Gold axes are not useless in Minecraft. They are used commonly in speed runs because they break wood faster than iron and diamond axes, even though iron is more common than gold.
The biggest issue I have with the Gold axe is that you can only get it with upgrading an Axe and not a stone Axe so using it means you have to destroy the tree. It'd be nice for a something like a Fools Gold Axe that doesn't destroy the tree.
protip: if you don"t want to break the tree hit it twice, wait a while then hit it again for the third piece of wood, it takes a little longer but works fine if you don't want to break tree's
Dude! I love the little tips like “Stand behind the tree since it makes you face the camera when the text pops up.” So simple yet it’s not soemthing I would have instantly thought about.
So golden Axe still breaks. instead of 100 swing like the iron axe, Golden axe can take 200ish. Each gold nugget can be sold for 10000 bells, while each iron nugget is only 375 bells. Iron nugget can be obtained in every rock. It would be easier to craft a new one on site. There is no reason to upgrade unless you are done saving bells.
Haha ! 10k bells at the Nook Shop, really ? I didn't checked but there's a good number of people ready to pay up to 150k the gold ore. I sold 2 for 200k to someone.
@@Chunkletier every other animal crossing game has had unbreakable tools. I personally like the fact that the first tools break but the gold ones are hard enough to get that they should not be breakable. Like how in botw the last sword doesn't ever fully break

Step 7. Craft your golden axe. Step 8. Lye on your bed for 15 hours straight because it’s useless. Peace

The Gold tools never break if you're a non-leader in local play. It drops to 1 in durability once you exhaust it though as a non-leader and will break if you attempt to use it as the leader. I tested this with my sister.

I counted, it took me 13 axes to get all the trees on my island, about an hour chopping and collecting. I got a gold axe a week later, and tons of wood to craft and sell. I think its a better way.
This might be a myth but I’ve heard that the gold fishing rod makes the fish stay longer after a bite, giving you longer time to react, and I’ve heard that the Golden net has a bigger hit box, allowing you get bugs from farther away.
Making tools helps with a certain nook mile reward. So I think making them is better then buying. Sure you save time just for getting the axe but loses time on other achievments. Why miss out on other achievements when you don't have too.
I agree, all gold tools are worthless, except the golden watering can for golden roses. At best, gold tools are with 3x metal tools, but gold is so rare that it is not worth the upgrade.
The only tool worth working for is the golden watering can (get a five star rating in isabelle’s island evals), as using the gold watering can is the only way to create a special golden hybrid flower.
Would the combination of breaking axes matter? For example, if I break 10 flimsy axes and 20 stone axes from normal gameplay, would that count towards breaking 100 axes all together?

Just get a auto clicker spam on the flimsy axes till your inventory is full,then spam on some trees till you get the diy recipe ,then dig 2 holes behind and In front of the rock,then spam the rock till you find a gold nugget it’s another way and it saves your thumbs from having terrible aches, You’re welcome

I rarely cut down trees on my home island, so I can't show off the gold axe with visitors over. I can use the other tools with visitors over, but I feel that the gold axe is a waste of a gold nugget…
@@TheTozotube I wish there was a soft golden axe - a counterpart, like the stone axe is to the axe. The stone axe lasts longer than the flimsy axe; but like the flimsy axe, it can't cut down trees. I initially thought the stone axe could cut down trees if I ate fruit first, since it would mean I didn't need both an axe and a stone axe if I wanted to harvest several trees, but only cut down one. However I was recently proven wrong when I got a Nook Miles… quest? to cut down a tree. I ended up having to collect 5 branches, and a stone to craft a flimsy axe, and then hit a rock to get iron. I forgot if the recipe for axe needed wood, but I collected a few bundles anyway, and then made the axe. I had no Nook Miles, and all my bells were in the bank. I went to the mystery island after buying two fence recipes to take down the tree. I had a stone axe, a net, and a few bugs. My other Nook Miles… quests? where for buying and selling stuff (in this case I needed to sell 'trash bags' or 'aires rocking chair', or shells (which I had maybe two on the beach at the time)). The buying quest I tend to ignore, since I'm saving up for and spending bells on moving structures around so I can modify my rivers and mountains. I wish crafting was an option, not a requirement. Like it doesn't even feel worth it to put the work in for the gold tools to just break. And they don't last as long as they should like they still break kind of fast if you use them a lot. One of my only complaints with the game.

Gold watering can is used to create gold roses by breeding black roses, no other watering can is able to do this.
Do I have to use the axes or just buy and then throw them out rinse and repeat until I get the recipe or nah?
Maybe when you chop down a tree with the gold axe, you are more likely to get a tree stump with shapes.... that spawns rare insects 🤷🏾♂️?
