Don't forget that premium vehicles, talismans, backups and decorations can also be obtained from the warbond shop for free! If you're a somewhat newer player, buying premium vehicles or talismans from the warbond shop can really help you get through the tiers 3 to 4 in the tech tree that you are grinding relatively quickly.
Yes, and i think you need to do 15 special task completed as well as 3.2k warbond for a premium rank3 tanks/planes, But its worth it, got the italian pz4g from it and its an easy way to start a new tree
you need to complete 10 or 15 special tasks and be shop rank 4 which is unlocked at bp lvl 35 or smth to be able to get the vehicles. its kind of a grind but its okaay
@@paulrogers4234 Bro if you play regulary do check the warbon shop, I got amazing preemium vehicle for free in the Warbon shop like USS Moffet, the 2 German KV1, The BV 238 and many more, even when you don't care about the vehicles in the season you get up to some 500%rp booster.
The events also make you feel like you have to play. I was just playing for fun for the first days of the event but after that I had to grind for it, because I already made some progress. Thankfully 40k score only takes two hours.
I couldn't imagine playing top tier jets without buying missile and CM modifications first. Little trick with modifications, if you're about to complete the research for a mod, you can finish it with GE for a the remaining portion. Anytime this is done, you don't pay the SL for the mod. so if you GE when there's like less than 10 GE remaining on a top tier vehicle, you can save around 30-50K SL on some of the mods for a few GE.
Well summarized! Although imo you should never buy anything that's not on sale, backups is also a never buy for me, you can get more than enough by playing, I have well over 500 in my inventory, talismans for high tier vehicles I think is also a no go they are way too expensive
10:10 Just want to mention that it's imo a very good deal to get that 2500GE improved BP upfront, as purchasing levels costs i think 150GE each and getting 15 levels' worth of boosters and stuff for an extra 500GE almost always pays itself off
Some camouflages are actually very useful in the game. Such as the white one for the Tiger 1 on snow maps, enlarge that bad boy to 100% and you will be much harder to spot at anything past 500 meters

I love to pair 50% off premium with occasionally treating myself with premium tanks or planes, mainly for grinding. For example having that massive 6.0 German bomber is crazy good for grinding, same with Wyvern. For fun i bought ru251 cause its a fun beast and got some other well recommended tanks known for being "op" such as german KV-1
The most important thing to know before buying a premium vehicle is that gaijin releases premium vehicles with a lower br so they overperform and then they slowly nerf them and release more powerful vehciles around them so if you buy a $70 premium after some months you can end with a $70 unusable paper weight.
Never mentioned the importance of the SL modifier per vehicle. Although the RP modifier will *generally* be the same across premium vehicle of a tier, the SL modifiers will be wildly different, and does greatly impact the amount gained per battle. the SL economy is to my understanding is BR Difference(x)Vehicle Type(x)SL Multiplier of Player Vehicle, and the Tier Played is entirely irrelevant when it comes to SL payouts. so when choosing to buy a premium for SL or to tech tree grind is ENTIRELY different. There's >$10 vehicles that grind SL way better than $50-60 vehicles (Japanese BF-109 is a prime example). Also the AAA order triples SL gain for every player aircraft killed, and the ground strike one does the exact same for ground vehicles. important info to know
War Thunder is pretty rewarding if played active. With the Battlepass and Warbond Shop there are quite a few "premium" things for free. I personally just buy premium account on every event. Mostly about 40-50€ for a year. Thats fine for me. Also the vehicles I really want to play. For silver lions basically just one good money maker is required. For me its the Mig17AS. If its back in sale some day, I recommend it
The best SL grinders are by far low tier planes, especially if you are highly experienced in prop combat. In a game with any one of my low tier premiums (any of the soviet cobras, XP-50, japenese 109 and corsair, J2M5, pyorromyrsky) i can easily get 80-150 thousand SL for a single game with premium account and no boosters. My current record is 525.000 SL from a single game in the 109 E-7 with a 300% booster

Crew skills is something I consistently buy. 100 GE will get you 3 reload, 3 aiming, and 3 driving, plus some repair. Or for air, 3 on stamina and G-tolerance. Low level crews feel really sluggish and hinder your performance, so spending only 100 to get your crew to a plenty acceptable level is a good deal in my books.
I think boosters can be useful when playing gamemodes that are very long, like plane sim or heli pve. They still should be considered as less usefull than premium vehicles/time tho. However on that note helicopter pve caps the max RP modifier the vehicle gives to 150 so its even more worth it to use a booster

Thanks for video, I'm a bit of tard when it comes to spending money, in War Thunder did commit a lot of cardinal sins. I boosted around 70k exp to unlock FlaRakRad and unlocked modules just get the VT1 missiles and Roland 3 is not that great trying to shoot down jets. I also bought T80U, I did grind most of the exp and unlocked most modules just to get the Thermal vision and laser rangefinder.
There have been a few times I have used GE to speed up research, the main time I did this was when I was so close to unlocking a jet I wanted but decided to take a year off from the game, when I came back I had 3 new jets to grind before being able to play the one I wanted. So I sped it up out of anger.... I regret it
I don't really get people getting upset about the SL farming. As a seasoned WoT player i think WT is by far easier with SL farming and tech tree proceeding.
The other problem with buying high tier vehicles is that you probably don't have anything to add to the line, and of course at high tier people have serious crew. Then of course personal skill gap... Seriously, bad crew can break a vehicle, I remember getting Italian spitfire just to find out it's next to unflyable with a noob crew. Pilot blacks out on lightest turn.
Never buy silver lions, scrimp save and get a premium helicopter and the grind pve heli event with the premium account time it gives you and you will never need to worry about sl every again
If you feel the need to spend money on war thunder maybe it's time to take a break. You should be having fun, and there are lot of cheap games that are way more fun than a single virtual item.

i agree with all your recommend-o-meter except buying vehicle upgrades. my reasoning is, situationally, like in the instance of ARB...buying a vehicle upgrade to help you speed up the stock grind can be very beneficial and save you headache in grinding that vehicle. like buying rockets immediately after crewing the vehicle to skip the painful stock grind!

Pack vehicles fall under premium vehicles, they offer the same value as ge premiums, more goodies but also more expensive. The decals are in the 3rd or 4th category from below I think

crew xp is MANDATORY for high tier jets though. if you have never played a tree and buy a jet ull def need to spend points into stamina and g tolerance. otherwise ull just lock up before even turning anywhere. yes neg ging helps but u still wont turn even close to your real performance and also your aim might get fucked up by the dark screen

For me the battlepass lasts so long that i dont need the extra boost. I can jus save the 500 ge and get it eventually

Bought myself a strv 103-0 recently. Honestly, a good vehicle, considering i bought it right after 2 years not playing the game
