Nothing will be as good as the year 1 soundtrack. The feeling when you first wake up in the amazing world of destiny when you first arrive to the tower and you hear that powerful but peaceful music then hearing the music when you first enter orbit signifying the beginning of your adventure. This music is very nostalgic
Those of us who paved the way for the new guardians will never forget the struggles that we faced. Both within the city and beyond!!! STAND TALL YEAR 1 GUARDIANS!!!!
s70driver2005 NOTHEN LIKE THOSE GOOD TIMES! I remember I woke up early started playing destiny with my friend on Venuis patrol and glitched into he vault of glass and started to explore.
IKR! The music in the game back then was way better than it is now! This music makes it way more mysterious and spacey-like. Idk how to put it it's just better.
Ralez I MISS YEAR 1 😭😢😭😢😭😭
true
How I miss destiny 1. One of my favorite games of all time

This is the magic that Destiny 2 lost. That relaxing mysterious atmosphere of this game really took you to another world

Nail meets head
Destiny was one of the few joys I had in life back in 2015.
Horrifically depressed, no job and no friends. I considered if living was even worth it. But logging onto Destiny brought that little spark of joy into my eyes, the music, the atmosphere, the community, it was perfect. I am in a MUCH better place these days, good friends and well paying job, but destiny will have a special spot in my heart for the rest of my life. Thank you bungie for making such an incredible experience.
Good to hear man, i was in the exact same place in 2015 and can totally feel your comment.
depressed at home, had to quit school and my dream to be future job.
took medication and found Destiny 1.
It was a big escape from life and was sucked into it.
the soundtracks made me feel alive, i felt happiness finally, otherwise i would feel flat or sad.
the social aspect with online talking helped me aswell, finding friends etc.
now im very far ahead in a short amount of time when i recovered from taking pills and building a irl future.
almost would trade to go back just to play the game in that time only, that much of an impact the game had on me.
Hit the gym my Bro 💪
Stay strong 👊
Eyes up.
I had a similar situation where I got really sick and dropped out of school and couldn’t work. All I had to keep me going was waking up, getting my daily bounties done on all 3 characters, then doing whatever else I needed to get done
nostalgia. miss being a freshman in highschool and playing this game when it first came out. dont care what people said about it. it still gives great feels
FrostyGamer same man. Was in 8th grade when it first came out. Made friendships over this game with people that I consider my closest friends. Just crazy to think that this game played such a huge role in my life
I was 10 and every body bullies me about playing it but it got me through some tough times playing with my friends who didn’t care if I was a skweeker
Same
I remember being 10 and caping cabal off the face mars
I was an 11yr old fetus in 2014, this game gave me life
I dont care what anyone says, the sheer amount of nostalgia this game holds will make it my favorite forever
Yup, the memories i had from D1 are definitely better than any other game I've ever played.
*cries* *cries* , vault of glass , XUR, tower music , I wanna recall to play these days 😭😭😭, this soundtrack makes me proud of myself and it really reminds me of my adventure on year.1 I felt that I was in space , I met a lot of good friends too !, From the start to the end ! , SO MUCH FUN 😭❤️,thanks bungie, and now we are playing destiny 2 , another adventure is coming😭❤️❤️
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's gone
MADA I KNOW RIGHT the feels bro It’s incredible I love it played destiny since 2014 sometime in September and so on it’s amazing and heartwarming who can ever hate this it’s amazing and loving
@fish yup. beyond light sucked ass if you didnt know already,
@@ceoofmilk2756 Well, still my favourite game after all these year. Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 are by far my favourites and I will carry them in my heart like I never carried a game.
Bro fr😭
8:59 is pure Destiny. Whenever I hear those first few seconds, everything from D1 to D2 just flood my brain.
It's beautiful
I search this up every couple of months
100% It gives me chills every time I listen to it! And the title fitted perfectly. This feeling of a new adventure and so many mysteries we did not have answers to.
I often sit around and cry at the fact in 2014 I was pretty much just a kid not worrying about anything just waiting for my friends to get online not having to worry about life and not having to worry at the heartbreak that I would have years later I remember me sitting at home late at night in my room waiting for the next adventure to start or the next activity to do with my friends some of my greatest friends I met and lost on destiny 1 I will never forget those amazing memories that I hold onto rve tho u can never go back to those simple and amazing times
hope you're doing well bro
Miss these days chilling in the tower messing with randoms
7000 hours in this game. The best gaming years of my life. RIP Destiny
also the best gaming years of my life
Martin O'Donnell is a genius.Great relaxing music from Halo unviverse and 1st Destiny. My favorite theme here is
Tranquility and the best part is 5:35
I'm fond of 17:14 ♥️
God damn I got chills
Amen! Still miss his works. F***ing Love that man’s works.
