      At 1800 miles it shouldn't need parts replaced, unless Hondas wear out that fast. The make some decent motorcycles, but I have ahead 4 Honda Scooters, none were impressive, 2004 Honda Reflex fuel injected NSS, water leaks, oil leaks, a 2007 Reflex was ok, but didn't keep it long. A 2014 Forza, the Forza to me was a disastrous attempt at updating the Reflex, and I had a Silverwing 600. At 22000 miles the engine on the Silverwing developed a bad main bearing knock. Experience is the best teacher. My experience tells me there are much better scooters than anything Honda makes.

    I rode one in Thailand while I was living there. Probably the most practical vehicle ever. Has good acceleration off the line, and despite it’s size, it does fairly well filtering in Bangkok traffic. Also, it is a good bike to have with passengers. Speaking of which, I was able to carry 3 passengers at once on it once (myself, my wife, my friend, and his girlfriend).

      How did they all fit at the same time? 😅 I wonder if the ride was a stressful one

    • @RealPolitik-dy4it
      @RealPolitik-dy4it ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jaxd7206 I scooted up a bit. My wife sat right behind me. My friend’s gf sat towards the front of the passengers seat (on the hump), and he sat all of the way at the back. We were only going like 3 miles, at 30 mph. It was a bit uncomfortable, but not too stressful when we got going.

    Ive had this for almost two years now, riding in NYC parking on the street year round. Riding it hard, full throttle always, highways, road like the surface of the moon, lowlifes trying to steal it unsuccessfully. Got with 2k Put 4k miles but im surprised it still alive. Front bearings are shot, probably needs valves adjusted. Will give updates

    This Forza is much better build quality than the new ones, the new ones are much lighter because it’s used for 300 350 and has to be light for the 125 engine,
    This model was made to use a 300cc engine, they are solid like a huge pcx

      My favorite highway cruiser was a Piaggio BV250. Smooth, strong and the seat reached peak discomfort early and never got worse. I could ride all day and feel fine at the end.
      The Burgman 400 was more powerful, but the misery just kept building. By the end of the day I was thinking, "It's only another 50 miles. I can push the bike that far."

      It rode well and had a huge under seat bay, but I did my own maintenance, and everything I did involved massive surgery to get to the parts.
      To replace the dash lights, I had to pull the panel off below the engine, then disassemble the leg shields. Continuing forward, the front fairing and windshield come off, then I can disassemble the dash panel and remove the instrument cluster.
      On the Helix, when a dash light burnt out I pulled off the instrument panel. Period.
      Adjusting the valves on the Burgman involved stripping the upper engine cover off, disassembling the intake manifold and removing the valve cover. On the Helix I had to pull the seat off (one screw) and turn the engine to top dead center, then turn the cam adjustment on the outside of the engine.
      Plus, the Burgman had a smaller cockpit than the Helix, so my legs were a bit cramped on long trips.
      It was a decent scooter, but there were a host of little annoyances.

      @dennist7235 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nemanja thanks for the response. I’m looking for like a commuter, for daily commute to school and work. I live in NJ. I’m 17 at the moment and am saving up. Budget possibly $3000, what are some good entry level scooters for my height? Also what are the benefits of riding a scooter? I want to learn to ride a scooter until I make a decent amount of money then purchase a car.

    • @nemanjatosovic
      @nemanjatosovic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@dennist7235 learning takes only 10-15 minutes. once you get a hang of the throttle, you are good to go.
      few things to consider, 50cc scooters dont require a license. you can choose from many if you have 3k to spend, but i would not recommend a 50cc as they are slow.
      your best bet is a 150cc or something between 150 and 300cc.
      50cc usually get about 100 mpg but only go up to 35-40 miles per hour.
      150cc can get up to 100 mpg as well (80 avg) but go as fast as 65-70
      300cc get about 65-75mpg but can go well above the speed limit, 85-90 mph.
      also, the bigger the engne the bigger the bike, in most cases.
      if you want to buy new, your best bet is a Kymco Like 150 (starting price is right at 3k) when you buy new you get a warranty and unlimited milage coverage.
      Kymco is a Taiwanese scooter maker and one of the best in the world, they make scooters for BMW and Kawasaki and made engines for Honda.
      Like 150i is fule injected and goes about 60-65 mph while getting about 80mpg. good storage, easy to ride and looks very nice.
      Another great choice is a Honda Pcx 150, they start at $3600 are a bit bigger and very popular around the world. they can go up tp. 70 mph and get 100 mpg.
      Yamaha sells the smax which is a little under 4k but is most powerful.
      Other good choices are, Piaggio Beverly 150, Genuine Hooligan, Genuine Buddy, Kymco Agility 125... Other ok choices are any 150 from Lance.
      Vespa is also a good option but they are very pricey.
      If you want someting bigger, Honda Forza like one in this video is a good choice, they are around 2500-3500 in good shape with low miles, Kymco Downtown 300i is a great choice, Yamaha XMax 300 is also amazing but a bit pricy...
      Overall, scooters are easy to ride and park, pretty easy to maintain on your own and unlike a traditional bike, offer storage under the seat.
      They make great commuters. It all depends what matters to you the most, I think if you are not looking to take your scooter on super long journeys, and dont need to go over 60mph, the Kymco Like 150 and Honda PCX are your best options.
      If you do want to go faster, Kymco Downtown 300i, SUzuki Burgman 200, Yamaha XMax and Honda Forza are all good choices.

    • @dennist7235
      @dennist7235 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nemanja Hi, thanks for the response! Yes I agree I’m think of a 150cc or above. You think all those seats will be comfortable? I saw a kymco downtown for about $2500 on CycleTrader but am afraid of me being too tall. There’s so much option I’m interested right now but yeah Kymco or Honda pcx is a good choice for a beginner like me. Also, is it easy to carry it up if you do drop it? I’m scared those big scooters are really heavy like the forza which is 3 times my weight.

    • @nemanjatosovic
      @nemanjatosovic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dennist7235 I have a Kymco Downtown and did a video on it. I love it, it is so fast and reliable but, I do not like the seat. For around town it is fine, but for longer journies not so much.
      Most bigger scooters are around 350 or so pounds and smaller ones around 250, they are easy to control and you can easily lift it if its down on its side.
      Where do you plan to use it mostly? Maybe an older 2013-14 Yamaha Zuma or Smax would be perfect. The Smax is pretty fast, will go up to 70mph and has a great seating position.

    Overpriced underpowered gets lousy gas milage if you go anywhere near interstate speeds. Mine only does 76mph wide open with a tail wind. Those who think the Forza is so great are either being paid by Honda or have not ridden it a comparable Kymco like the 300 GTI people or a Downtown 300i. And last but not least the Forza has a serious "death wobble. Honda should hang it's head in shame.
