Why is this titled the rise and fall of Napoleon? This documentary only talks about the rise of Napoleon and only up to the point of where he seizes power in France.
IM TURK. MY DEPARTMENT IS INTERNATIONAL RELATİONS AND I LOOKED FRENCH HİSTORY AND NAPOLEON. HE İS ONE OF THE GREAT EMPEROR. 1-CHİNGİS KHAN 2- ALEXANDER THE GREAT 3- JULIS CESAR 4- TIMUR (TURKIC) 5- NAPOLEON 6- II MEHMET -OTTOMAN TURK (CONQUER OF KONSTANTİNOPLE)
NAPOLEON BONAPARTE...he's such a hero. I read a biography on him. Now I watched this video, which was AWESOME!!! I like how this video was made, and also the effects of the documentary.
This is a very interesting video, of a very famous historical figure from when he was young. All previous videos that I've watched had focused only on his rise to power, and his wars. But not the times that he was in military college, having to deal with those from established aristocratic families, for instance.
I quit at 10 minutes. If this documentary of 50 minutes has spent 20% of its time and Napolean is still a child of 9... is this supposed to be "The rise of Napoleon until he's old enough to drive"?
in the end Egypt defeated Napoleon and he left his army to return to France telling his followers he had a great victory which was a lie…shocked this documentary glossed over this
That's a myth. The French were taking overkill revenge for a smaller atrocity the Ottoman defenders of Jaffa had committed prior to the French storming the place.
Napoleon never understood sea power or its importance which is why the French left Egypt in defeat due to the British naval victory at the Battle of the Nile. Napoleon could not project power far overseas with his weak Navy and which could not protect French ports from many years of crippling embargoes by the British Navy.
Dis comment was written when drunk, don't take seriously, also not completed or fully thought out. Sure, everybody talks about how he did a lot of really horrible things later on, but still, he did some incredible stuff. Reconsidered the all-established views and stuff. The modern world kind of learned nothing at the median level. Sure, we have all the cool new stuff and neural networks are like on par with the early math in levels of importance and other big stuff, but, like, the median tho. Go work then come home, drink beer n' stuff listening to stories and rumors. Sure, we have work hard earn big jobs now, but wasn't that also a thing back then, like working through the system in clever ways and inventing new ways to do stuff better suited for the personal situation
My favourite hero from the west is only him. But my favourite hero from all over the globe absolutely goes to the Prophet Muhammad and his Companions. I’m not fanboy but i am speaking fact. @@pbrent3106 He, actually was invaded by those those countries. And he replaced them with Republics or other governments with revolutionary ideals. Those protectorates were better than the kingdom’s previous to them.
Fun fact Napoleon also read plutarchs lives in which he found famous men like Alexander and Caesar. I am on the life on Pompey. I am close to the life of Alexander and Caesar.😊 12:29
His downfall was the same as most people who craved power those who crave power always fall and end up with none from Napoleon to Mira Lago the story never seems to change. I don’t believe that money or power are the root of all evil I believe that motivation is the root of all evil motivation for money power and all those things that the most eventually humbled people are motivated to achieve.
His family had Italian origins (Tuscan and Genoese mostly), but he was born on Corsica, which was an independent island at the time, until the French annexed it. Napoleon actually grew up supporting Corsican independence from France, but then abandoned that idea after military school. Later on he would go on to conquer vast swaths of Italy (pretty much all of it) for France.
He was better than average height for his day and time. He was better than historians have previously given him credit for. He was actually 5'7. Again, above average for the time. Thanks.