Martin o'Donnell, the SOUL of Destiny.
they fired him before D2, where's the soul in that game?
they can make it shiny as they want with graphics, and new content, but still no soul to be found..
@@CryptischemuntYeah. The new music is just meh. It doesn't have the special sauce destiny 1 had.
I always wished we could see the world of Destiny the same way the concept art shows it.
Who’s gonna tell him about Europa
@@Inc_Sack
Shit dawg, haven’t played since I finished the last wish raid. Pretty out of it. Something happen????
@@SpaceGhostFan broooo come back on Feb 22 for Witch Queen, but also get Beyond Light. D2 is getting nuts
We were just having fun... No care about the world. Fully emerssed. Thank you bungie.
This is what Destiny should have feel, but the game itself now turning in to typical FPS game, no more intentional mysterious sci-fi fantasy.
yeah the whole sci-fi fantasy is what made me really like the game but now Destiny 2 is just becoming exactly that a typical FPS game
Brian
Actually since warmind destiny 2 has become really enigmatic piece of sci-fi philosophy. It's become REAL deep. I needed to use google translator in some parts as they infuse latin words in it and other times it takes time to udnerstand what it truly interprets. Try getting a grasp on this lore card:
Xol, the Will of Thousands, perished but was not destroyed. Death is a road, death is metamorphosis, the unsacred road between destroyer and destroyed. The might which defeats a god is also the ambrosia that god craves, the meat-sweet logic of Existence-Asserted-By-Violence, the binomial decision between two ways of being which deny each other. In dying, Xol fed richly.
Now came Xol unto the Taken upon Io, who fed Xol with plunder and tried to make of it an idol and a commanding will. Yet Xol was bound joyously to the very logic that sustained it in its death. It wanted the sword proof, the single proof. It wanted to become a rule which divided the mighty living from the mighty dead. So it whispered the Anthem Anatheme, the temptation to dominate the objective universe with the subjective will. It said, I shall be an engine to make your desire hegemon over your conditions. It said, WIELD ME, AND USE ME TO TEST YOUR FOE. This was its worship, Aiat.
Have you seen Forsaken? Goodness
Forsaken changed that fact
@@nicklepicklepopsicle71 even so, the game is a brand and is very superficial compared to the quality of D1 forsaken and shadowkeep we're good attempts but the music will never compare and the graphics of D2 suck big time and show the superficial game as it is. D3 must be more engaging in quality and quantity like quality of D1 and quantity of D2 otherwise it will be no more than a mainstream bandwagon degenerates sheep area.
Still listening in 2024 as a D1 veteran. The witness is defeated. Nothing will ever match up with the beginning. The mysteries that awaited us. That fantastic soundtrack served so much for the great atmopshere this game had.
Even though the game was not perfect until Taken King I wish I could go back and experience all of it again. It is impossible. We have answers to most of the mysteries nowadays and I guess even if the story had been written differently we would still miss that feeling of 2014/2015.
Still here. Watching. Waiting. As the Traveler hovers over the City. Time passes by, and so do the ships. The game might get old, but not the guardians in it, and not the music.
Music... is eternal
Zero thumbs down and it better stay that way. Destiny 4 ever!
Sadly someone just disliked this :(
Nuuuuuu!! What monster could do such a thing :(
The Hungry Troll Probably a hater of course :(
Troll hipster who disliked it
The Hungry Troll
- You just basically asked for it to be disliked goofball!
17:15 sounds like waking up on christmas morning
Recipherus reminds me of Harry potter idk why
Ericc Yes reminds me of HP too! 👍
Recipherus it always reminded me of fall
This was one of the best tower music themes. The Destiny 1 tower was just perfect.
I remember being only 11 years old when Destiny first came out. It was so new to me, I was so used to halo that the thought of bungie making something other than that made me skeptical. But then it turned out be a master piece, at least in my eyes. Everything about it felt so...magical and mysterious. Every time I think about this game I get this wave of nostalgia; People like to say I'm thinking with rose tinted glasses, but I think it's me reminiscing about a game I truly loved since the day it came out. Heck even now. I can say without a doubt it is one of my favorites games of all time. I never was so dedicated, and out right sucked into any other game or anything else in general, the music and the lore, EVERYTHING about it was just so irresistible and comforting, especially the first couple years of playing it. I know it's cheesy to say things like this, but it really helped me get through hard times, I didn't need friends at school or a loving family, all I needed was this game. Man I wish I could relive the first time playing this game and when skipping school meant nothing...*sigh...
