@@Deinobi adobe for home use is absolutely absurd and insanely expensive. But for business work it's actually really good.
I did some online broadcasting for traditional sports & eSports, we switched from using a medley of programs for everything (davinchi, gimp, etc) over to adobe after they gave us a package deal. And man it's genuinely just a lot quicker and more efficient when you can just port shit right over program to program, instead of using like 8 different converters online. It also helped keep file sizing a bit better and was significantly quicker.
That being said it fucking sucks to be stuck to one company, who really doesn't have any competition and be at their mercy for rate hikes. So yeah good and bad but genuinely a pretty solid use case for a good variety of things.

I was invited to a corporate paintball day here in Oz many years ago. It was an accounting company I did some consulting for. They were definitely not the sporting types and we were up against what looked like a very hard core bunch of serious paintballers, all with their own guns, camo etc. However, we had an ex-special forces guy on our side and he coordinated our attacks and defence etc. We absolutely thrashed the other guys in every one of the 6 or so missions. We never told them and they were shocked! Taught me about the value of good strategy. 🙂

I had this situation happen once and it turned out to be a blast of a day. US Army here, one of my guys birthday was coming up so his wife got in touch with me to get the guys to go painball for a day. I called the boys on my team and the 12 of us all met down at the local place. There were about 15 or 20 non military folks, regulars, there to have a good day. The staff put us up against any size group that wanted to have a go with us. The result was the same as your video, super fast and super one sided matches. Few hours later we broke for lunch and prepared to go home as it was starting to get really busy. Staff asked us to stay and we wouldn't have to pay for the rest of the day or supplies. Come to find out people were calling their friends to come down, the facility would have around 20 at any given time playing and at about 1pm there was around 60. Lost count of how many matches we ran, we were all exhausted come night time. Met a lot of great guys out there that day and had a blast all afternoon.
Good on you, glad you all had a great day and met some awesome dudes from SAS.

I don't work in army or any sort of enforcement so take my thoughts with grain of salt
-The speed of decisionmaking and execution of it, as that's something that largely comes through sheer amount of practice in any area of life, whatever you're dealing with
-Moving in determined and efficient matter, taking advantage of your environment and having good aim and reactions(reacting to visual stimulus once again improves as you practice more).

I also had a similar experience. 🙃 I never played professionally, but I could have. I was so good, that I stopped wearing camo and started wearing khaki shorts and a white t-shirt, just to taunt and to add a handicap. Some, my friend thought it would be funny to pit me against some hard-ass military dudes. These guys were vicious, determined, and fully stocked. No fucks given. They would bring fireworks to flush you out. They never expected someone like me who could run through brush like a gazelle, pick up fireworks, and toss them back, to have an eagle's aim. Mind you, these dudes came in with extended barrels, uniforms, and top-of-the-line equipment. I had a cheap-ass Spyder from Walmart, and a Talen pump as a side arm. It was indeed a great day. 😈 But sadly, no one wanted to play with me again after that. Still worth it, though.

      RISK says odds are 3:1
This game it looked closer to 5:1
If you don't know their strategy ahead of time I think 10:1 can do it.
40 vs 4 you should be confident of winning with randos whose only certification is "graduated high school, some college, some TH-cam"
Might be able to bring it down to 25 : 5 in a relatively small arena with few possibilities. While a large area might seem better at first to not get chokepointed, since strategy is so important then you need the randos to have a chance to assess and analyze.
Special Forces is going to optimally assess the terrain too quickly no matter the size of arena, so just giving the randos less to worry about helps focus their minds on concrete truths.

Gap would increase to 100:1 or something if you used real guns too, the distance speed and positioning would be to much. Paintballs natural limit is a very good equalizer.

I remember years ago my brother was playing paintball for his friend’s birthday. He desperately wanted his friend’s dad to join. Somehow in our years of knowing this family it never registered with my brother that the dad was a marine. He played. My brother was so flabbergasted at how good the dad was at it. It’s still one of my favorite memories, watching a former marine destroy my brother at paintball. A few years later they were playing air soft, I had the great joy of watching my brother get shot point blank by the same guy, and hearing my brother complain about it. Truly, it’s comic gold.

