the film area is so small. If you home scan medium or large format film then you’ll get great results, but 35mm needs specialist gear to get the best out of it (which becomes expensive and laborious). Hope this helps. (Marcus)

I agree. I have seen this episode and having just watched the Midas Touch that a similar thing has happened. I'm starting to question if there is a Q with youtube, as last night I watched two programmes and lost sound on TV and on a tablet on two different videos!

what's going? on this is the last video showing as the latest upload of 10 hours ago, and here was me thinking only mainstream media fobbed us off with repeats 😂

Good episode 👍 but I couldn't help but chuckle at James explaining the colours of the hills at 4.06, as It reminded me of Johnny the depressive painter/artist from the Fast show.... "BLACK..BLACK...BLACK..!" ☺️ th-cam.com/video/XAERxf4yYaw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nXuY_1LJmA5EmIOK
