My treatment under the NHS was awful due to the ignorance of so called specialists. Prof Malone-Lee has given me my life back!

The NHS is failing patients suffering from chronic embedded UTI, thank you Prof for all of your hard work and for not giving up when faced with negativity, bureaucracy and ignorance.

this should be required reading & viewing by every single Urological and Infectious Disease physician.. We are in perilous times for patients, in how UTI's are being treated.. Its quite scandalous, as this illness is so debilitating! Watching this, it's so clear that Prof actually cares. TY to Jo & Michelle & rest of FB team who are helping so many worldwide who are suffering because of 'outdated' and frankly wrong modalities..

After being failed by many NHS GPs and urologists, I was so grateful to finally discover the success being had by the clinic of Professor James Malone-Lee, due to the help of the embedded/chronic UTI support group on facebook. I am now in treatment under his clinic. I really hope that both more patients and more clinicians see this so that they can become better informed and that medical responses to UTIs change for the better.

Brilliant and should be required viewing for all urologists, Gyn, GP’s and the like. It is a travesty that so many people are suffering from chronic UTI. This should not be happening.

This gives me more hope than any of my previous urologists and GPs have. Cannot wait for my appointment, I'm looking forward to getting my life back after 8 years of suffering and wrong diagnosis.

So informative and clear. Everyone should be able to access the care Professor has researched to work for embedded infection. The nhs need to listen and other professionals. He really is saving lives!

The NHS with their useless testing and poor NICE guidelines has resulted in me suffering with a chronic UTI which could have been so easily sorted out if GPs had treated me and my symptoms and did not base treatment on ineffective tests. Now with Prof’s clinic and finally making progress.

So interesting. As someone who has been diagnosed with IC for many years it gives me hope to hear this. I would love to know if hunners ulcers can be caused by embedded infections. I'm worried I have "true " IC and the embedded infection treatment wouldn't work for me . Looking forward to the next part. Thankyou for organising and posting. Hopefully it might increase awareness of this horrid condition.

Take a look at the embedded/chronic UTI Facebook group. I’m sure you’ll find the answers there. I was diagnosed 7 years ago and have been in treatment now for 8 months and 90% better. Best of luck on your healing path.

Yes they absolutely can be caused by this.

Massively agree with the view that biological processes must be looked at as a continuum.

Malone-Lee's work is also talked about by people with chronic prostatitis / male chronic pelvic pain. Does anyone know if Malone-Lee has ever addressed this condition specifically? Obviously there are lots of similarities with IC. Thanks

What's the science behind first gen ABs working on patients who's cultures have said they have multiple resistant infections? Is it detailed in the book?

    • @GeorgianaMorar

All in the book. Professor's beautiful and scientific mind unleashed in there. There is an Amazon link in the description if you want to check that out.

Wish there were more doctors like this. I am at my witts end. I was given 3 days of Nitrofurantoin after blood & leukocytes dip test, which only partially worked, then was told the lab didn't grow bacteria so no more antibiotics. I managed to get hold of a weeks worth of Nitrofurantoin & 3 days of Trimethoprim & felt great after for a week. Now bladder is sore again. Ultrasound scan didn't show any problem, but doctor will no longer give me anything.
Can't see a way out of pain.

I've been diagnosed just recently with ic and this is no joke. How can this work though and still not be recognized by doctors?

  • @AmandaWood-rc2ub
    @AmandaWood-rc2ub 3 ปีที่แล้ว

This makes so much sense to me. I don’t understand why Doctors are so stubborn with putting all their trust in such dated, inaccurate tests. Yet they tell me those Microgen tests are too new and can’t be trusted yet.
