Omni-Man decimating the flaxens, with that red filter and the song and the shots....definitely one of the coolest sequences in any superhero show or film to date.
Fun fact: decimating originally meant getting rid of 10%, which is a lot but not extinction level, which is what seemed to be implied in the scene. Obliterating has the same feel and comes from completely erasing something (originally the written word, but expanded further as time went on)

Yeah I’m hype we really haven’t even seen Omni man get pressed to a point where he’s hella damaged so I don’t think we’ve seen close to his full power yet

3:35 I can't tell if she actually believes Omni will just discipline them with a verbal warning. Or is being sarcastic and knows he's gonna wipe the entire race out
She's probably being sarcastic but realistically knows he's destroying things. She probably thinks it's on a much lesser scale and not to the extent of near extincting a species

The reflex nature which he take down the vital points of their world with at 4:16 should have been alarming to the viewers. He was trained at it. Or worse, he did that many times.
The fact that the first time u see this scene, and omniman says "earth isn't your to conquer" thinking that is a normal hero phrase or something like that, but after the second time u see the scene and remember that viltrumites are the ones to conquer earth shows how really well done this series is
“Dad saved us from the Flaxans but he went into one of their portals” “Oh, so he’ll be late for dinner?” Pffffft I love how calm she was, like “Oh I see, so it’s just another day?”
I just realized. If Omni man was more cynical then he is now, he could have easily taken mark to the Flaxan dimension to train since their time moves exceedingly quickly.
3:41-4:34 If all that destruction was caused by *one* Viltrumite, one can only imagine how bad the destruction will be when more show up in *Season 2.*
I love how clever the line "Earth, isn't yours to conquer" is. Upon first viewing, it sounds like he's telling them earth isn't to be messed with. But as I'm sure most people who are here knows... He's really saying "I have dibs".
This was my favorite scene in the entire season. It goes to show you just how op Omni-Man is. He wiped out a whole civilization without even trying. And that's just Tuesday to him. And what's scarier is that he isn't even the strongest. He's like mid-tier with other Viltrumites. 1 Viltrumite is powerful enough to wipe out a planet so imagine what whole army can do.
He is not top tier but definitely high tier, he was trained his whole life to be a fighter. He is more than above average, but still gets wiped by the ones at the top
He made sure the portal was closed so no one on Earth heard his comment: "Earth isn't YOURS to conquer". In other words...it isn't YOURS to conquer; it's MINE!
3:49. "earth isn't yours to conquer" is one of the rawest and best lines in the show. To those who haven't seen the show, they might interpret it as Earth isn't for conquering. however, for those who have, they know what he's implying. Earth is meant for Omni-man and his people to conquer.
I like how consciously, he wipes the Flaxans out because they're trying to step on his future turf. But really, they messed with his son. That is unforgivable.
the sound design in this show is an absolute masterclass, really love the music when omni man arrive and saves the heroes, gives you like hope feeling kind of thing idk, it's just awesome.
@@prasahmad3799 Its obvious now but I think they're interpretation of this is - at first it sounded like a hero thing like "I'm not gonna let you conquer this world" to then later realize he meant "this planet is mine to conquer"
Omni-Man on Earth: plows through waves of enemies a whole super-team couldn't handle, wins the battle in about a minute Omni-Man on Flaxan homeworld: _"and now I'll show you what I can REALLY do"_
Since time flows differently in the Flaxans' homeworld, I can imagine the Flaxans waiting for their leader for weeks or even a few months, only for them to get doomed as their leader returns along with the one who singlehandedly stopped their invasion. And to them, from that day onwards, their civilization fell because of that one Viltrumite who went in their portals.
@@ntandoshabalala3669 3 Earth days is decades at Flaxans. The problem is - we don't know how fast beard grows on Omniman xD If it is human speed he was at it for about couple months...fast worker, because Flaxans have/had/and now has again an interstellar Empire and most of the time Omniman spent on travelling between Flaxans planets. If it was an hour in Earth-time(assuming 3 E-days is 2 decades AKA 20 F-years) he was at it 101 F-days and 11 F-hours - still can fit to Omniman's beard growth.
It’s interesting how Omni-man’s venture to their planet seems so nicely transitioned and tied up. It goes from him just casually destroying large chunks of the planets surface to him holding that mountain sized chunk of rock at the end. That says it all. The gap in power is nigh godly. The desperation, inevitability, the horror, the destruction. It’s like the before and after of a war torn area except the after is just some burning craters with a few half dead corpses moaning in pain.
3:51 I love the reality of what would really happen if someone took you by the head and rammed you through multiple walls over and over again. You never see this in any super hero movies. They barely get a scratch on them and get up like it's nothing. Even the non-super hero characters.
It’s mainly because of age rating restrictions that you don’t see this lol. That and because most of the characters who get thrown through walls are durable enough to take it.
They did a great job with the music for this scene. It really feels like he's cutting loose and getting some anger out at the expense of an entire civilization.
I loved the fact that the flaxxons never had to face Omni-Man before. They had time to analyze all the other superheroes and develop technology to defeat them.
Something I never understood was why Mark was so worried. He grew up in that house. He probably overheard at least one or two conversations of his dad disappearing for a week or two.
I love that gasp when the Flaxan leader realised he'd accidentally transgressed against Viltrum. Little moments of like that add re-watchable elements that make a good show great.
@@SirToaster9330 Yeah, I mean, I made this assumption with the prima facie that a race capable of inter-dimensional travel was also capable of researching about the major civilisations in the plane they were invading. Guess I read into it too much.
I never really noticed before, but the final scene of the flaxan planet finally makes sense to me. They're begging him to leave so they create that portal for him. For some reason I always thought that he figured out how to do it on his own since he spent enough time there
Considering how Omni’s race is basically immortal and aging makes him only stronger. Sitting in the time stream in this alien dimension would make him age faster than any other viltrumite until return to his regular time stream.
One thing I love about this is the clear power gap between what Mark is and what he can become. Like Mark did good taking down several squads easily. But then Omni-man while holding back obliterated a huge portion of their army. And then when he doesn't hold back he wipes out their entire planet.
@@rangikumatsumoto3143 don't want to spoil anything but they were definitely tougher than omni man gave them credit for. the guardians had him panting heavily by the time he was done with them, the further we get into the series we get to see how much it actually takes just to hurt/tire omni man that much.
Omni man is undoubtedly, insanely powerful but what a lot of people miss is the fact that he spent 10 years fighting them in their home world.personally though, I think a lot of that time was spent building up enough speed to fly so fast he basically caused a chain of nuclear explosions everywhere he flew.

Omni man has to be the perfect twist villain
Edit: This show is just telling us as much as we need heros were better of without them
The perfect twist hero
He's an antihero, you will soon see the real villians
@@adebayoomolumo1938 Much more powerful viltrumites
Nolan is just above average but not the strongest
He is more like 3rd or even weaker
@@thekaleidoactive7483 Thragg is the one they should worry about.
@@abhisheksrivastava3852 Freddy Mercury!
the red sun lighting on the flaxans' homeworld is cool for two reasons:
-awesome mood lighting and the setting mirrors omni man's anger
-it's a fun parallel to superman, pointing out that viltrumites don't share his well-known dependence on yellow sunlight for superpowers
