    I personally feel that bilingualism should actually increase speech, since they’re being introduced to more words. So they would in turn have a wider variety to choose from, both words and sounds

    Sadly, people keep telling me bilingualism has taken my child to have speech delay. I understand there's a period of silence for each. My son is 4YO and he does speak, but doesn't form phrases yet.