I used to play a game at night in a wooded area where we split into teams, one finding and one hiding and had to find and tackle all the opposite team. one of my friends dads was apparently in the SAS or some other special forces and he would come and play with us sometimes. He would do crazy stuff like drop from trees or out of places you'd never expect, we would have to all team up against him to get away or find him and even then we never won (admittedly we were from 13-15 years old but there was about 10 of us). To us he was practically a ghost able to move silently and appear from thin air and even though we knew that area like the back of our hands we didn't stand a chance of finding him if he didn't want to be found. It would be terrifying having to face someone like that in combat and he was around 50 at the time so can't imagine what a team of people like that in their prime are like.

You should have enlisted a local tournament paintball team to see the outcome. I started playing paintball in 1988, played tournaments for around 20 years, national sponsors etc. Played against the best of the best in the world from NPPL days to NXL. Over the years there's been many times we've had a group of military guys or a local swat team show up and they never did well lol Usually got upset. I'm not taking anything away from anyone military, much respect and thank you for your service! But paintball is nothing like the training they have. They train to stay alive at all costs. Paintball players just walk off the field and come back next game. We always aggressively overwhelmed them. A good paintball team knows how to sweet spot, take a few off the break and end a game in 15 seconds. Or make a bunker run to take out a key position, or 2 or 3 opponents knowing we will get shot, but leaving us in a 4 on 2 advantage. The moves we make in paintball usually come across as completely stupid to a military person and would get you killed in battle. It's just a different world. Paintball is a game for points, closer to a cross between basketball and chess than it is actual combat.

Paintball can somewhat build skills you could utilize in a 1v1 gunfight, communication, cover and concealment etc. But the military trains you to put fear aside and do a job at all costs that most civilians wouldn't understand. SF units are also trained in many things that just doesn't apply to paintball. Navigation, technology, first aid, mechanical repair, interrogation, psychology.... The skill set some SF units posses is amazing. These guys train constantly for all kinds of things that can be used on a battle field. Lot more to it that a 20 second small arms engagement.

@@quirkytitle172 Yes sir, if you're interested, here's a good video that really shows how paintball differs from actual combat. A "Bunker Run" is when you look and see an opposing player looking out the wrong side of his bunker. You run to the opposite side and shoot him out. If you're good at seeing the whole field, fast thinking and fast on your feet, sometimes you can take out multiple people on one run through before you get blasted by their back guys lol If someone is in a key bunker and you need them gone bad enough, it's worth it to "trade" or take a 1 on 1 elimination to get him out of there so one of your mid or back guys can then fill that key bunker. Paintball is all about angles. The further down field you go, the less room they have behind their bunker to hide. If you and one of your guys across the field advance forward you can "pinch them out" he can't hide from both of you. Both teams have a game plan for every move they make. If things go right, your plan works and not theirs lol You have to be able to react fast to everything that happens on the field and communication is key. I never played a tournament where i still have my voice the next day from screaming positions, screaming for cover fire, or letting my guys know someone was eliminated. It's like chess at 125 miles an hour ;) th-cam.com/video/nAFNAL1zVl0/w-d-xo.html

I played paintball with some soldiers when I lived on a military base in middle school. At one point I got separated from my unit and discovered the enemy approaching from the rear in order to flank my team. I ran so hard that by the time I got to my team, my legs couldn't work. One of the soldiers literally picked me up on his shoulders and carried me to cover. Good times, soldiers don't play.

This is the only real reply in here. Soldiers usually suck at paintball, because in soldiering you can die and in paintball you generally don't. The approach is completely different and none of the skills are transferable.
Military folk showing up expecting to do well and then getting wrecked was pretty common where I played regularly.

@@soy_leche oh yeah definitely but i wanted to add that little part just because in a paintball match you can a lot easier just take out your target in 30 seconds because theres not really any unknown information and its just a game. in real life it would be a lot harder to know all the information, they would be up against more people and the stakes are so high that a single mess up can be the end of a life or multiple. yet seeing how efficient they are makes you wonder what it must be like to be up against them in a real life or death.
