Hey bro!! Yes finally implementing the different angles like u suggested :). And thanks for noticing the fro!!! Hahahhaa I’m loving it! I just cut it tho but will grow it again :)
Brada Joey! Much mahalo bro. Man sorry I'm taking so long to reply! Been so busy and things. But I'm glad this short video helped even just a little! Adding little and little to the repertoire! :)
@@JJMilare no need to be sorry bro take your time responding. thanks again for the great lessons and all the words of encouragement it’s so much appreciated 🤙
Is it important to be proficient at all of the different triplet techiques? I can play index down, thumb up, index up quickly and cleanly, but can't seem to get this one down...
Oh! It isn’t so important to be proficient the way I play it. The way you do it is perfectly fine! For me, the way I do it fits the way I usually strum. But for me as long as the timing is on point is what matters :)
Hi, when you play triplet, it looks like your thumb did not hit down all the strings but just a brush down like only 3 strings. I'm learning and want to know whether that's how triplet is played with the thumb when strummed down?
Aloha! I was looking at the video and yes it looks like I strum mainly the top 3 strings going down with the thumb. For that, it doesn't matter as much if you brush 3 or 4 strings, but more important, is the timing of the triplet. If you are able to hit all 4 strings would be the ideal, but timing is way more important . Let me know if that helps!
hmmm...it may sound a little softer while learning because you are playing with the flesh of your thumb. What is you strummed it a little hard when going down with your thumb? Does that help?
That close up camera angle is TERRIFIC! Well done and wow that 'fro, bro! Nice!

I can’t get this. My thumb going down sounds so soft. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
