The dividend is actually switch $ from your right hand to left hand, the stock price of the company will ADJUST(fall) after paying dividend, of course if the company is good the price will keep going up but from the dividend point of view you didn't gain extra $. Usually a company won't pay dividend if they are really good at earning $, stack holders are willing to let the company to keep the $ and use it to make more $ and push the stock price up rather than receive the $ as dividend.

I make about $3800 monthly dividends, but my goal is $20,000 monthly before the year runs out because I read a comment on reddit where a man mentioned making up-to $35,000 monthly and I could really use pointers on how to reach these figures.

From 3k in the bank and 40k a year, to now 35k in the bank 16k invested and 85k a year. I’m 5’5” and now 29 so I relate to you a lot! Mirroring how you speak and present has helped me become better at sales. Just wanted to say how much I have appreciated you channel and content. Here's a tip to save money: *don't rent your modem.* Just buy one. You can get a better modem than your ISP gives you for less than $60. That removes the $12-15 monthly rental fee, and the modem will pay for itself within a few months. Plus, you get faster internet speeds. Then you're never paying for it again, and instead saving that $12-15 a month you would have otherwise gave to your ISP. Doesn't sound like a ton of money, but it adds up over time, and combined with other money-saving measures, can truly add up to a decent amount.

The thing about Passive income is that it takes active effort to either set up / maintain. I still maintain "passive" as an oxymoron. To get it, you must be prepared to invest / hold attention / follow through / meet deadlines or qualify in some manner. By all means, have multiple revenue streams. Just don't assume it's going to be "set up and turn your brain off".

    • @andrewkolandjian9449

The problem with spending thirty to forty years building up a dividend yield of &100 per day is that there’s not exactly going to be a freeze on inflation during that period. If all your capital gains are eaten up by devaluation of the currency, then dividend yield compounding becomes a loser’s game, and that money is far better spent elsewhere, such as index funds, which have stayed ahead of inflation since (I believe) at least the 1980’s.

Something I recommend is if you have some money saved up but still can’t afford a down payment is ask your parents if they want to get in on the business with you, as it also helps them make more money so what I did I I put 50k and my dad out 50k and we made a down payment of 100k for a 500k property so that when we sell or rent we do a 50/50 split and you don’t need 100k but your still making money, HOWEVER make sure you can trust this person and that they have a stable job and are good with money

I finding it mind blowing that these so called passive income advices never mention the passive income you can make from developing, holding and leasing things like Intellectual property, mining claims, advertising real-estate. You could do things like develop 3D assets, photographs, software, software plugins, own venting machines, owning ATMs and so on... Hell there is even a way to get telecommunications companies to pay you rent for putting an antenna in your land. Graham give me a call next time you make a video like this, I will take the time out to give you some pointer on passive income alternatives.

Generally, beginners start with index funds or dividend stocks. Other types of investing such as Forex or Options requires more effort and skill. There are also some great copy trading sites (full disclosure that is what my channel is all about). But as a beginner, you might just start with a RobinHood account and make a few small investments in some dividend stocks.

IDT that people spend a lot of their money nowadays so they already saving a lot and putting them in stocks. Why not doing investing in Growth Stocks instead of Dividends and REITs that takes no work but if you put work upfront in stocks, you can make passive income. The index funds is for life. Since I am 19 and doing college, I will consider Real Estate when I have time for it.
