I own a R15v2. It's been 5yrs of ownership and like thousands of me i hv never ridden on a racetrack to find its limits so quickly. Just a few months back when I thought I have experienced what I had to from the bike and I needed a bigger one, I accidently did a mid corner stoppie at about 30-40 degree lean. And I made the corner. I smiled thinking the old girl still can amaze me. And this makes me appreciate the beauty of a balanced motorcycle. You can reach triple digit speeds only for a few times. But in all cases what is going to watch your back is the faultless handling of your motorcycle. And thats why I am a fan of Yamaha.

i own duke 390 . but if i were to by in 1.5 lakhs category i defintely go with r 15 v3 .rc is fun only when it is 390 ,maybe 200 but absolutely no no to 125.

I mean you gotta appreciate KTM for their boldness toward Indian market, the first if not only company to provide equipments like Radial Caliper, USD Forks, Trellis Frame and now TFT Console, Ride by Wire with Modes, Quick Shifter UD, Traction Control you name it for such lower displacement segments, let's not talk about the rad styling though.
Our family goes way long with Yamaha, we still own our first Rajdoot, but what's the competition comes in, rubber break lines? Tell me about the feedback when the lines start giving up, expanding with lever pull.
I believe these Japanese manufacturers, The so called 'Big Four' focuses more on their business rather than passion unlike Europeans.
By appreciating KTM we appreciate their bold moves thus welcoming more of these high end features to our community and price point.
Japanese used to be aggressive and are not new to experimenting they changed their business model when Mitsubishi (focused too much on evo and forgot to make cars for family) failed
KTM did it because they were failing in every market then Bajaj implemented their Pulsar's business model and they relied on India to get back into business
@@pranaym3859 Yeah, but companies like Yamaha can still launch bikes the Yamaha XT250 in India without compromising on their sales figures since they already have commuter products on steady sale. I think the Japanese companies are being way to cautious, to the point of being cowardly by not launching non-commuter products especially when they already have such products in the international market.
Well any of the big four can defeat ktm 390 in performace and features but they dont want to do that

Exactly 5 years ago, there was a video on PowerDrift. Featuring the New prick from kothrud, the legendary Sarge, TenHut, Ali Bhai amongst others. And it was about the best beginner sportsbike you could buy in India. And I agreed. Agreed so much that I got one myself. Surprisingly, 5 years later, and after many other bike launches, my opinion still hasn't changed. It is still the RC200. Perfect engine size, perfect dynamics and more than adequate upgrade options. Got the tank grips, metzelers, upgraded the brake calipers and piggyback ecu for an even puncher top end. There is a reason why the rc200 has a better time than the conti 650 around the MMRT ridden by none other than Rajini. It is an extremely underrated motorcycle.

@@dharrshane1449 ktm has better engine. DOHC engine which is capable of doing high rpm. maybe thats why. even if it gets hot there is liquid cooling. and the temperature will be regulated fast. temperature will not be an issue

I don't get it.. *RC 125* makes no sense.. i rode this bike and i felt like i am sitting in a aggressive riding position & just shifting gears from 1 to 6 and bike is barely moving that felt stupid.. on the other hand *Duke 125* is at least good in comfort department.

@@rhtkharat yes i don't get it, coz i have RC390 and on 390 RC's body structure is a whole lot of different story.. RC125s aerodynamic is useless coz it takes more than 120kmph for aerodynamic to properly kick in, so RC 125 doesn't makes sense but *Duke 125* does. Low Power & Riding Position suitable for daily commutes with acceptable Mileage, Duke makes sense for me.
It was 5 seconds slower than the R15 and you still feel it runs slow? are you ok?

And about top speed - being a 150cc segment bike does above 140kmph+
Whereas in Duke/RC 200, it's limited to 138kmph
Yeah no doubt Duke/RC200 are quicker and but not so quick that it will smoke R15 V3
And considering the price difference between R15 V3 and RC200.
- It makes R15 V3 better than RC200.
*Note: I don't own R15 V3 niether a Yamaha Fan Boy & I have ridden both R15V3 and RC200.*
And there are many bikes which comes with more displacement and with better power figures means better performance at a lower price where RC125 sucks.

R15 V3 is one of the few bikes under budget which can give a top speed beyond the engine CC
It's a motorcycle very well made. Kudos to Yamaha on what they have here.

Rc125 can too go beyond 125kmph.

Yamaha has very poor marketing strategy they have a good line up in the global market but here in India v barely get half of what is there in the global market. Their MT series for example.
More over I feel Yamaha should bring the 4 stroke version of the RD 350. I am sure it will sell well.

Its pretty dumb if someone buys rc 125 or Duke 125 . If some is think about getting a ktm bike go for Duke 200 or 250 ,skip rc 200 or jump directly to Duke 390 or rc 390.

The FZ25 is a proper commuter bike! It would be unfair to bring it into the picture :)

The begining was pretty much annoying
R15❤️ Has always been a phenomenal motorcycle. Being it braking, power, ergonomics, it's right there in the middle, cater both track enthusiast & commuter based customer. I have almost abused my motorcycle, taken it to all terrains bcoz it's the only bike i have. He is 9yrs now, have never troubled me. Soo much dependable ❤️

Yamaha r15 is such a complete package.. Yamaha nailed with this one..
And those who complains about USD forks and swingarm, guys Indian 2 wheel market specially in 1-2 lakh segment is very competitive.
And USD forks are better for race tracks and cornering but most of us are gonna use it in our city roads.

It's idiotic to even think about the RC125 when the R15 is around as Yamahas will always be more reliable,better built and comfortable than any KTM. Considering the price tag of KTM is equal to the Yamaha...I bet if the KTM was 20,000 cheaper still it won't be able to compete.

I have only one complain, PARTS, parts are to much expansive.. Biks is no 1.
2008 model cost 2,64,900 at that time.
V3 cost 4,64,900.
