I'm Dutch and I can confirm. Childrens shows here teach English to kids from when they first start watching TV. We used to also not dub anything that was for teens and we still don't dub shit for adults. English is also taught from elementary. The Dutch use a lot of English in regular conversations aswell. Many between the ages 14-30 speak English half of the time with their Dutch friends.
I fucking hate this stereotype, I am from the netherlands and yeah people are good at english here but it's not like it is difficult to find bad english speakers here and no, not every or even most 4 year olds speak english. Also 90% of dutch people no matter how proficient they are in english have an obvious dutch accent which no one could mistake for an american accent

To be fair i flew in business class as a child cos my dad is a pilot. It was literally the best thing ever, free unlimited snacks on an incredibly comfortable recliner bed chair and all the new movies you could dream of for 8 hours... I feel like i appreciated it more than any adult.

I watched his playthrough of corpse party, and then heard there was an anime about it. that was the first anime I ever watched, and what originally got me into (horror) anime. I also watched joey's playthrough of the sachiko spin-off after that, because I craved corpse party content. I was a kid back then. and now, a decade later, I sit in my apartment watching all of these guys in a room together talking shit, and they also mention corpse party. we've come full circle.

E.g. crossing your arms infront of you is often seen/ interpreted as being sceptical or trying to shield/ distance yourself from the other person. I had a group of 30 people being asked about it (why they themselves do it) and almost everyone except for maybe 2 or 3 people did say they are just doing it because it feels comfortable (as a position) and makes them focus more on the conversation partner. I don't know if anyone else got this feeling but it was like an episode of good friends just hanging and banter over 'an interview', you get me? One of my fave TT episodes, it felt so organic that i didn't notice it ending. Also another thing i kinda noticed, anytime connor would kinda bring up anything to do with numbers or analytics etc to pewds, pewds would just reply in a 'i don't really care' way and that put a stop to them types of questions. i think alot of youtubers needed to hear that, realize the numbers shouldn't matter as not even pewds cares about them and kinda fobs off the question so that it can go into a more interesting topics, like skipping cutscenes, PC vs console and anime talk. There was no talking about algorithms or youtube stuff, that almost alienates the viewers from the conversation, since a majority won't be youtubers themselves. It was pure fun to watch from start to finish, seems they have a very good connection with felix, i would love to see him appear in one of the specials or after dark. i can just imagine if pewd's was in that Drifting special, flying around in a supped up car, blasting 'bitch lasagna' out of it 🤣

They've made their bank, they've secured their legacy, they've become cultural icons, haven't really fucked any people over in the process, and can now just enjoy the fruits of their labor til the end of their days. Tesco is a supermarket. So they are very surprised Felix never went to either shop because of how long he lived in the UK. I hope that makes sense

I'm Dutch and I can confirm. Childrens shows here teach English to kids from when they first start watching TV. We used to also not dub anything that was for teens and we still don't dub shit for adults. English is also taught from elementary. The Dutch use a lot of English in regular conversations aswell. Many between the ages 14-30 speak English half of the time with their Dutch friends.
I fucking hate this stereotype, I am from the netherlands and yeah people are good at english here but it's not like it is difficult to find bad english speakers here and no, not every or even most 4 year olds speak english. Also 90% of dutch people no matter how proficient they are in english have an obvious dutch accent which no one could mistake for an american accent

I started watching youtube in like 2010, pewdiepie being the first channel I really enjoyed. I watched his playthrough of corpse party, and then heard there was an anime about it. that was the first anime I ever watched, and what originally got me into (horror) anime. I also watched joey's playthrough of the sachiko spin-off after that, because I craved corpse party content.
I was a kid back then. and now, a decade later, I sit in my apartment watching all of these guys in a room together talking shit, and they also mention corpse party. we've come full circle.

People who are too much into body language get tunnel vision after a while (your comment sounded like that; no offense).
E.g. crossing your arms infront of you is often seen/ interpreted as being sceptical or trying to shield/ distance yourself from the other person.
I had a group of 30 people being asked about it (why they themselves do it) and almost everyone except for maybe 2 or 3 people did say they are just doing it because it feels comfortable (as a position) and makes them focus more on the conversation partner.

I don't know if anyone else got this feeling but it was like an episode of good friends just hanging and banter over 'an interview', you get me? One of my fave TT episodes, it felt so organic that i didn't notice it ending.
Also another thing i kinda noticed, anytime connor would kinda bring up anything to do with numbers or analytics etc to pewds, pewds would just reply in a 'i don't really care' way and that put a stop to them types of questions.
i think alot of youtubers needed to hear that, realize the numbers shouldn't matter as not even pewds cares about them and kinda fobs off the question so that it can go into a more interesting topics, like skipping cutscenes, PC vs console and anime talk. There was no talking about algorithms or youtube stuff, that almost alienates the viewers from the conversation, since a majority won't be youtubers themselves.
It was pure fun to watch from start to finish, seems they have a very good connection with felix, i would love to see him appear in one of the specials or after dark. i can just imagine if pewd's was in that Drifting special, flying around in a supped up car, blasting 'bitch lasagna' out of it 🤣
