    nice work Dino. love how you routed the cable.
    I ended up going 2 kings 120ah lithium in parallel in my hiace and I have been extremely happy with them

      Awesome. Kings batteries are good for the money for sure . Good to hear they working out for you . Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    400 ah at 24 volts is 800 ah at 12 volts, that's a hell of a lot of power storage! A 665 watt solar panel may be just a bit lite (i run 400 ah @ 12 volts with 350 watts of solar and its a bit less solar than would be optimal), but you will have the dc-dc so np. Very solid foundation for the new build. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with this time.

      Cheers mate . If I could get more solar on the roof I would, just don’t have the space up there. So going bit more extra on battery storage . I found I just need bit more than 300ah when running power hungry devices on an overcast day. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    G,day from Geurie sports grounds,the bride is in England looking after her sick mum so it’s me and the dog for the next several weeks 👏👏👏👍👍😂😂 great clip Dino ,it almost looks like you know what you’re doing 😂👍👍❤️🙏

      It sounds like you've got your hands full with just you and the dog 😃 I might just be getting the hang of it .But hey, as long as it looks like I know what I'm doing, right? 😂 you sure get around mate . Hope everything will be good with the mother in law and her health improves. Look after yourself and take care . Travel safe . Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    A great video could be a double decker solar panel on the roof. Think one panel a little higher than normal fixed as normal, and the other underneath on a Teflon or roller slides that rolls/slides out to expose the second panel either out front, rear or side/s. When rolled out, plug into system for double trouble, I mean double power. Might even be a first on you tube of this size and power....

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Awesome idea .A double decker solar panel setup with a sliding mechanism sounds like a game-changer for maximizing solar power. Just don’t know about the weight though. But hey it could be possible though. Something to think about . Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching 👍🍻

    Hey Dino, nice video mate. I don’t know what’s wrong with my TH-cam account mate as I’m not getting your alerts(bell icon is selected to get notifications). Thankfully you are one of the channels I always enjoy watching so I will always do a search mate.
    Can’t wait for this built to eventually take shape mate
    Hope you and the family are well.
    Onto your other videos I missed out on mate
    Cheers Jason

    Bigger wire is better anyway over length and amp drop thru lead , should be solid in your set up

    Thanks Dino, very good vid, you've been reading my mind buddy, I'll explain in an email soon. I hope you and your family are all good, I'm all good here mate. Seeya Rob.....why 24v ??

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Cheers rob . All been well thanks mate ,hope all well your end . Gonna be 24v for the power . I don’t need to run such heavy cables for inverter as it’s less amps . Also I don’t need as big solar controller being 24v . Take care mate 👍🍻

    Did you know in a Hiace there is another compartment behind the drivers seat which could house a battery. Possibly for a left hand drive vechile for s battery

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No didn’t know …. I know there is an access panel behind the vinyl trimming behind passenger seat . I will have to have a thorough look . Thanks for pointing out and thank you for watching 👍🍻

    Are you gonna do another series on fitting this van out like the other 2 vans. I enjoyed them both, I’d love to see this build too.

      Am hoping to . I’m waiting on the sale of my other hiace slwb van so can have the funds to start this van build.

    Looks great. What's the other 50amp plug for? And will the victron mppt charger go direct to the battery or to the dcdc charger. Cheers

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 50 amp plugs are for each Victron dc charger as there will be 2 (i currently have them as they are 24v 15 amp Victron dc charger x 2 ) and I got a 30 amp mppt Victron to go to the battery bank which will be 24v . Well that’s the plan but it could be subject to change at anytime 😂

    Have you got no VSR for the cable running to the Dc charger. Could you accidentally drain your start battery?

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. The dc charger senses when there is no voltage on the input and shuts off. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    Hey Dino, is the dc-dc powered all the time from the vehicle battery, no trigger/switching wire so it is only working while engine running?

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes . Only works while engine running . This Victron has a setting that senses when there is a startup current from the input wire and then it starts charging when engine running and when you turn off it also turns off because there is no input current flowing . Just some dc chargers you need an input trigger wire to start the charging . (So example cig plug in car only works when key turned on. So small wire from cig outlet fuse . So dc charger starts charging and off when engine off) I actually might do a video on this to try explain better. Usually the redarc,Victron have auto sensing and there is no need for such trigger wire .

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Check the link in description as hopefully it explains in there with auto sense of the dc charger