Sarai Napoli dude saaame. It makes me sad that i cant spend all my time bc i gotta focus on high school work and stuff. And its a shame destiny 2 had to fail like the way it did... makes me sad to think about it like that sometimes.
facts bro.
I used to stay in orbit in D1..
Just to listen this awesome music 😢
This video actually made my grown ass cry, I remember coming home to this game after long days of middle school and playing on the same 360 I got Halo 3 with and just the amount of memories made, the amount of friendships made, the amount of fun I had and just the nostalgia of this game in general is enough to make me remember when it was a much simpler time for gaming and although people are mixed about the story, nothing can possibly beat the amount of sheer nostalgia people get when hearing this music again and remembering the good year 1 times of d1 and just how much of an impact a single game can have on a person is just unreal
All I can really say is thanks to Bungie for making my life just a little less boring because they nail every single game they make and they blow them out the fucking park
For some reason 13:52 reminds me when Im looking for that perfect shader
Igloo Cultist same mate
Reminds me about being in the tower at 3am after completed raid...trading, organizing, talking... such good memories
Omg dude has been stck in my head for awhile
Somehow, someway Bungie was passionate enough to create this masterpiece of a game and universe. I can't remember having ever played a game that makes me feel as nostalgic as Destiny does. This is my favorite developer and game of all time.
Damn. Thank you, I’ve been looking for Deconstruction for a long time.
a kind of therapy
You know, I never was a big fan of how Destiny turned out, but holy fuck, this soundtrack...
same M8
This franchise has had more of an impact on me than most people I know. It’s been a wild ride. I’ll see y’all on Europa.
Miss this game and what it could've been. RIP, you're all my favorite Guardians. I wish I could meet you out there again and rediscover the game completely.
when I play this video to my daughter, she falls asleep immediately. lovely
I love the D1 Launch OST, sounds so dreamy like ur looking at marvels that humanity created at their peak now desolate and where peaceful nature resides.
Brings it all back, just remember hoping on this game when I was 9 years old after school with my dad and playing for hours on end grinding strikes, memories man memories
This reminded me of my raid days. Vault of glass, crotas end, kings fall, wrath of the machine. Oryx, Atheon, crota, aksis, warpriest, Templar, golgaroth, irak-hul, deathsingers, vosik. All apart of my childhood, it's hard to move on when you love something as raging, heart warming, fun and rewarding as this game is.....was. goodbye destiny 1, you'll be missed by us all
The music of the tower will never stop invoking the same feelings of wonder that destiny provided us. I remember the day I first got the game and loaded into the tower after the tutorial and just feeling so at ease and comfortable.
this music hurts my heart deep D1 was so special wish D2 felt anywhere close
I’ve been playing this franchise since 7th grade. Time flies when your having fun I guess.
6:44 - 7:13 so beautiful with the guitar :)
DishClothGaming I can't find this in part inside "tranquility" on Spotify. Am I just crazy?
Bshunter7 true
ODST Vibe.
No day will ever be better than the day you woke up started the game and tried to find out which class you were gonna be, brings back memories
Wow, It's September 10th, 2014! The second day of Destiny and I'm having so much fun. Happy 10th Anniversary guys.
I was 9 when destiny first released, I played it back then, and 8 years later here I am still playing.
I was 6, and listen to this music it's like a little view to the beautiful past
"Tranquility " is a masterpiece bro, this frees my soul from its prison for a few seconds...😌
and the game freed my mind a lot...
This brings back memories of those late-night grinding in D1. Miss the thrill of tackling Nightfall and admiring the loot while chilling in orbit with these music. What a core memories.
God can I please go back just 1 time to this everything was simple and peaceful
We were in the Golden Age in 2015/16. And we knew it. I miss the late nights of TTK
D1 is still playable and actually pretty active
You know how when you feel nostalgic you have this feeling? Like a smell that you cant smell, but feel? It might not make a lot of sense, but that first song just gives me a feeling of old destiny, pre Taken King, the game felt so different then it does now in d2, same with a lot of games, like GTA 5 when you just got it and everything is new and you have almost nothing, then like a year later you have a lot of stuff and it doesn't feel as good as back then, that's what this kinda feels like. So many things have changed and they won't stop changing, I just hope that people in the future can have that same kind of feeling as kids, and truly enjoy all of it while they still can, because time flies too fast for it to be taken for granted.
Michael Salvatori is the goat of gaming soundtracks.
Destiny 1 has a great charm no other game can come to compare with.
