I just walked by the hospital ward and realised a woman at the age 40 plus with her teenage children. The woman kept chanting namo Guan Yin Boddhisattva I could feel a bit cool reflecting a spirit beside the ward. May I represent millions of hunger children in the world cordially request someone could donate this shurangama Mantra in whatsover manner (Diamond Sutra)so that to ensure all children could grow up with financially full support from their both parents.
It took me two weeks to memorize Surangama Mantra... the romanized Sanskrit version from Malaysian Usnisa Vijaya Buddhist Association...thank you so much for uploading this on TH-cam.
@@alicialeon884 you can apply all memorization techniques which we used when we were school students. I print the mantra on paper. I count the number of words in each line. For example, 8 words in a particular line. So, I write "8" next to that line. Then, I memorize that line (the hardest part) by keep saying every words of that particular line and trying to have the words visualized/stored in my brain visually as a visual memory/data. After that, I say/recite that line without looking at the text/paper because in my mind I have already "stored" those 8 words. While saying those 8 words, I count with my fingers to make sure that I really say 8 words from that line. And then I look back at the text to make sure (to check) if I have really remembered those 8 words. Keep reciting several times while at the same time in your mind you have those words visually present as a visual memory and as a sound memory (you also memorize the sound/pronunciation of the words). I also memorize the first word of each line in their exact sequence. It helps a lot when I try to remember the sequence. For example: the first line has "statagatha" as the first word. The second line has "namah" as the first word. The third line has "namah" as its first word and I go on and on like that. Every day I make target to memorize at least 15 lines. So, every day I memorize 15 new lines as well as recall the lines that I have memorized the day before. Approximately 14 days are needed.
Wish you luck, bro. It took me two weeks to memorize surangama mantra. This romanized sanskrit version. However, two weeks was not enough to gain fluency. Still forget some words here and there. I don't know how many practice is needed to be able to chant 100% from memory. But from my personal experience, 14 days to memorize. To chant smoothly we'll need way more practice, though.
I am looking into this video as I am going through extreme depression due to my personal suffering. It feels so peaceful after chanting these amazing sounds and words
This mantra is extremely huge mantra in order to master it you must set a vow, for example if I could memorize and keep chanting the Shurangama Mantra all the merits will be for those patients with high blood pressure, diabetic, heart attack etc(must be remembered not for you, do it without condition). This is a way of using our paramitta wisdom in which your heart could cover entire universal. The vows must be same frequency with Diamond Sutra.
@@Deminan. If im not mistaken, diamond in chinese is 金刚(jin gang) which means strong and unbreakable, indestructible. So what he meant is to have an indestructible heart upon reciting, and so you will not retreat over any hardship or in any obstacle your facing.
In fact the boddhisattva above of us are waiting for those who could set a vow to benefit all living ( beings) in a way having synchronized with the heart of Diamond Sutra. With this heart you may enter into ten direction worlds. That is why the pre-requisite to chant this mantra in an effective way is to set positive vows for others.
I think he/she is suggesting us to promise that we chant the mantra in order to benefit all beings. The Diamond Sutra tells about the vow to benefit all beings.
This is a very beautiful song.. I hear it i can feel very easy and free. anyone know where I can download this beautiful song.. I want to listen it everyday.. Thanks
Is there an English translation for this? I love this Sutra, if I have trouble sleeping, I listen this Sutra, I don't know what it means but I find very comforting. I know the story behind it. But don't know what it means. Thank You Namo Buddhaya Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu 🙏♥️🌈☸️📿
Brother🙏🙏, this is a very detailed explanation of shurangama mantra, www.scribd.com/doc/134127952/Shurangama-Mantra-Sutra-Siddham-Sanskrit-Ven-Hsuan-Hua-Verses
Due to the sanskrit which is not easy to be changed into english letter, the pronouncation will sometime be slightly different. Ex. Hūm Trūm ( Hūm Bhrūm)
This mantra is a kind of special language so we just listen to it without translation. Mantras have good energy so you should enjoy it. If you have trouble with sleeping, this may help you: th-cam.com/video/7s6OHfdX9hA/w-d-xo.html Goodluck.
Needless to consider about Buddha his past life, Buddha had learnt and practising Buddhism for about 7 years only and achieved enlightenment. But many of us inclusive full time monks in the temples have been learning more than 7 years or 70 years or even much more....more and more ......countless, we have been kept failing again and again. WHY? WHY?.............WHY?
Can someone clarify below which one is correct? 1. Aṣṭā-viṃśatināṃ nakśatrāṇāṃ PRASADANA-karīṃ. or 2. Aṣṭā-viṃśatināṃ nakśatrāṇāṃ vi-dhvaṃsana-karīṃ. And there is another similar sentence later in the mantra (second assembly): "Aṣṭā-viṃśatīnāṃ nakṣatrānāṃ pra-sādana-kara hūṃ trūṃ." From here, it looks it should be #1. But #1 and #2 have totally different and even opposite meanings. "pra-sādana" means bringing peace or favor, while "vi-dhvaṃsana" means destroying or annihilating. And if we look at the sentence before and after it, both means a powerful entity who has the ability to cause the destruction or annihilation of planets. So in this context, it looks #2 is correct.
Mouthing it and trying your best to follow along to the best of your compassionate being and ability will be enough for certian Buddha and deities to take notice and still reward you for your efforts however if you keep listeing to it once a day you will have memorized in no time. This is taken from site will post link in the following comment " If you want to attain the fruition of Arhatship, you absolutely must recite this mantra to keep demonic things from happening. During the Dharma-ending Age if people can memorize the Shurangama Mantra or encourage others to memorize it, well, fire cannot burn such people and water cannot drown them. No matter how potent a poison, it cannot harm them. For those who recite the Shurangama Mantra, poison turns to sweet dew as soon as it enters their mouths. People who recite the Shurangama Mantra will never get born in bad places, even if they want to. Why is that so? It's because the Shurangama Mantra pulls you back and won't allow you to go. Someone who recites the Shurangama Mantra may never have amassed any blessings or virtue, but, simply because he recites the mantra, the Thus Come Ones of the ten directions will bestow their own merit and virtue upon that person. Wouldn't you call that a bargain? That happens based on the recitation of the Mantra alone. If you recite the Shurangama Mantra, you will continually get to be born at a time when a Buddha is in the world and will be able to immerse yourself in cultivation under that Buddha's guidance."
The ad never used to be there. TH-cam will sometimes add ads without the creator knowing, but the creator has the ability to remove it if they choose to do so. This mantra was uploaded years ago and the creator may not know that the ad was put in.
After you Chant this mantra, as stated in the Sutra your partial (as our standard) of soul may go to ten directions of world to propangada whatever your vow to be fulfilled. Again all the Buddhists disciples must start chanting this mantra with Diamond Sutra heart ideally to achieve imediate enlightenment.
One word keeps coming up in this Sutra: Trum, what does it mean? I tried googling with no success, if anyone knows what it means please let me know Thank You, Namo Buddhaya 🙏🙏
Sometimes words in the mantra don’t have meanings and even if they do , it’s not exactly what it means literally cus it’s a more of a mantra than a sentence . For example , Om Mani Padme Hum means om jewel lotus hum but it’s not the real meaning of the mantra . It’s believed to be composed of the 6 most fundamental and original sounds of the universe . Om signifies the body and manifestation of the Buddha and Hum signifies the mind of the Buddhas and our limitless Buddha nature . So every syllable has very deep and secretive meanings that humans aren’t able to comprehend . And “trūm” in this mantra means “possesses the mightiest virtues and the complete flaming spiritual power of the crown of the Buddha’s head” according to the Sanskrit master 果濱。So it’s not a word with only one meaning . So attaching on the worldly meanings of the mantra isn’t a perfect idea . But who understands the non-worldly meanings of the mantra ? Only Buddhas and Bodisattvas do . But is it good to understand the worldly meanings tho ? Absolutely Yes but don’t get attached to it so much cus they’re incomplete . And chant the mantra with one pure heart undisturbed and you’ll be able to enter the samadhi door of this mantra one day and you’ll understand everything . And if you know Chinese , here’s the detailed translation of this mantra drive.google.com/file/d/1_V0poJAB1YrSmu0eIvOTuOCvfKvkHGPi/view?usp=drivesdk

