@EdgyNumber1 It should open in 2025. No exact date has been announced yet. Thanks for watching my video.

Will the 800s use east west rail in the future? Not sure why they'd run test trains as I'm pretty sure Chiltern will be running them (also I heard 196s will be used, what do you think about this?)

@NinjaSurferTrainspotting From what I've heard, the 800s are going to be using the route during diversions to Euston (these will reverse at either BLU or MKC). As for the 196s, I've heard that they will be units operating the services from OXF to MKC when they start next year. The 168s are only being used for testing.

So , with GWR , services from Swansea will use EWR but services from Penzance will go via acton main line , then via the freight lines

@@RandomTFLupdates-PEPS_FOR_LIFE but couldn't all trains use EWR?

@NinjaSurferTrainspotting yes and no , yes because the tracks are there for the train to simply to come up from Taunton, Swindon, reverse at Didcot pkway , Oxford then up to Bletchley then from there , into Euston via the WCML . No because that's the slower route, it's easier for the trains to do the existing route to reading, via Newbury and what not , then into acton then onto the WCML that way. I don't think that any of the diverts will use it anyway, because network rail has only given GWR permission to run from Oxford to Milton Keynes central, and Wilsden into Euston (on the divert days only) if u look on RTT , it'll tell you what's going where
