Wonder if you change the house side plug with a small riser pipe and at the top you add a water alarm . If the pipe plugs up a alarm will sound letting home owner to call NYDrains to come and clear berfore a flood.
I do recommend water alarms in certain situations 😉

Well you've got a lot of catching up to do!
That has to be the most poop explosion in a bathroom yet. And yeah it was a toilet paper party in the poop bathroom being the host of that event. Actually a rare non-trap removal explosion...and more rare one where it's way into the intake pipe.....but man you knew when you started digging in that, it was go.....kind of. This was a thick lava mess river at first but once you really chewed into that it was a solid gusher. One thing for sure is even if this wasn't a trap issue, this was soon to be clogged by the roots.

How do you prevent soap scum from building up in the pipes?
Preventive maintenance is usually the key.
I'm thinking that this problem did not just pop up overnight. Wouldn't the homeowner have seen signs of trouble brewing before the poop explosion? I believe that many of your cusromers ignore stuff until it's too late--lucky for you and lucky for we who enjoy these videos!

The majority of the time when the sewer is backing up in the bath tub it's mostly paper and poop stuck in the drain.
