I highlight a piece of month old "drama" to make a point about Twitter's place in the Star Wars community. The point of this video is not to specifically discuss all the aspects of the Star Wars Theory/Pablo Hidalgo incident, but rather to use it to illustrate a point about social media and its influence among Star Wars fans.

I just TH-cam searched for "Star Wars Twitter drama" and was surprised to see how much stuff was going on that I didn't even know about. I don't use Twitter because I find it to be an absolute cesspool (I only found out about this incident because it was trending on google one day). If you want my honest recommendation, you should get off it if you already use it. It's toxic, but it's also a distraction from more important things. The deck is stacked one way anyways, so you are really only hearing the discussions that they permit you to hear. I probably won't make these kinds of "drama" videos often unless I can make a decent point that I think is worth making and hopefully entertaining to listen to. Thank you for watching. Have a great day!

The same people going crazy over Hildago saying that are the same people who bullied that one guy who reacted to the Rise of Skywalker trailer lmao

There are multiple problems as far as Star Wars goes and the movies, shows and video games are the least of them. The neverending drama caused by TH-camrs and Twitter users is a far big problem. Mike Zeroh, Geeks and Gamers, Doomcock, Den of Nerds, Star Wars Theory and countless other dumbasses not to mention dumb reaction videos where some good looking girl watches random Star Wars movie for the first time and obviously overreacts for the camera. I liked the old days where there was actual legitimate news and not made up crap by a bunch of losers with 'leaks' and 'inside information'. I deleted my Twitter account over six months ago by the way. It was extremely toxic in almost every way.

I used to like SWT but nowadays I feel like he's enabling the toxic star wars fans and is kinda part of the problem

Why? Because he dislikes the sequels? They're awful

My biggest problem with Theory is how his overzealous fans have actually threathened the lives of EckhartsLadder and other people over the Pablo Hidalgo incident and he didn't do jack shit about it. What Hidalgo did was wrong and I am aware of the fact that he really hasn't had the best history with Star Wars fans but Theory was an absolute fucking drama queen for riding the controversy into the ground. Even long after Pablo came out with an official apology towards Theory saying that his tweet was just an awkward but mostly harmless attempt at sarcasm that probably wasn't even aimed directly at Theory. Because that's exactly what Theory does. He feeds off of the drama. A lot of which he himself has created.

@@yourfriendlycynic654 No. Because he loves playing victim for clout. To him controversy is always good publicity. Everytime there seems to be a bitter divide and huge controversy within the Star Wars fandom he always seems to be at the centre of it. E.g. How he forced Pablo Hidalgo into a corner after the Theory VS Hidalgo situation. How him and his incredibly annoying fans started harassing and bullying StarWarsOnly after StarWarsOnly called him out over his stupid irrelevant fan fic Anakin killing Jedi kids Order 66 wet dream tweet when he was tweeting about the upcoming Kenobi series. None of said tweet had anything to do with Obi Wan Kenobi and when StarWarsOnly level headedly corrected Theory on this, Theory went into overly defensive mode like he always does. And don't even get me started on the Levi Bond of AllNewNerds drama. Theory just got way out of hand in that scenario. Just the way he attacked poor Levi who was simply just giving his own honest opinion about Theory's channel and his conduct and was super respectful and level headed towards Theory too was just unacceptable. I really hate how he portrays himself. It's like he is always right and everyone else around him is always wrong and he feels the need to always gaslight himself from any sort of criticism. These three videos do an excellent job of showing why Theory has become an arsehole as of late and also possibly highlights why he has always been this way. They explain why Theory has become such a horrible person way better than I ever can:

"I don't really know what to say about the controversy itself..." Pretty simple really:
... corporate exec ridicules big customer; exec is publicly exposed; other customers are infuriated that a customer was ridiculed because it means they are being ridiculed as well as they give the corporation money; customers spontaneously ban together and use one of the only weapons they have to fight a corporation; the result is a show of consumer democracy. Ther ya go. That simple.

Makes sense. However, are they really “fighting the corporation” or just being crybabies. I am all for people putting their money where their mouth is and boycotting a company that goes against their interests/values, but I highly doubt that’s the case with this scenario. Let’s face it, no action was taken against Hidalgo, he issued a half hearted fake apology, and we will all continue to pay money to watch Star Wars. Besides, as much as I am personally with SW theory on this, it is a grown ass man crying over a relatively unemotional scene in a fictional sci-fi fantasy franchise. It’s well within the realm of being made fun up. Just like me making videos on this is also rather silly, and me and you commenting is fairly pointless. I am not expecting to be respected simply because I have an opinion or emotion towards something.

I love how with all anti Disney sentiments it's always a "big bad evil corporation" thing. Star Wars fans are the biggest drama queens ever. I hate how they always feel like they are entitled to everything. They aren't. No wonder most people call them the worst fandom and the most vocal one.
