This one was like trying to solve a mystery. I was worried we might have to have a Part 2 before we got it solved. As always, an engaging video 😊.
Glad you enjoyed the suspense! 👍
You did good filming this one, Donald..
Thanks Carsten 👍
Just proof that clean-out and service access are a GOOD thing to have in your plumbing.
💯
Hey Donald, I've been following you for a couple of years now. Haven't seen every video, but I've watched pretty regularly since I started, and I don't think I've ever seen you pull a toilet - you always go straight for the trap. Awesome video, man! Keep up the great work. Have a great day, bro.
It happened a few times on video, too many times to count off video, but I'll pull a toilet if there is no other way or dont have a choice. Thanks for your support Jason! Much appreciated 🙏
Definitely a new approach, forced by hidden or inaccessible trap, very clever on seeing blade being polished by trap entrance 👏.
Good old wipes, and silk purses.
Great drone outro.
Thanks John 👍
Way to go above and beyond, Donald. You had to go the hard way this time to get _🎼flowing like a river.🎼_ 😄
Lol, thanks Garrett, FLAR 👍
That was a job that kept on giving. Crawlspace, nails, wipes, condoms, needing two different types of claw (thanks for the explanation, Don!!!). You had to work hard on that one. Nice sunset on the closing video though !!!
It sure was a tough one Hugh, thanks 👍
Hi How many times have you heard " we dont use wipes "... Well someone does..Hope they get everything sorted. Great job, you perservere til the end, awesome work ethics..Loved the sunset, beautiful. Stay Safe from a Tasmanian ❤️🙏👍🤗
Too many Cheryle 😆 thanks 👍
It could have been a guest who used them without it being obvious they brought them.
Nice job on this challenging clog. Man, I’m glad you saw those nails in that crawl space.
You and me both! Thanks 👍
Nice job young man. Those toilets are pretty heavy, some are 90= pounds. I lifted one myself years ago when replacing an old one, almost got a hernia. The drone video at the end was a nice touch. Thanks and God bless.
They really are! Thanks for watching Mario 👍
Always a pleasure to go an adventure with you Donald.
Same here A.s 🙏
Wow that took a few tryst just to get the snake to the attended clog. It sounds like it's a really old drain system. Awesome job Donald Blessings to you and yours 🗽🍎🐀🌽🙏🦺🧤🤗
It sure was struggling to clear. Thanks again Kimberly 👍
That view of the Manhattan in the background towards the end of the video was awesome!
Glad you enjoyed 👍
We haven't seen you pull a toilet in ages ....well done ❤❤❤❤❤
Lol, thanks Steve 👍
"No we don't use wipes" You could make a compilation at this of everyone who has said that.
Well done Donald, Cheers for the video mate.
Lol, cheers Milhouse 🍻
To be fair, a guest could have brought them without it being obvious.
This was a real risky one. Trying to go around that trap at the start is a good way to get your line stuck
Thank goodness we didn't!
Who do I call to insist you get a raise, Donald?!?! You never cease to amaze me!! Great Job & Great Video!! ✌️🏳️🌈✌️
Lol, thanks Bryan. Hope all is well 🙏
Hi Donald 👋 another great job as usual love the view at the end 😊
👋 glad you enjoyed, thanks again Deborah 🙏
Brilliant job Donald 🤩
Thanks Sharon 👍
Nice one! Persistence paid off and it was "all good" in the end! 👍
Thanks 👍
Flowing like a river, i thought you wouldn't get it, took a long time. Good work Donald.
It sure took a long time to flow like a river! Thanks Samuel 👍
I like the random tv at the far back end. Awesome Ariel view. Thank you
Thanks Kimberly 👍
Nice view of Sunrise Highway. You can see Kennedy Tower on the left horizon.
Donald, this job puts you in the PRO category for sure
Thanks Joe 🫡
Nice job Donald. The drone footage is awesome!
Thanks Fire 🫡
Once again I am amazed with your skills my friend. YOU ARE AWESOME!!! I pray for your health and safety daily 👍🏼😉
Thanks for the comment 🫡
I can't believe how flat it is there. Awesome drone work.
Thanks 😉👍
Nice drone work Don, you are an artist.
Thanks for the comment Darrell 👍
I cant belive your still uploading i love your videos so much❤
Never stopped! Seems like you have a lot of catching up to do 😉
That truly is a water closet! 🤣🤣
Lol
That was a tough one. Great job Donald!
It sure was Amy, thanks 👍
Top of the Monday to you Donald, it's a long time i haven't seen you had to pull a toklet.Great wirk as usual brother, remain safe.