Million thanks for uploading such solemn mantra on TH-cam. I will try hard to learn this mantra.
Can i know the advantages of this mantra??
Thank you so much! 南无释迦牟尼佛 南无阿弥陀佛
I really enjoy reciting these mantras and makes me feel with poditive vibes
I am looking into this video as I am going through extreme depression due to my personal suffering. It feels so peaceful after chanting these amazing sounds and words
we are subject to defilement this purified this ,note " chaya grahat " Chay means shadow but this is a unclean ghost like the putana & such.

Dear Chen,
Thank you for the video clip!
Thank you so much for posting this video 🙏 I need it so bad ! 🙇
Diamond sutra in chinese is called as 金刚经(jin gang jing)
I think he/she was suggesting us to make boddhisattva's vow. Boddhisattva's vow is written in the Diamond Sutra. It is a very short vow.
What are the advantages of this mantra?
❤ i love it spiritual .. 🙏🙏
Thank you so much for posting this video.
That a type of mudra?
I think he/she is suggesting us to promise that we chant the mantra in order to benefit all beings. The Diamond Sutra tells about the vow to benefit all beings.

@@karmapunchok7315 Thank You very much, Namo Amituofo
This mantra is a kind of special language so we just listen to it without translation. Mantras have good energy so you should enjoy it.
If you have trouble with sleeping, this may help you:
th-cam.com/video/7s6OHfdX9hA/w-d-xo.html
Goodluck.
Yes i will link it here
the word Sitatapatra means white canopy but it is not equivalent to the white parason deity.
The question here is who can donate at least a vow for others to chant this Shutangama Mantra!
Buddha was on his last birth having practiced for eons before his full enlightenment.
Where can i have this text. Thanks

Can someone clarify below which one is correct?
1. Aṣṭā-viṃśatināṃ nakśatrāṇāṃ PRASADANA-karīṃ.
or
2. Aṣṭā-viṃśatināṃ nakśatrāṇāṃ vi-dhvaṃsana-karīṃ.
And there is another similar sentence later in the mantra (second assembly): "Aṣṭā-viṃśatīnāṃ nakṣatrānāṃ pra-sādana-kara hūṃ trūṃ."
From here, it looks it should be #1.
So in this context, it looks #2 is correct.
is listening to this mantra effective too? what other ways can I use it to receive its benefits if I can't memorize it?
Mouthing it and trying your best to follow along to the best of your compassionate being and ability will be enough for certian Buddha and deities to take notice and still reward you for your efforts however if you keep listeing to it once a day you will have memorized in no time.
This is taken from site will post link in the following comment
" If you want to attain the fruition of Arhatship, you absolutely must recite this mantra to keep demonic things from happening.

Is there a link where I can download this?
may I get the pdf?
thank you
One word keeps coming up in this Sutra: Trum, what does it mean?
