for the people that really know about f1, this is the best podcast in youtube.
.. quite correct, it’s best kept secret. Only 43K subs. is crazy, however this is the first time here for me. I’m now a member of the 43K.
I second that! Really nice and respectful people! And very knowledgeable. They've been around a few times!
A scottish, an irish, and an italian with german accent... if you want to learn to understand english you've come to the right place! :D
Walked into a bar….oh wait, wrong comment
funnily enough, i was just recorrding and transcribing and it hates me, apparantly one of the trickiest accents to understand for ai haha
Lol right this episode is definitely hard mode for non-native English speakers 😂
aye
Sounds Dutch to me
Love this channel. Guenther is an absolute star as well as being extremely humble!
DC & Eddie interview Ron Dennis please!
What a trio. Love these guys!
Guenther Steiner-Rockstar! What a great man and a great outlook on the world.
Keep it going guys. You've got a really informative, interesting and humorous podcast. Thank you !
😂 best bodcast right now❤
3 great gentlemen of F1. Loved the discussion.
team principals and entertainers. legends together.
Thanks, gentlemen. It's a privilege to be able to listen in
This is great fun....HOW ABOUT GETTING Jacki Stewart???
too old now....
@@CosmicSeeker69What do you mean “too old?” He’s still coming to races regularly. What would stop him appearing on a podcast?
This must be a fun one....thanks for what looks like a wonderfull conversations
Great stuff, I really enjoy this channel, thank you !!
I think Andretti should hire Steiner to work on Liberty to get Andretti in
if I was going to chose - I'd take Jordan.....he's got more contacts than Microsoft
I could listen to all you guys all day. Amazing episode! 👏 ❤
the three best personalities in F1 . Love this channel guys, keep it up
Again guys…amazing podcast 👍🍻
Another great interview and insight in the life of F1
I enjoyed that Günther actually was talking about literal shades of gray later in the video.
And regarding Lauda and being outspoken, a thing that he had on his side is that he was probably the most famous and most liked motorsports person in the German speaking world*, besides being an absolute legend and respected in the world of F1. Every second Lauda was on camera with a little Merzedes symbol in the corner was good for the brand. It's weird because he's from Austria but in Germany (at least in my Family and circles) Lauda was up there with the likes Beckenbauer and Gerd Müller.
*besides Schumacher, obviously
Love this stuff.😊
Great man , so down to earth 🌎 Eddie and him hopping of each other , brilliant ❤❤
Drive to Survive may have brought in a lot of viewers. But the bile that a lot of them spout online is shocking. There seems to be a huge new cohort of viewers, devoid of any knowledge of F1 pre-2021 and who were attracted to the off track fake drama that show emphasised.
Don't know, the bile that was directed at Vettel 2010-2014 was shocking, same with alonso in 2007 even from his team principal, to a lesser extent with Hamilton, especially in 2011. Michael was absolutely hated by the English for about 15 years but there was far less social media even in 2003.
Funny thing is everyone idolises Senna, but if any of today's drivers done or said half of what he did the outrage would be off the charts 😂
Love this podcast!!!
Outstanding !!
These guys are perfect - they should start an F1 team...
So many wise words!!!!
Finally!
I’ve seen more trailers for this video than Star Wars! 😅
Great work as always guys!
Used to have a couple Thunder 2300 and 2160's way back in the day. They were always great amps!
Absolutely top podcast so so funny
Here it is. The f1 podcast/interview/whatever you’ve all been waiting for!
Who is the most fiery team principal ever in F1? 🔥
Toto...bad looser smashing headphones mood ;) ...Wolff.....now Gunter is not a part of the padock anymore ;)
There was a German team owner in the late 80s or early 90s who shot someone, but I can't remember his name. I'd say that was pretty... fiery!
Flávio Briatore.
alain prost if you consider inside flame ^^ and more generally any former driver, but alain was the most successful one to became a team principal. tough question, you should pin your question to get more replies dudes.
also abiteboul managed to piss off horner, which is not easy.
50 shades of Gunther lmao :D:D:D
Gunter ‘Foksmash’ Steiner
i really hope they will get Jacques Villeneuve to guest on their podcast, it would be absolutely epic!
Legend
Have a lot of time for him. Hard to work for somebody who’s more interested in advertising tools on the side of the car, then actually having a competitive car.