And the rest of the day to you Patrick, thanks 👍
Exellent video!! It has crawl space danger, and a good chance of getting stuck. Good sky footage of Gotham City 😅
Lol, thanks David 👍
Helluva fight on that one! 💪💪💪
💪😎👍
Now that was a mission Donald! Worried it was going to get stuck at one point
It sure was Sweetpeaz 😉👍
Nice flyover. Good music
Thanks 👍
Way to stick with it Donald 👍 I hope they get someone to add a clean out soon.
Thanks Ken👍wasn't too sure if they had a trap until I snaked it out. All they have to do now is dig it up on the other side of the foundation.
Retrieved a love glove
Lol, that's a good one 👍
This is the first rine ive ever seen him have to stick the snake down the toilet hole before 😂
I've done that and a few times! You have some catching up to do! 😉👍
A while ago you stated that Carsten had an EasyPeasy...this time you had the Tuff One. ..Cool as always. Love your Channel. Greetz from Krautland 😂
Thanks 👍
That was a good video ,where are those cap's? the big cap hunt lol , never seen that one before, still ny drain's don't give up that easy , well done Donald ! you got it sorted good job . Really great video ending with the N Y skyline ..
Lol, most likely just on the other side of the foundation, thanks Peter 👍
Hi Donald 😊❤ awesome job, great video ❤
👋 Nebojsa, thanks 👍
Luckily we don’t have traps like you do where I live, but we had no full-size clean out for the main sewer line (line is 6 inches, clean out in basement is 3 inches) and it cost me big bucks to have the line dug up and get one installed. Imagine someone having to dig up that trap would be expensive too. Good job!
🤯 thanks 👍
Wow! That was hard work. They better get a clean out, especially because they are flushing down wipes and condoms. Great video. I loved every part of it.
Glad you enjoyed Karen. They definitely have a clean-out. They just have to dig it up!
@ It looks like they’ll probably be digging to China. 😆❤️
@KarenRodriguez-bi7ft 😆
Wow. You’re a pro brother.
Thanks Andrew 🫡
nice job Donald👍
Thanks Rich 👍
You da man, Donald!! 🥳
Thanks Rhonda 🫡
stubborn clog persistence pays off
🫡
FLAR. Give the customer what they want. 😂
Lol FLAR 🫡
Valley Stream ? Keep going east towards me 😂
Yes 💯. Lol, working my way down 😉
2:29 Yikes.
Lol
Is there no building code that a trap always needs to be installed and accessible? You must have lost money on that job but you kept at it.
One thing I have learned from watching these home inspection videos on youtube is that most homes, both old an new, are built poorly. Even these older ones, it was like the wild west back then and even with the so called "code" today, you just need to pay off the right people to get past inspection.
Today you don't need a trap in most areas. Most everything Donald works on is more than 70 years old
I’m in NY and have no trap in my 50 year old house.
@ 50 years old is only back to 1975. Don't know the exact date, but they were required pre 1960 or so.
It is Code in NY to have a house trap, but I did have a few jobs that didn't have a trap 🤷♂️ in this case, there was definitely a trap, buried just on the other side of the foundation.
Nice man you did a good job
Thanks 👍
That was a challenging one. 👍 Deadly quality to the drone footage. Which drone?
Yes it was! Thanks, it's the DJI mini 4 pro
@@NYDRAINS Thank you.
dang, I don't know who's responsible for some of the items found, but I hope it's not a teenager taking advantage of mom and dad not being home on occasion.
FLAR
either way, the wipes were the root cause of the clog.
Lol 🤞 FLAR 👍
3:30 "That smells lovely"....well you were the one that decided to stir the poop mix up. :P Also I think in all the 260+ videos so far that is the first time you have shown off the trap jumper attachment like that and a no blade work around too. I am shocked that still grabbed the wipes too. Nice drone shots at the end too.
Now 2 things, IF that still didn't work what would have been the next step in the process? And also #2, I think the trap likely was at the 1:04 section in the L junction just away off the basement wall part under the concrete there OR under the 1:08 slab. My guess from how much line you let out it was under the the section close to the wall around the 1:04 part. There is a rise there it looks like where the caps could have been buried.
Lol, the trap was on the other side of the foundation outside. The next step would have been to expose the trap by digging it up. I had a pretty good idea where it was located. I believe I used the trap jumper in Clogged Drain #52. If I remember correctly, check it out. And the no blade was in Clogged Drain #122. Thanks 👍
@@NYDRAINS Whoa that was long ago then. I know I been around since the early 30s.