Indeed
it’s a friday night. your parents are out of town for a couple days, and you just made 30 pizza rolls. you put your headset on as you return to your seat, or your spot on the floor, and watch as people come and go to the tower, the occasional shimmer of a player leveling up or receiving an exotic. your friends slowly start coming online, ready to play the new update. the vault of glass awaits.
Crazy how we came from this to The First Disciple.
Back before we were allowed to even know Music of the Spheres existed, even the mere fragments of Marty's genius began to blow us all away
Been listening to this for years to sleep. God how I miss yr 1. The nostalgia of the game itself and what was going on in my real life at the time now :/ #neverforget
I feel so bad for the kids who grew up with fortnite, personally I grew up with this game and halo, both of which have extremely special places in my heart. I may only be 14 years old, but this game has led me to meeting so many people, sharing experiences, and just being at peace. Destiny 2 is just not the same though and going back to this feels so good.
You are so right. D2 will never be as good as D1. We all have great memories of D1 , wiping over and over again on vault of glass, grinding on prison of elders. And man playing hide and seek in the tower with 6 people was the best! The D1 experiences will always be with us.
I've grew with Halo and some other titles but I manage to keep up with Bungie and 343 since they hold very close memories to cling to. Their aesthetics won't be forgotten, nor their sins or deeds. I'll like them anyways.. sad to see O'Donnell not do any music for D2, created so much of the atmosphere of the series, correction, first installment..
@Kelly Casey Dreher, Saaame man, im 16 about to be 17 and i feel so empty these days not having a real good game like d1 or the older halos to play. Also i agree, Destiny wasn't like these toxic games now. People were much more calm and nice, i had so many friends when i was playing d1. But now in d2 it feels toxic and u get these angry gamers who don't even play for fun, but to ruin you day. Sigh*...miss the good ole days
I got the same feeling with Minecraft
I booted up xbox one edition for the first time earlier today because I was mad at the way they're handling the current console edition and all the memories from my xbox 360 days came flooding back :)
Good times
With destiny, I remember just riding my sparrow around the moon and getting mad at the mission where you first fight the cabal
I miss Destiny 1 and minecraft xbox 360 edition
Can you feel how Destiny 1 had a completely different feel than Destiny now? I do. D1 will always be goated
I stopped playing this game waiting for destin 2 and still can't let go of this amazing soundtrack
In year 1, I had a friend on PSN who never spoke to me, but we would do strikes together at 3 am, and after we'd just sit and listen to the music at the tower together. I don't even remember their name or even their character's class, but I won't forget how peaceful it was.
I had almost forgotten how much this music soothed and calmed my nerves XD
As a Halo veteran who hasn’t played destiny I just wanna say we in this together and damn do our franchises have amazing soundtracks
8:44 the first track made for destiny.
It’s been along time since D1 year 1. Almost on year 3 of D2 and it pains me to know I will never be able to experience D1 again like it was back then. As much as I love D2, I miss loading up to the old tower and going to Rahool, ranking him up and praying to RNG for a legendary. The memories.......
Deconstruction is another world man
I still play destiny one I don't care how dead and old it is right now in 2018 but it's still a cool game
Its 2019, and shadowkeep is about to come out but I bet I'm still gonna be playing d1 when I get bored of d2....cuz it seems to happen quite often 😕
2021 here, I still log on D1 from time to time when I’m in the endgame of a season. Destiny’s atmosphere is just 100% better
3rd grade MW2. Early high school Destiny 1. I’ve accepted long ago those are my peaks in gaming. So much fun
Nothing like destiny 1 days, can’t believe how much I damn miss it now that I’m listening to the soundtrack! Hell of a ride!
Have looked for 14:06 for so long thought about jumping back in D1 and recording it myself lool
Destiny 1, where everything was yet to be discovered, a whole unknown universe of wonders waiting for us
I remember getting back from high school to hop on Destiny, I would sit in the tower looking for an LFG to do either VOG, or Crota. I would do the raids then strikes, and sometimes even go into PVP. I wish I could go back.
Destiny became a way of life. Its much more then just a game to me now
Rawand Chaabi agreed
Brings me back to year 1 of destiny 1. Still miss those days.
Man oh man, way back then. Elementary school, no COVID-19, and not a care in the world. How I long for those days again.