EJ started stealing cars :) What an opened and friendly trio. Truly kind and simple people. My people. My family. F1 forever.
Formula for a laugh
And a great one at that! ❤
Top channel . Definitely subscribe . 😊
Andretti need to sow that they will bring something to the table, it has to generate extra revenue, as simple as that really.. Newman/Haas, now that was a team n half :)
The thumbnail for this video reminds me of Jaws.
FFS with Guenther Steiner....😂
Considering how comfortable David seems with life, the universe and stuff, I would love to know if he would swap that for a world championship and how he thinks it would have affected future Mr Coulthard if he had?
Media mogul and would seem a nice bloke!
If you are ever near Shobdon, drinks on me
EJ, you need to bring Christian next time to the podcast
The next Top Gear trio
you must get the (uncensored) 1980 world champion Alan Jones . AJ is the perfect fit for Formula for Success he the best on Beyond the Grid
Guenther, calling a Spade a Spade 😎😎👍
Wasnt this uploaded last week?
Eddie have any RORY GALLAGHER stories?????????????????? Thanks.
It’s two sweary former team principals for the price of one on this week’s FFS Edmund Patrick Jordan, OBE -born 30 March 1948 ARIES. Guenther Steiner -born 7 April 1965 ARIES David Coulthard - born on March 27, 1971 ARIES
Interesting. Makes you wonder whether Malcom Gladwell's thesis in Tipping Point applies: kids born early in the year tend to do a little better than those born later. So they get more support, adulation, opportunity, and promotion by their teachers and coaches (I am paraphrasing a brilliant man's writings, so please forgive any misstatements). This happens because kids are changing at such a fast pace - their rate of maturation is off the charts, so a few months of additional age can make a really big difference in their skills/performance. EJ, DC, and GS were all born in the first quarter of the year. Anyway, they are wonderful guys and I can't thank them enough for their contribution.
'He does not fok smash my podcast!'
Take it from Gunther, don’t try to hide from Uncle Sam…😂
The likes of DC will always be one sided when it comes to formula one because he was never a world champion and he don't want to upset the powers above.
Just take the shambles with Lewis and Max where everyone in the rules were fixed on that day but not many high profile punters said so.
The growl must stay. No point in discussion as Gunther said.
BREAKING NEWS: Steiner rejoins Haas and signs Frentzen for 2025
In the future if we are going to make the armed forces worthwhile things are going to have to improve. In WW1 generals were hundreds of miles away from people being asked to sacrifice themselves for no good reason. In future people will have to be given a task and told to get on with it without interference. I have encountered a few senior armed forces people and they seem stupid. A wing commander who doesn't know how to use seat belts in the cockpit for example yet everyone follows their instructions. This is a fault of the basic soldiers as well as the generals.
An F1 equivalent would be for a leader to give the task of servicing a car in 2 seconds without any input. The engineers would then have to be able to say to the leader 'keep out of it; you don't know anything about it'. RSM Slack, in my life, would not have taken well to me telling him that!
😴😴😴
Eurovision has become a narcissistic clown show.
The two biggest a’holes of F1 on the same episode - wow!
They got you. Bet the social engineering made you woke too
@@03056932 is that English? I literally have NO idea what you are talking about?!
Unpopular opinion but Gunther Steiner was simply out of his depth as team principal. The haas results bear witness to it.
Bluntly, He doesn’t have an outstanding engineering talent and his management style is simply chaotic “do as I say” “I’m a straight talker” etc etc. Great for TV but not for getting technical change and buy-in.
That’s ok if you’re Colin Chapman. He’s nowhere close
He a one trick pony: a media gem
Unless we got to see the day-to-day running of an F1 team, especially a modern one, its really difficult to say especially as pretty much everyone will have never have run one.
But yes, Haas' results simply were not good enough, but problems are rarely just one person, especially in this type of environment. If Gunther was the problem, then Gene is also a problem for keeping him in the role for so long...
@@3rdStoreyChemistGunther knew that the limitations of Haas was lack of funding from Gene. Gunther was in some ways suffering by seeing other teams like Williams as James their team principal keeps saying has invested millions into their foundations of how they build F1 cars. Gene for whatever reason. Hasn't.
The Haas you see driving now, was designed last year. Lets wait for the updates.
Please get Montoya!
