  • With over 5000 kilometers and two countries traveled, the 2013 Honda Forza 300CC has been put through its paces. Before purchasing this motorcycle in Thailand, I combed through the internet for reviews and information in an effort to dissuade myself from buying it. Before making any major purchase, I always look for a reason not to buy something. If my thorough search for negatives turns up few and far between, then I know the product is worthwhile, or too new for criticisms. This seems to be the case for the 2013 Honda Forza. Here is my comprehensive review of my experience with the Forza.

    Thanks for the tip on the center stand ! I have a 2003 Reflex, pretty much the same bike, and i have never been able to get it on the center stand by myself. Ya, these are great bikes for sure, great video by the way !

    I think I'm more impressed with the fact that you rode in Thailand LOL. When I was there, I watched the riders in awe and thought to myself, NO WAY! :-) Nice vid, and nice bike!

    Great review. Your 3-1/2 week trip through Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand is precisely what I'm gearing up to do this summer. (Same. 3-1/2 weeks.) But meanwhile, want a bike/scooter here in Albany, NY. You just sold me on the Forza. Your priorities in choosing a bike are the same as mine. Had hoped to be in Thailand tomorrow, May 2, 2019, for the coronation of the King. But I'll have to go later in the summer. Long live Thailand and the Thai people -- the best people on Earth.

    I also suggest change original suspension for YSS gas ones. Im also add front fork stabilizer. All together about 6000b cost. Then you have a very smooth travel. specially if you drive all day is super helpful! if you have a chance to change for more wide tire is also good

    I think I missed it, but how many cc is it? I'm in the USA, but have lived for quite sometime in the Philippines. I've noticed that in a lot of states people don't have as much love for scooter riders than they do for motorcycles. I have a car and have had other Chinese scooters.

  • @TheVagabondman
    @TheVagabondman 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great review. Forza looks great in black. It only comes in an ugly orangey red here in the states. Never been to Thailand, but lived in Taiwan for awhile. Miss the huge selection of scooters there. Here in the states pickings are slim.

    • @Tradingtraveler
      @Tradingtraveler  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha that is for sure, we do not have a shortage of scooters here!
      It's a shame they do not offer Forzas in more colors. Prior to living here, I don't think I would have ever of considered owning a scooter in the states, but after owning this, my minds completely changed. Maybe this calls for a custom paint job!

    Picking up one of these things either tomorrow or early next week. Even though I don't ride 2up, I have heard that I will still want to change those rear shocks (don't know if I want to wait until the warranty is expired or not though). Not a fan of combined breaking either, however the reviews and literature that I read was that it is linked to using the rear brake not the front, so I should be good there as I rarely use my rear brake unless it's a panic stop. Great vid, thanks for the info.

    • @Tradingtraveler
      @Tradingtraveler  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. If you have the spare change to spend on the rear shocks, I'd say go ahead and replace them. However, riding with just one rider, you likely will not have any issues. Therefore, maybe ride it for at least a few weeks and see how it feels to you. I have a few friends that have the YSS shocks though and they swear by them!

    • @olegyd
      @olegyd 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Trading Traveler YSS shock a very good. I also suggest change original tyredls. I out Pirelli Diablo 150 a bit biger then original dunlop 140 and is feels like a new bike. I can go easly 130 140 and still feel very. smooth… with original shock and tyred in thay speef you feel very uncomfortable… also I change windshield for tall one and now touring around a Thailand very smoothly

    Are you planning to get the larger windscreen? Thinking about getting a Forza 300 as well in a few months time figuring it's probably worth the extra money over the PCX150.

    • @Tradingtraveler
      @Tradingtraveler  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I have looked into a larger windscreen. I have a friend who has a gigantic windscreen on his PCX 150 and couldn't imagine riding without it. He loves it. I will probably get one before my next big trip. If you will be doing any long distance riding, or riding with two passengers, I'd say the Forza is definitely worth the extra money.

    Hi. How's running in 100-110 kph does it vibrates or just smooth.? I have click 125 and whenever i go around 100 kph my bike starts to vibrate. I'm planning to buy Forza 300 this year to travel outside Bangkok.. thanks for reply..

      We regularly ran 100 when we would drive from Chiang Mai to Khon Kaen. I felt comfortable, even when riding two-up.

    Been riding the PCX for the past 5 years in Bangkok and thinking to get the Forza. Have you driven it in thick BKK traffic (rush hour) traffic? Is it easy to go between the cars? With the PCX it's no problem. The mirrors of the PCX go above regular cars but are on the same hight as pickup trucks. How about the Forza?

    • @andbkk

  • @baanfmc
    @baanfmc 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello I need some advices : I actually own a pcx 150 and I am short, 164 cm or 5ft 4".. I waas wondering if the forza would be ok for me? I really like it

    • @Tradingtraveler
      @Tradingtraveler  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Tony,
      I think you'll be fine. The scooter doesn't sit that high off the ground, and the floor boards go back a good ways. If you can ride the PCX with no problem, the Forza should not be an issue. Though, it is significantly heavier than a PCX and not as easy to turn around/back up. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    I went and looked at a forza at the dealer sat on one I am 6'. tall it did not seem like there is leg room to stretch out, maybe 5' 8" or shorter might be comfortable, i may be wrong, but it look like it is more for the height challangered

    • @Tradingtraveler
      @Tradingtraveler  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Gary,
      I am 6' as well, and although I can't completely kick my legs straight out, the Forza is still a very comfortable ride. I find when we get going on the highway I will put my heels in the corner of the floorboard, and this allows me to stretch out as much as possible. Nonetheless, you're right it's still a scooter, but for the price does the job in terms of comfort vs cost. You might want to rent one to try it out for yourself. I did this for 2 days mostly so I could see how it handled in the mountains with two people. There are many places in Chiang Mai and other larger Thailand cities that rent them, if you happen to be in Thailand.

      I just was in bkk heavy traffic with my Forza and ni problem at all. but if you plan drive only in bkk I don't think you need buy forza. most of the time there bo speed time for forza in traffic and 300cc will eat much more gasoline as pcx. but if you plan to go out of town then your forza will be good.

    I just wish my Helix had a 300 in it so I could stick with the trunk program and be comfortable riding it. Here in the states we have big American pot holes not to mentionr we made the Vietnamese potholes what they are today. Time for Harley to make an American scooter we all fit on.