@MightyMuffins 💪😎👍
@@NYDRAINS Actually correction...since 18. I remember that was the one I remember coming across. :D
@MightyMuffins 😎 thanks for your support 🙏
Full Toilet. To crawl in the Foundation, and You can not Work. Then break up thr Toilet and Work with the Twist Drill in the Drain great Block, the Twist Drill come barely through the Block. Long hard Work before all run down. On the Spiral much Wet's. To build up the Toilet. Good Work. To last a Drohne light over the Down Thanks. 💪👍
Thanks Dorit 👍
Mystery, great video and solution.
Bro pulled the toilet like it was just a feather
💪😉👍
@ bro is a BODY BUILDER
Beautiful sunset with the city in the distance.
Where you at?
Valley stream. 👍
Take a guess on how many times you heard "we don't use wipes".
new drinking game!
Too many! Lol
Those of us across the country can only imagine what your city is like.
😉👍
Nice work. I'd love to know if they customer ever found out whether they have a clean-out access somewhere on the property.
Thanks, yes, they do, buried on the other side of the foundation.
Great job! What is that a view of (the skyline, not the inside of the pipe!)?
Thanks Cleopatra 👍 It was in Valley Stream.
every trick you know to punch that one out. If people stopped using wipes then half the plumbing companies would be out of business it seems.
Lol 😉👍
13:05 succesful gurgles!
😉👍
wow, that was a tough one. Couldn't find the trap? That toilet had no wax ring, Surprised it didn't leak. Did you put a wax ring down before reinstalling the toilet?
The trap was just on the other side of the foundation. The wax ring was stuck under the toilet, but yes, I added a new one 😉
You are so brave
💪😉👍
The customer needs to hire you to locate the p trap and expose it for servicing purposes so when you have to come back to unclog it you will have access to it.
I found the trap. It was on the other side of the foundation buried. They just have to dig it up Horace 🤞🤷♂️👍
Donald, YA DONE GOOD
Thanks Zalma 👍
How good does it feel when Ollie says "flowing like a rivah" in his aussie accent?
It feels and sounds awesome 👌 😎👍
Do you have the rigid camera with the locating wand or something like it? It would be nice to locate the trap and clean it from there. I know it’s only if the customer wants to spend more time and money. But it would be the best option for you and the customer.
The customer was very adamant about pulling the toilet because the last person there said they had no trap, couldn't really agree to that until I ran the snake a ran into the trap that was buried on the other side of the foundation. Yes, I do have a camera, but unfortunately, no locator, in this case, wasn't needed. Exposing that trap would be the best option. 👌
If that was Ollie, there'd be a hole drilled into that main and sealed with PVC / silicone afterward.
Lol 😉👍
Do you camera lines too? Be nice to see that in your videos 👍🏻
Yes I do, I did once in Clogged Drain #39
I am so glad I don't live in NYC as the sewage system in homes you visit is deplorably bad.
😉👍
They need Ollie to find the trap.
Lol 😉👍
Donald wouldnt using a drain camera have given you the exact distance to the clog in feet on video then you could roughly determin where the clean out might be buried .
Yes John, but the camera wouldn't have jumped the trap from so far away, it was way difficult to jump it with a snake, and the trap was 100% on the other side of the foundation buried and the clog was 15- 20 ft away from the trap.
Do you think someone had cut the vent pipe to get access to clear a previous blockage?
Depending on the mystery roots in the crawlspace with no clean-out, yes, that would make sense with the Fernico coupling on the bottom of the vent 😉
Are you thinking the trap is buried outside? That's a rough one!
Definitely 👍
Where did the end of the tool go?
He intentionally took it off to start Round 3. Rounds 1 & 2 could not bend thru 90 degree elbows with cutter attached.
What Doc said 😉
Whoa 😎✌🏻
👍🏻
😉👍
Goose butt cool
😉👍
Ive heard that a million times... "we dont use wipes."
😆
Is it illegal in New York State to NOT have a trap before entering city sewers? I hope you make a little extra money on these tough ones. They definitely need a trap in that crawl space for the next time
They did have a trap buried on the other side of the foundation. Some things do cost extra 😉
Why wasn’t there a service trap in that property? 🤔
It was buried on the other side of the foundation outside for whatever reason 🤦♂️
@ isn’t it your job to unbury the service trap so that you can access it?
Yes, but some things do cost extra that many customers are not willing to cough up, and she was going off of the last person that was there, which told her to go from the toilet. So I can only do what the customer wants, regardless of what I want or know.
all that and im guessing thr customer didnt want to pay you to see-snake it and see whats in the pipes and learn how far out the trap is... would a jetter jump the trap or get stuck?
From that far away, it would be very difficult to jump the trap, and no camera needed, 100% the trap is on the other side of the foundation buried. But if the camera was an option, I doubt it 😉
you need a camera with locating ability!
😉👍
