Does anyone knows the usernames of those backend accounts for ig they talk about? I’ve been wanting to do something like that for a while now and I’d like to learn how they do it
@@dominicscars I think I understood what they meant, posting reels on the backend means not posting them to your feed, just to reels so they don’t appear on your profile to bother your followers and they only show to people using reels, you need to deselect “also share to feed” when you post a reel for that

The problem with this, is they may get tired of your promotion, and 2. they'll be the first/only people to see your reel. It makes it harder to reach new people. So when you're uploading a reel, with all the other settings there's a button that says "also share to feed". Make sure that button is off and it will only post on reels and you should reach new people instead of your already existing followers.

I had to chase this info down cus I needed to know too lol backend reels refers to when you go to upload on ig and you choose reel as opposed to a post or story, and then it asks if you’d like to post the reel you uploaded also to your ig posts on your page. The advice given is to say no to that cus it can fuck up your engagement by being served to people that are already familiar and maybe not as engaged with actually consuming the content in a way that tells the algorithm that it’s compelling and people are liking it. Choosing not to post it on your ig and just keep it in reels will ensure that the context of it being served to people is one where they aren’t familiar and therefore allow the total percentage of people watching your content to not be watered down with people that just give it a like and move on without watching the whole thing or just skipping past it entirely which would inform the algo gods that your content isn’t engaging in a way that keeps people around for the whole thing. Basically removing as much already established partial interest as possible to make room for full interest cus the robots don’t know why it’s only getting partial watches or support, they just know it isn’t.
would be valuable as hell if u all did audits of tiktok accounts where it’s almost like Q&A but u go in depth on peoples accounts on how in ur eyes they could elevate what they are doing, i as katniss everdeen volunteer as tribute to be 1 if ya do it

It’s possible to love art-making deeply and still feel unmotivated around certain aspects of being a creative. Effective advice on how to stay motivated may be best given in specific and having understood the struggles of the particular artist. Saying “You don’t love it enough” is rarely constructive feedback. Where as, “Make the time. Find the time.” in answer to how to balance music-making with life seems more helpful🙏🏽 Thank you for all the great insights!
The only thing I don’t like about their approach is that they don’t advocate for producing a quality product! My music might be crap but I want it to be the best crap it can be! It’s like they are just releasing music to make money, not art! Sounds like this advice is more for bubble gum pop music?
