Locate the battery: The battery is typically located in the engine compartment, on the driver side.
Disconnect negative cable: Locate the negative cable connected to the battery and remove it first.
Disconnect positive cable: Locate the positive cable and remove it.
Remove battery hold-down: Remove the hold-down bracket that secures the battery in place.
Remove old battery: Lift the old battery out of the compartment and set it aside.
Install new battery: Put the new battery in place and secure it with the hold-down bracket.
Connect positive cable: Connect the positive cable to the new battery.
Connect negative cable: Connect the negative cable to the new battery.
Test battery: Turn on the headlights or other electrical equipment to test the new battery.
Close hood: Close the hood and make sure it's securely latched.