13:55 was the one i always liked made me sad thinking about how some friends i raided with have passed away
@RWDS yeah man, they didn't even touched D2
Who remembers grinding nightfall and vog? I the og times of destiny. My feelings for this game further prove that video games are more than competitive killing games that kids play. It’s an art form. It’s a story with characters. It’s memories with friends that you’ll look back on and feel a longing for. I feel a pang if nostalgia, sadness, and joy. I’m sad I’ll never be able to play the game in the same way I did the first time and happy because of all the good times I can look back on.
fish haha yeah good times man
Even trough I enjoy destiny 2 and feel that it definitely is superior then destiny 1 in many ways something about it just don’t feel as magical as the first one. I remember downloading the demo and was so hyped to play and the music playing in the background with some of the concept art showing that’s when I know that this game was going to be something special. I remember just exploring the cosmodrome for hours when I first got to play. Games like gta with a bigger map does not even compare to how real the cosmodrome feels it always felt like I was right there. This game really helped me to communicate with people because I wasn’t really much the talkative type.despite all flaws I’ll always love this game it was something special and I’m glad it exist
This is an awesome compilation! I love the beautiful and wondrous music of destiny!
Thank you for this!
one of the most nostalgic games of all time (final fantasy was probably the most nostalgic of all time)
And the concept arts are f***ing amazing!!!
I want to go back to the house of wolves days and year 2. That was the best time period for Destiny.
year 3 age of triumph was the best.
@@bruteunicorn1345 That was also the update that killed the ammo economy only for PvP and bought back icebreaker which also broke PvP. Hence why it’s not my top.
@@stealthhunter6998 yeah, im talking about the other 80% of the game that isn't pvp.
That was the prime of destiny IMO, when trials was first introduced this game became more than a game to me and my friends, it was a way of life. Every friday after class it was our ritual. As a PvP player it gave me all the more reason to play PvE just to get guns to compete with in trials, it was the birth of that PvE - PvP game loop. Year 2 destiny will always be the best days im glad i got to experience.
Thanks for the upload man ! ^^
Man, love or hate the game, no one can deny that this game has a phenomenal soundtrack. And yes I'm listening to this right before they announce year 2 for Destiny 2.
the great unknown track used to give me chills right before we started raiding back then... oh dem good old feels....
I really miss this type of like space oddity music and the relaxing vibe it had. Still great amazing soundtracks they have today. But I still wish I could hear those trumpets again...
@Ralez I feel the same way, i really miss Year 1 Destiny. I like all of the DLC, just that year 1 Destiny gave me the most and best memories, with my friends raiding and crucible... gosh i really miss year 1, but cannot wait for Destiny 2 coming out September 8th
I'll be picking up D2 on my PS4 Pro
4:08 woooow
Edwin Rabasa
Yes!!! That's what I came here for. The fucking little pluck of guitar or whatever that was!!
Yes dude this part has to be my favorite melody of all time it’s just filled with a sense of peace and is very graceful
The crazy thing is the amount of nostalgia and amazing memories, but the CRAZIEST part is most of us have probably been in a fireteam before......
Hearing this now makes me want to cry on how amazing this game was
I really like Deconstruction. That's the song that reminds me the most of year one.
I still love it and I still play it, Destiny 1 was something special with all its faults. Music was absolutely perfect.
D1 tower music was so good
From 6:40 for about a minute or so is my favorite.
Wow this is excellent ! Thanks !! :3
The chanting reminds me of Halo's theme. I miss the days of innovation and quality. Games nowadays seem like rioffs of each other, complete with a battle royal and a battle pass.
Wish I could go back to farming the cave in the cosmodrome, and helping random players do an event. Those were magical times
Comminting again because this was a more enjoyable game than D2, its just it keeps me speechless of how wonderful those times were even i didnt have friends who had D1
Alben0 Same here. Didn't have anyone to play the game with for the first year, so I couldn't do much. However, not only did that mean everything I earnt was so much more rewarding, but it left a mark on me that nothing else will be able to. This game in year one, though not perfect by a long shot, was such a memorable experience for me, and something I wish I could revisit for years to come. It's just a shame that the DLCs and the sequel couldn't live up to that experience.
I remember first playing the game how beautiful it was so much to do and learn
I am absolutely not into FPS games, but the soundtrack is so very beautiful!
14:00 the tower 😍
Bro how tf was this 9 years ago. Man i sure do miss those days. Time flies by fast😔
Unrelated but....THE TRAVELER IS FUCKING HUGE IN THIS PICTURE
anyone elsethink this is better than ttk soundtrack
by far
yes
bro 8 years i miss that all
What a great story Mark - Tommy Wiseau
6:56 I have found what I came for
17:48 Excerpt from the ruin...nice :)
This is very nostalgic i remeber back then before the abomination release of destiny 2, i got my ps4 destiny the taken king limited edition for christmas and I excididly connecting to my psn and jumping into destiny 2 and hearing the calm music, ahhh good times, good times
