Because of your videos...I have my push draw back! I focused on throwing my arms to the sky from the inside ...it's just a feeling, but I was going around too much.
For a while I assumed I could only use your swing for my driver, but recently it finally dawned on me how to use your technique for irons, even partial wedges. Simple, and pushed my handicap index down from 7.4 to 3.5. I hope I can work with you in person one day. Thank you for such uncluttered and informative explanations.
Driving is usually one of my strengths but struggle in wind and have a few loose misses. Took this one idea to course today and dumped all other thoughts. Wow my best driving day ever. Missed 1 fairway. Got decent distance into headwind. Keep it simple :) thanks
Am having good success using your methods. I'm also a lefty. On your back swing I've noticed your right or lead arm folds a little. I've always been told to keep it straight. I have to relax both arms to get the releases. I'm 70, and still enjoy golfing. But, struggle with the short pitching. Can you do an in depth video on the short game. Thanks for the knowledge. Stay safe Ron from Michigan
Hi Ron. I've tried the straight lead arm but I lose a lot of speed and it feels locked and stiff. I will keep going with the videos and pithing is coming up again before winter. 👍
Thanks for sharing, Marcus. It appears that you have a slightly closed stance, and you tee the ball from the right side. So, for Righty, tee it from the left side with a closed stance should be easier to promote inside-up draw swing. correct?
Hi. If my stance looks closed it's camera angles that fool you. To hit my draw I need a straight or slightly open stance. The ball is normally a bit forward of middle. 👍
Great video again! At 6 feet tall, how far behind the ball should I try to position low point of the swing path ? Thank you John Canada. Where do you teach from ?
We need to have the low point about a foot before impact but to get that I need to think at least three feet before impact. What we try to do and what we actually do will be significantly different. I'm in Stockholm, Sweden.
If you don't need to maximize your distance you have the option to hit down but I wouldn't recommend it. More backspinn will keep the straight but you will loose distance. Tiger hit's down as the default (fade) but when he needs to bomb it he hits a high draw.
I am trying to swing in and up but when my right arm extends it rotates my right hand and the club face closes and de-lofts resulting in hook shots.I must be missing something here . Thanks
Marcus thanks again for responding to all of my questions. I started adapting to your methods about 2 weeks ago and I saw some improvement in both my distance and directional control. I have this natural trail hand rolling over the lead hand motion from baseball, when as a youngster I tried to copy Hank Aaron’s hand action to put backspin on the baseball to gain distance. So when I started playing golf 35 years ago that was my natural swing motion. Like you said in the video about rolling the handle, it has caused me to be very inconsistent. I watched the “Scoopy” video and I understand the intended motion, but like I said, when my trail arm extends it causes my trail hand to roll over the lead hand. So do you consciously think about your lead hand ( smart hand ) controlling the scoop as it is being powered by the trail hand? Or, do you consciously try to get your trail hand underneath the lead hand ? I will say this, that when I accidentally do it correctly I get a nice long high draw. But the swing is happening so fast that all I can do is think about what I am attempting to do before the swing. Another question, when in the downswing do you try to start the scoop ? I feel that I am very close and just missing one piece of the motion. Thanks again.
@@chrisstevens2593 I can't tell you how to make your body to do this correct. My own way was to hit hook, draw hook, draw, hook, draw until I managed to choose to do the correct motion. I still hook some golf shots but not to many. It is almost like I have 3 different shots and mostly I am able to choose the right one...
Hi Marcus, when I try to hit inside and up, I often have the issue of catching the ball below the ctr of club face, or sometimes topping it despite I put it on high tee..may be I put the ball too far forward ( near the lead foot toe), or may be some other swing fault. I know it's hard to tell just from my simple description..but I wonder do you have students facing the same issue?
Marcus this question is for both irons and driver. Even though your swing path is in to out roughly 15 degrees as you have stated in your videos, does the club head cross over the target line or does it stay on an arc and only touching the target line at impact? Thanks
Hi Marcus, I was wondering if you had some tips about the rotation. I am someone who uses my body to make an aggressive rotation and my hips fire around a lot and let my arms trail. Which of your videos would help learn what you are talking about? Thanks again for the video, I love the simplicity of them.
th-cam.com/video/AeUZj7MobdA/w-d-xo.html I think this could help a bit. Delay your hips in transition and try to get the club further down will help you to find a better path to the ball.
Love how you simplify the swing. No clutter. Great stuff here.
Glad you like it!👍
Well done. Really like the simplicity of this.
Glad you like it!👍
Thank you Marcus! You have helped me tremendously! I am finally learning to hit the ball after playing golf for 40 years! :)
Thank you for trying and watching my channel. 👍
Inside up? OK so be it ... always nice to work on something new ... thank you 😁
Only a new way to think. Good luck. 👍
Hope you’re not expecting 130mph from me this week on Skillest, my friend 😂
Very well hit mate. 🍻

Only 129. 😁

Inside-out-up is a good thought. 👍

Thanks for your hard work. I am only a guide in this, you are doing all the work. Great job. 👍

Inside and Up! Exactly what Count Yogi used to teach.
👍
Hi Marcus, I hope you are well. Is inside and up okay for irons too as long as the up part is after impact? Thanks 🙏
Yes, absolutely. 👍

@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Thank you so very much. Enjoy the Ryder golf. Friends of ours made the trip to Rome.
Great stuff Marcus, for that fast player you mentioned who just wants to hit straight, should the hit down on it?

Hi. I think you should try to move the ball back inch by inch until you find a good impact. Try it and let me know. 👍
I ll do that..many thanks for the great videos🙏

I have never had to much out. In slow motion I can see the club barely crossing the line.
