Some other points on why I like Sly 2 > Sly 3 that I forgot to mention. -Sly 3's main villain was weak and more underdeveloped than some of the minor villains in Sly 2. -Sly 3's Rumble Down Under sucked ass. Guru is not fun to play. -Sly 2 had more intricate worlds with distinct points of interests, hidden parts, and buildings you can go in and out of at any time without being on a mission.
those are amazing semantic-filled points regarding inFAMOUS 1... and i gotta love how inFAMOUS 2 is placed at number 2 despite it being a very lackluster game especially within the inFAMOUS series...
7:18 I LOVE the environment in infamous 1. Everything looks dirty and depressing, not one thing in the city isn’t broken or dead. You have people dying in the streets, digging in the trash for food. Empire city is a hellhole, and the game does a perfect job of portraying that.
I think that Infamous 1 and Second Son should swap positions. Even with 1's performance issues, it is the better overall game. Second Son has the worst story of the three games, has a less interesting protagonist, and the story undermines Cole's sacrifice in 2. Empire City was a great setting in my view, and the washed out colour palette made sense given the fact that the entire city was in disarray. 1 is the best in the franchise off its strong story and atmosphere alone.
The story in second son is still solid and while he isn’t as good as Cole I’d argue Delsin is a solid protagonist and no second son doesn’t undermine his sacrifice. Cole sacrifices himself to cure the plague and kill the beast In second son the beast is dead and the plague is gone. If you mean the consequence then sure but not the reason why cole did it. Especially cause he’s still seen as a hero in the world of second son
Infamous Second Son was actually the reason I went with a PS4 that generation, no regrets. My only problem with the game is just how long the intro is before we finally get to Seattle, like it was fine first playthrough, but on repeat playthroughs it's a pain.
@@evan_a_morris I just didn’t really think much of it, very average story nothing interesting of note. All the characters could have been replaced by talking chairs. The gameplay was quite simplistic and just yea, meh.
Small thing I want to add onto second son is that a common theory is that the reason delsin seems weaker than coles electricity is due to delsin copying abilities because as we see in first light there were a few abilities fetch could do that delsin couldn’t do as shown in first light
I always took that as the games way of not having to many abilities when they have multiple powers. But lore wise i always imagined delsin is fully capable of reaching each powers full potential if he found more cores to upgrade.
That’s just because fetch has more experience than Delsin. He has the potential of the conduits he absorbs he just has to reach it tho. Either through core relays or training
Lethal+ turned GOT into something else man. it’s now my definitive way to play the game and i think people should play it in that difficulty too, i know its hard but damn it sure is gonna pay at the end.
They got too many games lol. Playing through all that would take a year. Maybe one day if I ever do this full time. I do got other rankings planned though.
Thought it was DLC/expansion of Infamous 2 which is why I didn’t include it. If we’re gonna treat it as its own full game then I would place it above First Light but below Infamous 1.
@@JoshGreenFist great answer! Yeah it’s downloadable content but, it’s a standalone. In other words you don’t need Infamous 2 to play the game. I don’t believe it ever got a physical release. Thanks for the reply!
Here me out. A Ghost of Tshumai "spiritual successor" You play as Pochantos which is just Lord Sakai. You bring back the wind mechanic and love of nature. The same way Lies of P can be about Pinocchio, this game will be loosely similar in inspiration but vastly different in execution. A princess that resembles peace between opposing tribes and an "invading force"... Deja Vu. Same set up, loosely inspired off a real life, made gamey. Bring back following animals and the wind mechanic. Replace sword combat (best part of tsushima)with another fighting system. The guerilla tactics of bases in tsushima can be cut and paced with native American tactics. IDK.
Maybe add more tree parkour? Signature weapon a tomahawk with a rope that can act like a boomerang or rope dart from AC? I know i would be missing the point of what she symbolized seeing as she was virtually a pacifist. Maybe a mistranslation or misinterpreting? She would symbolize peace not pacifism. Almost like how Tyre was the God of Peace AND War. Samurai and Ninja would use masks as scare tactics and symbolism of being angry spirits. Same can be done with how native Americans would paint themselves. You could even have a horse you name, paint, love and die like GoT, Shadow of the Collossus and RDR2.

Second Son was boring. I simply could not connect with any of the characters outside of Delsin's brother, and that was towards the end of the story. The powers seemed weak even maxed out. I just couldn't connect with the game, even though I collected the platinum trophy 😅
I personally have Infamous 1/2 and Ghost as Sucker Punches best games. With Sly and second son as decent games.i played Sly 2 recently and I wasn't a fan of the switch from linear to open hub world I find each hub to get pretty repetitive especially with the mission design always consisting of gimmicky mini games
If you look back at the infamous games you’ll realise that the first game actually had the best moral choice’s compared to the others. As it gives you valid reasons to become evil and made evil enticing to choose.
Tsushima was cool asthetically but sly and infamous were much better videogames. I hope they either make one of those or something entirely new rather than a tsushima sequel
I dunno what y’all losers hate on second son. Gameplay wise I think it’s amazing. Ghost of Tsushima was boring as hell, especially with not being able to skip cutscenes. I did 100% completion and it just felt like a chore I wanted to be over. Very reparative. I also give 2 shits about the samurai story or any story for that matter. Wonder how many of you gamers can’t help but psychologically simp to a game cause of the story. I separate gameplay from story all the time.
“Upholding Honor”?! Come on bro, you didn’t get the message of Ghost of Tsushima. At the start of the game, sure. Jin upholds honor and tradition but, as you progress further into the game, you see that he prefers Stealth and being The Ghost (aka NOT a Samurai) and he does this out of necessity to save his home and people.
That’s what I was referring to though. You get behind Jin early do to his duty driven attitude and honor. Didn’t want to get into his character development and the whole message of the game because this video isn’t about that. You would have to skip cutscenes not to get the themes. There as subtle as a hammer. Still a great game no less.
I stand by the fact that ghost of Tsushima is not a good game it’s more flaws than good game I just can’t get through it graphics and story don’t make up for the majority of what’s in between
