Im new to pour painting and love it. I have done acrylic painting for a few years and teach classes (like the sip and paint classes) . Ive been trying to figure out how to do pour painting with landscapes and such. So thank you so much for these christmas videos! They have opened my eyes to a whole new possibilities. I can't wait to mesh these 2 worlds.
This is beautiful, I like lives as we can see unedited videos, but I like the way you don't talk all the way through other than telling folk what you are doing. I like the questions at the end. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Yes the ornaments were optional....I decided to do them just to demonstrate. No ornaments makes it "winter", while a tree with ornaments makes it more Christmas.
Yes of course you can! It's fun and experimental, and one painting will lead to the next. Just gather your supplies and have a covered table to pour on!
I love this video of the trees. I am going to tackle that tomorrow and if it turns out I am going to give it to my daughter for Christmas. Thanks! I love your videos
I'm loving your Christmas trees and doing my best to duplicate your method. I believe my first set came out well except I believe I have too thick background paint. You say you are using Easy Flow pouring medium, however, I've not discovered anything called that via your supply list or google searches. Can you be more specific? Also, what do you use to topcoat your pieces? Thank you. I really enjoy your videos.
How do you treat your piece for longevity? I am interested in trying a big piece but I am unsure on how to preserve it because of the oily content of the silicon.
I am sorry if this is a repeat question but I am new to pouring.....how much silicone do you put into your cups of colour? I get very few and they are always only small. thanks :)
It's hard to control the size of the cells. My cells are not always big. I actually like a variety of cell sizes, so I would advise you to enjoy what happens, and maybe you will discover the key to large cells if that is what is important to you. It's an experimental process and I hope you have fun with it!
Well I was kidding around but yes, you could say the finished art is brighter. A nice white background is one reason I love to gesso, it does affect the colors. Yes I know the canvas is already white, I just like using my gesso to ensure my own layers of white are on there and not the factory finish of the canvas.
Hola Caren, me gustan mucho todos tus videos, pero siento mucho no comprender todo lo que dices. Seria posible poner subtitulos en español? Muchas gracias

your trees are so beautiful they didn't need xman ornaments. ..I love it...it's on my to do list.
thank you
Yes the ornaments were optional....I decided to do them just to demonstrate. No ornaments makes it "winter", while a tree with ornaments makes it more Christmas.
Caren, your imagination is so great. Wonderful pour.
lovely
Thank you for this, you make me feel that I can do this. I am not artistic but crafty. So I think I can

Just beautiful

Hello' and Merry Christmas! My name is Faith I live in West Virginia. You taught me how to Acrylic Pour Paint. And I love watching your videos.
Thank you, Faith, Merry Christmas!

This was awesome
I absolutely love the pour and paint effects. it's it possible to use this technique to print on fabric?
Clare Nelson you would need fabric paints to paint on fabric.
I am not currently working on fabric, it's a whole 'nother technique. Let me know if you discover anything about it.
Beatiful
put in stars
do you do the same recipe to mix your paint or is it a little thicker
Maybe the sky alittle bit bigger with snow falling.
it needs a little bunny under a tree peeking out! Ill try to get the next live one? Any idea when? Im in BC Canada
What do you do with all that paint that is left so it's not drying out??
cover it with plastic wrap or a snap on lid.
How do you treat your piece for longevity? I am interested in trying a big piece but I am unsure on how to preserve it because of the oily content of the silicon.
Well I watched to the end and got my answer! Thanks so much for the great vid.
I am sorry if this is a repeat question but I am new to pouring.....how much silicone do you put into your cups of colour? I get very few and they are always only small. thanks :)
Just a few drops
I do put in a few drops but still never get the beautiful big cells you do :(
It's hard to control the size of the cells. My cells are not always big. Thank you so much, I am enjoying it so I will persevere :)
I find that dimethicone, found in some hair care products, produces larger cells. You can also buy it online through Amazon.
Hi Caren
I heard you say recently that not applying gesso is like not brushing your teeth. Is the point that the finished art is brighter?
Well I was kidding around but yes, you could say the finished art is brighter. A nice white background is one reason I love to gesso, it does affect the colors. Yes I know the canvas is already white, I just like using my gesso to ensure my own layers of white are on there and not the factory finish of the canvas.
Thank-you for taking the time to reply.
