With me washing my hair less when relaxed for example this might sound gross to some of you but I wash my relaxed hair probably 3 times a month and my hair has become healthy, but when I used to wash it once a week my hair would be so unhealthy and thin but it depends on how you do your hair regimen just go with what’s best for you no need to follow just because others tell you that’s good for you.
@Grind-n-Find you should try the Design Essentials Honey Creme Moisture Retention Super Detangling Conditioning Shampoo. I swear I could wash my hair with that everyday and it still wouldnt strip my hair lol. It's an absolute staple.
I agree with this. I sweat alot too and had no idea that it was drying my scalp, itchy scalp until my stylist told me it's not good to wait 2 weeks and wash. Now I shampoo once a week and my hair is really thriving
Hey ladies! I hope you all enjoyed watching this video. I just want to add that since the hot oil treatment made my hair stiff. I will probably not do that or do it a day or two before my wash day. ❤️
Hey Tiffany, you are off to a great start. However, since your hair is getting longer, you must deep condition once a week. You will be doing your ends a big favor, because that is the way you can retain length is by keeping your ends highly moisturized. Lastly, please shampoo all of your hair, down to the ends to get rid of product buildup. And be sure to clarify your hair and do a monthly protein treatment. This will up your hair game and make your hair grow to your waist or tail bone. You can do it my Sister!!!
Your hair looks great. I use a lot of products so once a week, I shampoo my scalp twice as well as the length of my hair. Products also build up on hair strands, and (at least for me) if it’s not removed, even deep conditioning won’t effectively penetrate the cuticles. My hair will end up dull and dry. Sometimes I use a regular shampoo and then a cowash. I deep condition after every shampoo.
IMO hair should be washed at least once a week. Just imagine how dirty the hair gets when left longer. I used to struggle on wash day with natural hair but relaxed hair is so easy that wash days are a breeze. Takes 1h to 1h30 max. I switch between deep condition and just condition depending on how my hair looks and feels.
With my natural hair, I was washing once a month💀...I want to use a relaxer on my hair now...but I think I'll wash every two weeks cause my scalp don't itch. I even go two months without washing sometimes..I always think about wash day and it sucks! So I'm leaving the natural hair community soon🤣
Wash days do suck with natural hair! Haha wow I can’t believe you can go that long. I could do every 3 weeks not sure if I made it through a whole month though lol good luck on your relaxed hair journey !
You need to treat your hair like a flower, detangle gentle, don’t pull your hair apart like that, soon you will see your hair very thin, also it’s best to wash all your hair with shampoo so when you deep condition the cuticles are clean to absorb the nutrients.Trybwashing every two weeks while in between washes you moisturize your hair every 2 to 3 days Best use large tooth comb, your hair will get thicker
Hello. From a moisture standpoint, Kera Care Hydrating detangling shampoo works well for me and their humecto conditioner is great for deep conditioning. I wash & deep condition my hair every two weeks. I also use a clarifying shampoo to remove build up maybe once a month or every other month just depending on my hair(follow it w/a moisturizing shampoo as it can be drying to the hair) Listen to your hair. Hope this helps.
@@TiffanyAndrea You're welcome. I don't remember if you said in your video- is there a reason why you only shampoo your scalp and not the hair strands? If you decide to clarify, I'd suggest to wash the strands too in order to remove any build-up from them as well as your scalp. Build-up can keep your other products from penetrating and working properly. I'd also do a moisturizing deep conditioner afterwards.
I have a 15yr old daughter she has a relaxed hair it reaches her back a little and its healthy since i monitor her and makes sure she relaxes every three months. She has some bullies at school one with relaxed hair too eho usually makes fun of her whenever she stretches her hair for length retaining. But I'm not really surprised since her relaxed hair is very damaged.
@@TiffanyAndrea during stretching I usually do protective styles and do more hands on treatments on wash days. Since I'm a little worried it could cause breakage and damage if her hair was re-relaxed while doing it.
I noticed you said that your hair didn’t have as much body this time around so I suggest that you do your hot oil treatment before you wash so all the oils are washed out
Have you considered something could be triggering the dryness with your diet. Also the shampoo you're using is actually moisturising rather than cleansing so it's not actually clearing the dirt and oil build up.There are different shampoos that do different things(Chelating, Strengthening , Moisturising etc).So it would be good to use a dry scalp shampoo and follow up with a moisturising shampoo to balance out the effects.
Nexxus humectress is amazing conditioner! Tons of slip and very moisturizing! Generic Paul Mitchell Tea tree shampoo from sallys 😍😍😍 for scalp health! I also like eden peppermint tea tree oil!
@@TiffanyAndrea The peppermint shampoo is really good. Do not get it in your eyes. They did not skimp on the peppermint. We wash three times just to be sure that nothing else is on/in our hair and scalp since the women in my family have extra kinky hair that seems to repel water smh.
I think it’s recommended to do it like every 2 weeks especially if you have dry hair. But since I’ve been moisturizing and sealing my hair it’s never dry.
The scalp is constantly producing and coating itself with sebum, so shampooing twice, one day each week, isn’t hurting anyone. Unless someone has a serious scalp issue that drastically reduces their sebum production, the scalp will not be dry.
hi Tiffany your I enjoy watching your videos, they are very helpful how I wish you would gift me with the hair products you use on my birthday 🤣 I can't afford them.

I could do that when my hair was in its natural state but now that does not work for me lol
I wash my hair like 2 times per month.over washing strips your hair, don't follow most of these youtubers being extra just to make a video.
my sebboric dermatitis would cry
